He looks white to me, but then again tight end prospect Dustin Keller is black/mixed race and that is a German surname....

Is Army's Caleb Campbell white, or very light-skinned? I usually root a bit for the service academy athletes, as they're usually a long shot to make the NFL, but he's within the top ten strong safeties this year. Just can't tell tho.

He's all white

I was going to mention him, Caleb Campbell is almost 6'2" and 230 lbs and ran around a 4.55, better than many corners. That's a hell of an accomplishment, plus I think he was tied for first (with Zibby) on the bench press. Although a 4.55 is a plenty good time for a safety, do you think he would be more of an asset as an OLB in a Tampa-2 type scheme?

Also, Silva's time was pretty bad, shockingly bad considering how much he flies around the field on tape. He should still get a late round pick or a preferred UDFA though. Honestly though, black or white, if you're a DB and you run that poor of a time (especially if you're kind of small like Silva), you're gonna drop.

Campbell did put up some nice Combine numbers, he did tie Tom Z with 24 reps at 225. I watched the DB drills yesterday and didn't see Campbell participate. Anyone know why?

Regarding Silva, I strongly believe that he'll be drafted. Sure, it could be late, but he'll be drafted. He looked very good in the DB drills yesterday, and made a very good name for himself in the postseason all-star game that he played in.

Tom Z may very well be a 3rd round pick. He has that "boxer" reputation, but peole forget that he was a stud with the ball at Notre Dame retuning punts and picking off passes.

My first memory of Tom Z dates back to the ND-Stanford game back in the fall of 2004 when he literally ripped the ball out of the hands of the wideout and proceeded to run the ball into the endzone.

This guy can really play football.

I think Campbell raised his draft stock up to the 3-4 rd area. He just had some great workouts showing off his athleticism. Now I know your all worried about Silva's uwful time but there is hope. if he can pull off something in the 4.6s on Boston College's Pro Day I think he still gets drafted. But man a 4.8 is just going to get ingrained into some of these scouts and GMs heads and they'll just completly wipe him off their draft boards.

Strength and Condition coach Lott called Zibby "Rudy" ,
Trying to display Zibby as some sort of overacheiver and undertalented individual.

Typical Caste behaviour

Zibby had none of it though
Told him "Dont ever call me that again",

and walked straight out of the room cursing and swearing after the Bench Press.

White Guys with attitutde,The NFL certainly dont like them, thats for sure.

that was awesome..I have it on tape.

Z looks like he understands the Caste System and has a serious chip. He would fit in here and wouldn't be surprised if he reads Castefootball

Can someone explain to me the Rudy reference as I don't know that one

Danny Rudy Reuttiger an ex Yeoman in the US Navy, then returned to College and attempted to get into ND.

undersized player about 5'5 and no more than 160. He worked his ass off to get on to the ND team and got on in two plays in the last game of his college career, where he sacked the QB on one of them.
Hes the definition of an an overachiever really,
Got into ND on his 3rd attempt and then found out he had dyslexia.

You can be sure a black player from ND wouldnt be called Rudy thats for sure

Anyone have a link to the tape of that incident? I'd love to see it but am now living TV-less.

I havent seen the footage, or heard what was said during the bench press....but do you guys remember the anti-caste article featuring Zbikowski and his father? In the aritcle, they were saying that a white athelete (like Tom) is never said to be fast. They said only typical buzz words like; "deceptive speed," and "high motor" are used. I've never seen truthfullness like this before.

If Tom ever gets past the standard white special teams player...he'll be my favortie player in the NFL because of his attitude toward to caste-system.

Funny how they don't call Devin Hester a black return specialist....

http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=140591
"The name game: Other than the name, LSU's white running back Jacob Hester doesn't have a lot in common with the Bears' Devin Hester, but he's been asked about him often enough to have a quick response.
"He's my cousin," said Hester, who rushed for 1,103 yards last season but is only a marginal prospect because of a lack of speed. "People always mess with me and say, 'Man, your cousin did good today.' I actually got a chance to meet him at the NFL Players party during the Super Bowl week. I told him that joke, and he thought it was pretty funny."
The two originally met at the conclusion of the 2005 season, in the Peach Bowl, when LSU whaled on the Hurricanes 40-3. Devin Hester rushed seven times for 24 yards and caught 2 passes for 40 yards, while Jacob Hester picked up 70 yards on 13 carries.
"We were going to switch jerseys at the end of the game," Jacob Hester said, "but then there was a big brawl at the end of the game, so that kind of went down the tubes."
At 5-10½ and 230 pounds, Hester could have value as a fullback/one-back/special-teams player, even if he doesn't project as a classic featured running back. He said he'd be happy to end up with the Bears, even if it meant having a "J" on his jersey in front of "Hester."
"That would be awesome," he said. "I love the cold weather, and that's something I'd love to play in, especially on a team with that much tradition."

