isn't that the truth. Old Black Quarterbacks who have any modicum of success never die, they are merely recycled over and over again. They are also bad teammates like both Culpepper and McNabb have proven over the course of their career. McNabb can't even stand the thought of a young white QB being drafted early behind him and all Culpepper has done is sulked on the sidelines when he is not in the game over the last couple of years. Donovan Mcnabb will be 32 years old next year and is constantly hobbled. With his injury history he can't expect to be a starter forever. So does he help groom a young kid who could step after a few years, or step in a year or two when he is on one of his extended injuries and maybe help get the team to the playofss, was he happy for Jeff Garcia who stepped up and got the Eagles to the playoffs? Heck no he whined and complains and plays the race card. Instead of wanting to go into 07 with Garcia as a capable backup he complains and uses his leverage to have Garcia run out of town. That tells me McNabb doesn't care about his teammates or his team, all he cares about is McNabb. He doesn't want anyone capable behind him, because it has to be the McNabb show or nothing. They showed a shot of Josh McCown smiling and talking to Culpepper who had a good day. Did Culpepper ever give McCown any words of encouragement on the sidelines, heck did he ever even speak to him? Not that I could tell from any clips. The whole first 3 weeks everytime they showed Culpepper on the sidelines he had a scowl on his face and looked like he was thinking "get me in this game coach, you cracker." White players in the NFL have to learn to stop supporting these guys. If they want to be islands all to themselves and are only happy when they are in the spotlight, then let them do it on their own. I'll never understand what Mike Furrey did. Granted he had a pretty good game today, but when Johnson comes back he will most likely be back in his supporting role. Certainly no black starter is going to lobby for a white player to come in and replace him.

I agree. Granted, McNabb had a good game last week, but then, if you get paid millions of dollars a year to throw a ball around, then you'd better be able to step up and do so well, and in a consistent manner.

BUT --

McNabb wants to be treated like a hero for his "uncanny" knack for sometimes playing as well as the average white quarterback, most of whom typically outplay him anyway and are notably less arrogant or self-deluded in doing so.

It all revolves around the fact that McNabb is a black athlete playing a legitimately white caste position, since blacks have repeatedly shown themselves utterly incompetent in this leadership slot despite being given repeated chances and excuses made for them, where as whites in caste positions for the most part succeed despite racism against them.

As a non-white (and non-black) with nothing to gain either way, I DON'T find myself asking "why aren't there more McNabbs?" nearly as often as "why aren't there more Drew Bennets?" Edited by: yanling

I think the fact that there are non-whites who acknowledge our cause is very telling. +++Respect for yanling.

damn, first McNabb missed Kevin, then he dropped one. even Madden said that it was unusual since he has great hands.

McNabb needs to wake up. Kevin Curtis has no catches after the first half... McNabb is 5/13 for 44 yards...

well, there you go with your sumo o-linemen. Giants had NFL record 12 sacks on McNabb. Winston Justice let his guy get 6... Runyan held Strahan to 1 sack.

still, what a terrible freakin game.Edited by: backrow

Note to Andy Reid: If you want to get McNabb killed, find a few more black lineman like Winston Justice at tackle.

Yeah and way to make adjustments to help the hapless sumo out a bit.

Other than the first half against the Lions last week, McNabb has looked bad all season. The Eagles have made the horrible Giants defense look all-world tonight.

blah... he threw 1 pass to Shockey...

i am so disappointed in this game... i was thinkin that both Shockey and Curtis will have big games, and hoping for some Schobel/Celek peppered in there. there was not a single white player on Giants defense all game, not even Blackburn. blah

Well, I want Shockey to have a good game as much as anyone, but I knew Eli and want to see him do well too. I'd rather see him win a game throwing one pass to Shockey than lose one in the same situation, but I'd prefer to see him win one and throw a lot to Shockey.

I didn't see the game, did Shawn Andrews give up any of those sacks? He was the heaviest guard ever when he was drafted, and was on his way to eating himself out of the league until he got his weight under control and started playing better.

Expectthe Culpepper "revival"to be quite short-lived. If Miami had been able to stop the run at all and forced Culpepper to throw it would have been a different game. As it was Lamont Jordan was runningvery wellbefore re-injuring his back and being replaced by the less than immortal scrub Justin Fargas, who ended up leading the league in rushing today with 179 yards in about a half of play. Meanwhile, Culpepper was 5 of 12 for a less thanManning-esque 75 yards. Hell, it wasn't even Vick-esque.

It is incomprehensible how a scrub like Fargas can stay in the NFL and better white players cannot even make it.

Yep, the white half of Justin Fargas had 11 carries for 89.5 yards!

Dallas Clarks is a beast! I reckon he's the most reliable man in the NFL when it comes to catching the ball. He also never seems to drop it even when hit with big impact, solid as you like. Tony Romo showed he is the best rushing QB with his recovery run and his TD run. Nice to see Jerheme Urban getting a decent chance. Are there any other ginger players in the NFL?

Jeff Garcia, Rocky Boiman from the top of my head.

From a wire report:

A group of Dolphins fans took out their anger on the Raiders for manhandling their team by pelting the team buses with rocks and bottles as they departed Dolphin Stadium. A bottle shattered a window on the fourth of six Raiders buses, with the glass falling inside on the occupants, according to a team official who requested anonymity. The damage was severe enough that the bus driver deemed the bus unsafe for travel, ordered the occupants off the bus and onto the five other buses. This happened in the presence of a police escort, without the main assailant being caught. The five buses eventually made it out of the parking lot but not without being drilled by an assortment of objects, the team official said. No one was injured.

damn, Heath Evans got 2 goal line carries but came up just short. i mean inches.

so Brady went to their second biggest goal line threat - MIke Vrabel - for a TD reception!

Yeah, it was tough watching Heath not get in, but it was awesome to see Mike get the score. They said 7 career receptions, all for TDs!

Black players on the Bengals are probably already busy hallucinating about how white guys did not just score on them.
