2008 NFL Draft Scorecard

Andy Studebaker was a nice pick for the Eagles. 17 whites in 6th. every round should be like that one...

EDIT: actually, 18 whites, forgot the punter

Uh oh, I had 16? Did you count Mays from ND State as white? He is black.

Durant Brooks, Trevor Scott, Lynch, Mehlaff, Hayden, Larsen, Gibson, Harrington, Brennan, Humpal, Schmitt, Sullivan, Santi, Ruud, Justice, Studebaker, Sherry, so 17 after all

Oh, I missed Trevor Scott. This is the picture they had of him on rivals:

Here is him on Buffalos site:

That's why I missed him originally.

Am I correct in saying that no white D-lineman was selected between Chris Long at #2 overall and Nick Hayden in the 6th round?

How does a country that has millions of white kids growing up and playing the game produce a situation where this happens?

I`m not talking about cornerback or running back, for cryin` out loud. I`m talking about the big, strong, tough guys in the trenches-of which there should be plenty of standout whites in abundance for NFL teams to choose from.

Brett Swain taken ahead of Todd Blythe, Luke Swan and Danny Amendola (who's been compared to Welker); I'm surprised! The NFL draft will always surprise you though. We need Woodhead taken. Lets start a chant Woodhead, Woodhead, Woodhead...Someone take this talented man!

It's good to see the respect given to Caleb Campbell.

Hillis to Denver

Hillis must have bombed in interviews or had some troubling medical issue. There's really no other explanation for how he fell that far.

I'm also thrilled that the Lions added Caleb Cambell. I thought he would have been picked earlier though.

Is everyone enjoying ESPN's periodic rountable of experts as much as I am? Three black males and a white female.

Sure there is. Peyton had the most vindictive coach in all of sports. Nuttjob undoubtedly badmouthed him to any NFL scouts who called for a reference. Hillis never got along very well with Nutt, and after he criticized Nutt's braindead play calling this last season, that ended their player/coach relationship permanently. And Nutt's posse is extremely aggressive when it comes to destroying any player who takes sides against him.

It's not looking good for Danny Woodhead or Tood Blythe now.

Kicker Brandon Coutu goes to Seattle.