Man, this garbage gets worse all the time. Thanks to a bone-headed decision to eat a McNasty combo today, my stomach isn't feeling good anyway, and now this crap! I think I'm going tobe sick.

Yeah, that story was stupid as hell. Aside from the obvious reverse-racism (calling Jacob by his race, but not Devin), this story was meaningless and poorly written at best.

I'm sure the author is some nerdy white loser who worships NFL athletes....despite the fact that most of the "skills" players are rarely faster than your average high school player. What a p*ssy.

In all reality, Jacob Hester has less talent than Brian Leonard....and we all know how that turned out
smiley7.gif
. You'd think with a league filled to the brim with ineffetive, has-been black RBs, they'd give guys like Hester, Leonard, Staley, Woodhead, etc a chance. Maybe guys like this would actually RUN HARD for their team instead of p*ssyfooting through the holes like 95% of NFL backs. Ahh, how I love affirmative action!Edited by: Thrashen

I know that it's been stated here before on this site, but we really do need more of our white players to have the guts to speak up for themselves and more specifically, their role moving forward in the league.

I'm a big fan of Jacob Hester. He needs to state with some degree of authority "I was the leading tailback for the nation's best team, in the nation's best conference."

He needs to be steadfast in articulating his desire to have a role in the NFL whereby he will be carrying the ball. Sam McGuffie has done this as a high school recruit.

Brian Leonard is a skilled player, and he was a great team guy at Rutgers when he accepted the fullback role and allowed Ray Rice to be the featured tailback. But, as we all know, this got him nowhere.

It's time that white players look out for themselves, and do what's best for their careers. Hindsight is 20/20, but Leonard should have told Schiano no. He should not have accepted a subordinate role to Rice. If Schiano took issue with this, Leonard could have transferred.

Jordy Nelson needs to do the same. I saw some clips of him speaking and doing a few interviews on 'You Tube'. Great guy, nice guy, but hopefully he's not too nice.

We need our white skill players to adopt an Alan Faneca type attitude. They need to make demands, they've earned the right to. Hester ran for 1,000 yards. Nelson caught 122 balls and was a 1st team All-American. Peyton Hillis and Owen Schmitt put up some serious yards per carry numbers and displayed a propensity for making long runs.

Our guys have established themselves and have developed what Mike Mayock calls "a body of work".

Now it's time for them to not be shy about it, and cash in.

Good post, Stonewall.White playersneed to start stickingup for themselves in a forceful but not explicitly racial way. Everyone knows whites are almost always unselfish team players, but it's been taken to an extreme by the Caste System in a way that's routinely used against them.

Most of the black players out there say whatever they want and make all kinds of demands and get no criticism for it. This is the advantage of being a "natural athlete." If a few guys like Nelson or Hester, who both had good seasons, started to open their mouths people would notice. No better way to get the message out than by the white athletes themselves.

Army allows its players to serve two years as a recruiter if they have a chance to play in the NFL. this allows them to not only serve their commitment, but also enhance the reputation of Army (and Army football) by being a high profile athlete.

How fast did he run the 40?
a lot of scouts and schools won't share the 40 times of the athletes at their Pro Days for some reason. however, he was said to have run fast enough to surprise the scouts in attendance.

we'll probably be able tofind out what he ran it in a few days from now...

Yeah, unfortunately a great resource for pro days from prior years doesn't appear to be up anymore (nfl.com Gil Brandt's Pro Day Notes). It usually starts to leak out if someone does very well or very poorly within a day or so.

Deion Sanders is talking up Tommy Z big time after the Combine. Hard to fathom why, unless Deion respects talent when he sees it. I wonder if Tommy Z might not be seen as more a tough guy by blacks due to his boxing background.
