nah, man. apparently BEars are set at wide receiver, what with ageless Moose and stone handed Berrian... Adam Archuleta is also out, broken hand. should be back for next week though.

JJ already has a TD, Brian is doing fine so far, 3 carries for 19 yards!

man, Brian gets no help from his o-line or injured Bulger... he ripped off several yards of over 6, 7 yards but often he had to break tackles in the backfield. so far he has 14 runs for 54 yards.

wow, Bulger is f**king terrible. i mean wtf, he took a sack with Leonard open for a short pass and possible TD and then he throws it right to the defender in the red zone...

We've had a Jerheme Urban sighting -- he just made a nice catch on a pass from Leinart.

You guys are being too hard on Bulger. He shouldn't even be playing. He can barely move back there. His ribs are all banged up. I've had bruised ribs before and it is hard to even breath let alone be a starting qb in the nfl. He is a pro bowl player who is as good as almost any qb in the league. They need to let him rest for around a month as he is only hurting the Rams by playing when his health is horrible.

Brian Leonard had a descent game but could never find much of a rhythmn as the Cowboys made it ugly quickly. They also knew that Bulger can barely move and just unloaded on him all day long. It sucks to see the Rams at 0-4 but that's how it goes. Hopefully they can keep it a little closer next week and get Leonard 20-25 touches.

Joey Harrington is quietly playing very efficient football right now. QB rating over 90 I believe.

Get ready for Fumblepepper hype all over again. He had a good game against a terrible Dolphins team.

Loved the Fitzsimmons onside kick return for a TD. Don't see that very often.

Yeah Culpepper really changed the perception of black QB's with his 7 of 12 for 75 yds and 3 rushing TD's. He must think he's Vince Young or something. Mucho fantasy points though, 5 TD's sheesh!

then he shouldn't be there. Gus Frerotte is a very good backup and could have gotten a job done. he was missing wide open people and could hardly even move. by staying in the game he hurt his team. so yeah i am hard on him, because his inability to move the ball costed Leonard a good game.

have you seen the touchdown catch Dallas Clark just made? wow, talk about hands!

I guess Rex Grossman isn't the only problem for the Bears. I know Griese pretty good, they'll be begging for Grossman in a couple of games.

Sad about the Rams o-line. I hope Brian gets another real chance next week. At least he led all rushers in the game. We knew it wouldn't be easy for them to win.

Frerotte did finally come in for Bulger. Bulger is tough but needs for his ribs to heal before playing again. Who'd have thought the Rams would be the weakest offense in the league through 4 weeks?

I thought Leonard played pretty well. The cowboys stacked the line, they did not seem to respect the Rams passing game. The Rams O-line is in bad shape so with all that considered I thought Leonard played well.

As for the Bears, put in f**king Hass...he played with Griese all preseason and has a rapport with him. Hass would not have pulled a Berrian and let that pass bounce off his hands. I actually think Orton is the best QB on the team, he performed admirably as a rookie 2 years ago and from anything I have heard he has looked good.

Oh yea and Culpepper...what a great QB he is. I can't stand the guy, he did nothing today except play the role of TD vulture.

isn't that the truth. Old Black Quarterbacks who have any modicum of success never die, they are merely recycled over and over again. They are also bad teammates like both Culpepper and McNabb have proven over the course of their career. McNabb can't even stand the thought of a young white QB being drafted early behind him and all Culpepper has done is sulked on the sidelines when he is not in the game over the last couple of years. Donovan Mcnabb will be 32 years old next year and is constantly hobbled. With his injury history he can't expect to be a starter forever. So does he help groom a young kid who could step after a few years, or step in a year or two when he is on one of his extended injuries and maybe help get the team to the playofss, was he happy for Jeff Garcia who stepped up and got the Eagles to the playoffs? Heck no he whined and complains and plays the race card. Instead of wanting to go into 07 with Garcia as a capable backup he complains and uses his leverage to have Garcia run out of town. That tells me McNabb doesn't care about his teammates or his team, all he cares about is McNabb. He doesn't want anyone capable behind him, because it has to be the McNabb show or nothing. They showed a shot of Josh McCown smiling and talking to Culpepper who had a good day. Did Culpepper ever give McCown any words of encouragement on the sidelines, heck did he ever even speak to him? Not that I could tell from any clips. The whole first 3 weeks everytime they showed Culpepper on the sidelines he had a scowl on his face and looked like he was thinking "get me in this game coach, you cracker." White players in the NFL have to learn to stop supporting these guys. If they want to be islands all to themselves and are only happy when they are in the spotlight, then let them do it on their own. I'll never understand what Mike Furrey did. Granted he had a pretty good game today, but when Johnson comes back he will most likely be back in his supporting role. Certainly no black starter is going to lobby for a white player to come in and replace him. Edited by: Bear Backer

Great post, Bear Backer.

Sadly, these sefish Black players almost always get what they want. The coaches are always catering to their every whim to keep them happy, which is nearly impossible with most Black athletes, often at the expensive of the team. Sadder yet, every time there is a Black athlete who isn't completely selfish, even if he is more selfish than any white player, he is endlessly praised by the media as being team-first and a great leader. How often have we heard that about Ladainian Tomlinson? No, he is not a selfish player but he's still not a great leader like Peyton Manning or Jeff Garcia but do we ever heard their selflessness and leadership? No! Cause it's expected of white players and those who don't conform are attacked. Just look at how Brady Quinn was treated by Browns fans and media during his holdout.
