Colt Anderson deserved to make the team and Vinny Perretta played well in preseason as well.
I think Anderson was signed to the PS.

Maybe the Vikings can sign Todd Blythe. He would be a go to guy for the tough 3rd and 6.

I love the way Colt Anderson plays balls to the walls. But i guess the NFL cannot find a place for him. The only thingthat I cantake solicein, is that he may make the practice squad. Sadly that is an accomplishment for white players in the 21st century.

The Vikes only started 6 whites today (3 each on O and D). I thought they started more of our guys. I had hoped for at least 7-8.

Brett Favre has 480 passing TD's!... And nearly 70,000 passing yards.

Favre will come back next year and become KING! 500 TD passes, baby!

Favre is one of the best indeed. It's such a joke hearing some caste-lackeys, DWFs & (know-it-all) "bruthaz" say Favre's overrated/overhyped, etc.

RB Tyler Roehl is trying to make the Vikings as a FB. One of the DWFs in the comments section after the articleis a complete moron but others give Roehl some respect:

Former N.D. State standout to get a look

The Vikings havebegun the process ofextending invitations to their first minicamp.

The Grand Forks Herald reports that former North Dakota State running back Tyler Roehlwill be in attendance atthe Vikings' minicamp and that he will try to make the team as a fullback.

Roehl tore his ACL last year during an offseason workout with Seattle. The Seahawks had signed Roehl as a free agent. Roehl, a North Dakota native, rushed for 263 yards against the Gophers in 2007 at the Metrodome.

The Vikings' first minicamp, which is scheduled for May,is held for rookies and younger plays, so guys such as Roehl are oftenbrought in for a look. These playersaren't signed to a contract before the camp but rather try to earn adeal by impressing during the workouts.

He could play FB, but I think he'd be an even better power tailback. Roehl strikes me as a Michael Turner type- probably a slightly poorer version. Roehl also ran a 4.53- 40 and an impressive 4.2 short shuttle at his Pro Day last year and his best season and career (and athletic measurables) at NDSU was even better than his highly touted NFL prospect replacement Pat Paschall (black of course). BTW, Michael Turner has a similar body frame and style and ran a 4.21 short shuttle and a 4.49- 40 at the NFL combine and a 4.5 flat at his Pro Day.

I do like the Vikings' selections of Nate Triplett and Ryan D'Imperio, two linebackers that appear very much to be The Real Deal.

We'll just have to see how they get treated.

I was unsure of his stats, but I knew that he was an excellent player from watching him. I just found his stats:

http://espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=194495

After hardly playing his first 2 seasons, he exploded onto the scene as a Junior -- with 93 tackles and 5 sacks. He also did well last year, being in the rotation, as Rutgers subs a lot... gotta keep the affletes happy.

Vikings signed WR Logan Payne.

The Vikings know Payne well because he played his college ball at the University of Minnesota, but he's a long shot to make the team. Payne has a torn MCL and three career catches on his resume.

Logan Payne was signed to the Vikings today...he is a local product, the predecessor to Eric Decker at the University of Minnesota. I think he could have a decent chance at making the team.

Fat Pat Williams claims to have lost some of his lard and at 37 is still considered a great defensive lineman in the league. From Rotoworld:

Vikings NT Pat Williams claims to be down to 324 pounds after losing 18 pounds during the offseason.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain"> Now that
is hard to believe. Not that he's lost 18 pounds, but that it puts him
at 324 instead of 354. Williams also indicated that an elbow injury
that plagued him last year is no longer an issue, so he'll enter camp
healthy at age 37.

from rotoworld comes this little tidbit, to no surprise for us.

Logan Payne is reportedly outplaying all other candidates for the Vikings' fifth receiver job.

Payne claims to have run a 4.35 forty during a recent training session in Florida, so he's regained the form he showed in Seattle two years ago before a knee injury ended his season. He's not going to have any fantasy value, but the former Golden Gopher could provide quality depth for the Vikes in case injuries strike.

Apparently Percy Harvin wasn't faking his headaches in order to miss training camp. Harvin was taken off the practice field in an ambulance today - I just heard. This could be great news for Logan Payne's chances.

Things don't get any stranger than in the NFL. With Sidney Rice out for at least 8 games it would seem like a golden opportunity for Logan Payne to finally get some playing time. But no. Believe it or not, it looks like the Vikings are going to sign none other than Javon Walker thinking that he and Farve has some kind of connection.

Talk about inviting trouble. Not only is Javon Walker a discipline problem, he has more desire to gang bang at night clubs than play football. You'll remember that a couple years ago a teammate died in his lap in this vehicle because of drive-by shooting stemming from a conflict with Brandon Marshall and his posse.

Here's what this wonderful teammate said about Farve:

" Walker also said quarterback Brett Favre's comments on his plans to hold out for a better contract last year made living in Wisconsin difficult, and he felt it was unfair that the team let Favre interfere with Walker's squabble with management"

The guy hasn't done much of anything in the NFL since 2006 and yet he may bumb Logan Payne off the line-up - maybe off the roster.

While on the Raiders, Walker was dragged out of his Las Vegas hotel room, beaten down, and robbed of his expensive jewelry (jewelry, how masculine) and several hundred thousand in cash. It was one of the precious few instances in which an Afrolete received proper justice.

Seriously, this loser hasn't been relevant in 5 years. He was also permanently injured with the Packers and Raiders. I suppose anyone accept for Logan Payne will suffice, so long as he's of African pedigree.

I really hope Brett Favre didn't "lobby"Â￾ for this queer.

He probably did Thrashen. I wouldn't really care except for the fact that Logan Payne will most likely be on the cutting board because of this fabulous afflete.

Favre Gets Familiar Target; Vikes Sign Javon Walker

Here is a pertinent quote with concern to the Viking's decision to sign Walker"¦

From the article:
"It is believed the Vikings have ran the decision to Favre."Â￾

I have no clue if this is accurate or not. I'm sure smoking gun will emerge soon enough regarding Favre's involvement in the Walker signing (perhaps during a circle-jerk press conference). If Favre "recommended"Â￾ they sign Walker (as opposed to sticking with Harvin, Payne, Berrian, etc)"¦hopefully some of you guys will finally see the proverbial "light,"Â￾ haha.

The fact remains that the very talented Logan Payne has not been deemed "worthy"Â￾ of starting for the Vikings. Walker is very likely to be injured before the first game.Edited by: Thrashen

Sidney Rice was operated on and will miss the first half of the season or so. Percy Harvin is being plagued with migraine headaches, including being hospitalized by one the other day. They're the Vikings top two receivers. The very erratic Bernard Berrian is now the team's main receiver by default. Should open the door for Payne, who looks great, to make the team out of necessity and maybe even play in the regular season.

For the last week or so, Tru TV has been showing the taped replay of the trial resulting from Walker's beating and robbery.

It would be nice to see Kevin Curtis land with the Vikes...he & Logan Payne could wreck havoc!

This is still a 2009 thread??
