Larry Johnson is under heavy fire for his anti-homo comments. He may lose his job.

So let me get this straight, he has been arrested four times since 2003 on various assault charges against women. The team has suspended him a number of times for his behavior with his coaches, the league has suspended him once and he was quoted as saying that blacks play harder for black coaches then white ones, and now the fans are turning against him?

A brief review:
In 2003, he was arrested for felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor domestic battery for waving a gun at his then-girlfriend, during an argument at his home. The charges were dropped when Johnson agreed to participate in a domestic violence diversion program. In 2005, he was again arrested for assault when a woman accused Johnson of pushing her to the ground, but the case was dropped after the alleged victim failed to appear in court for three different hearings.

His third arrest for assault came on February 24, 2008, after allegedly pushing a woman's head at a nightclub on February 24.[17] On October 10, 2008, Johnson was arrested for the fourth time and charged with one count of non-aggravated assault for allegedly spitting a drink in a woman's face at a Kansas City nightclub on Oct. 11.

Hey jax, from watching the news reporting, you would think that us KC fans "just" turned on Larry. And only after he insulted the beloved homosexual community. Truth is, we've been wanting to get rid of the bum for a couple of years now, at least. But the way that the leftist news media spins things, you would think that this was only a recent phenomenon, and only because he insulted a media darling group. Heck, his foolish jabs invoking "****s" are the least offensive thing that he's done.

Yeah I can see it being the MSM pushing this. Most fans I know, actually ALL fans I know don't think kindly of gays and his insult wasn't at gays in particular but the media. Still I think the DWF's are being agitated because they think the guy is over the hill anyway. If he was still playing well they would be supporting him.

Chiefs released WR Bobby Engram.

The Chiefs are desperate for someone to emerge with Dwayne Bowe and Engram was clearly not the answer. Engram had five catches on the season and at age 36, he has to be thinking he may be near the end of the line. The Chiefs may give Lance Long a look in the slot over Engram, who has 650 career catches.

C'mon guys, quit being racist. Larry Johnson has a sparkling 2.7 yards per rush average this season and has been used as the Chief's workhorse back every game. He has every right to slam the coaches for treating him so poorly! Next thing you know, you racists will be claiming that there's a white running back somewhere in the U.S. who can average better than 2.7 yards per rush in the NFL. What the hell's wrong with you? Get with the program.

Spot on Don. There are numerous white tailbacks that could average a full YPC OR MORE than LJ for the Chiefs AND not have two arrests for beating women either.

Good news about Lance! I'd rather have Eric Peterman as a new white WR getting a chance (Peterman could AT LEAST be a VERY solid slot man IMO with the upside of a Donald Driver at Flanker), but hopefully Lance will make us proud!Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

I'm becoming heartened by the Chiefs' player (white) choices in recent days. They sorely missed McGraw, especially in run support yesterday. Fortunately, Garrard rarely throws downfield, but the few times that he did, Mike (washed up never-has-been) Brown and whatever other blacklete they put at safety, were not up to the task.
Lance has been a real go to guy for Cassell. He lined up at 1 and 2 frequently in this game, once Cassell and him develop some rhythm, it will be special. This team would be really good if we could get a couple of more white LB's, a white LT and Toby Gerhart!!

It is clear Pioli sees Lance Long for his talents and that he oculd develop into a slot demon for the Chiefs. If they draft Gerhart they will instantly go from zero to hero in a caste perspective.

The Chiefs are making strides as the season moves along becoming more white. They've just begun to solve their offensive line problems by putting in white guys. The line's weakness the last few games have been on the left side of the line, where Brian Waters has seemed to run out of gas recently, sumo Branden Albert is always injured, and fill-in Wade Smith is a revolving door at LT. Pioli seems to be much more race-friendly than Carl Peterson and his coach Herm "get me more bruthas" Edwards.
John McGraw should have been starting at FS for the last four years. If he had been, he would be a true terror now with the experience. I figure that he'll get there anyway in a year or so.

Nice of Rotoworld to editorialize on what the KC Star had to say: "More interesting, perhaps, is the emphasis on Long, the former practice squad receiver who was targeted 11 times Sunday." It's different to say "former practice squad player" and "practice squad type".

Well, maybe they throw it to him because he's always open, and actually catches the ball. I was busy doing productive things yesterday, so I didn't get to see much of the game, so I didn't see all three of the "targeted" balls that weren't complete. The only one I saw was a Cassell overthrow on a short timing route. Did Lance have any drops?

It's time to pick up Long in PPR leagues. He is not a great talent, but has clearly grabbed the slot receiver job Bobby Engram was originally ticketed for and plays in three-wide sets. Matt Cassel is showing trust in the former undrafted free agent, as Long led the team in targets Sunday.

i guess Engram, Bowe, Bradley are all great talents? or even washed up Chambers (although eh did play well yesterday, no denying)
