    Draft

According to the Houston Chronicle this morning, four scouts timed Vince Young in the 40. The times recorded by each scout: 4.57, 4.60, 4.60, 4.61. So the 4.57 reported on NFL.com is on the generous side.

There have been fast white sprinters.....

Jervey, you make some good points and I pretty much agree with your assessment. I think what myself and White Lightning are preaching here is white participation in track. I believe that there are white kids out there that have the physical tools to be elite 100m sprinters, but for whatever...

Grateful to have found Caste Football!

    Welcome aboard Josh.

    Draft

I predicted in another thread a few months ago that Young would run a 4.6 if he ran at the combine, so I wasn't far off. My next prediction is that Reggie Bush runs a 4.48 at his pro day. It will also be a shock to the "experts" who say he is the fastest man in college football.

    Draft

Soelberg ran in the mid 4.3's at his Pro Day.

    Draft

Vince Young ran a 4.57 sec 40 at his Pro Day. Not slow, but hardly the breakaway speed that everyone said that he had. He is about as fast as Mike Hass, who everyone says is slow.

There have been fast white sprinters.....

Why are we suspicious? Hmm, let's see Ben Johnson, Carl Lewis, Tim Montgomery, Marion Jones, Kelli White: all top black sprinters busted for drug use. I also heard that there are more sprinters implicated in the new book about the BALCO case. To be continued....Edited by: SteveB

There have been fast white sprinters.....

Maybe blacks don't have the athletic ability to compete in the HJ. Blacks hardly dominate soccer. Look at the last 20 years of the World Cup and see how many African teams have won it. Blacks are barely hanging on in boxing. Other big time sports where blacks AREN'T dominant: baseball...

    world record bass?

Yeah, that story has made the rounds on all of the fishing blogs. What's amazing is the guy catches the holy grail of fishing and LET'S THE FISH GO! That is going to fuel the skeptics. If he wanted the fish to live, he should have called the dept of fish and game and donated it like the guy...

    Time conversions

I have seen this formula used, which seems to be pretty accurate: 100m time = (2*60m time) - 3.00 So, a 6.50 would be 10.00. Yepishin's 6.52 would be a 10.04. Add a little tailwind to that and he breaks 10.00. Edited by: SteveB

    Charley Rosen is an idiot!

One thing that you always notice when these guys are criticizing Yao, Dirk, Peja, etc is they say they are a liability on defense. Well let's see, if Yao scores 36 pts and the other teams center scores 7 pts, then it would seem that the other teams center is the defensive liability, not Yao.

    Charley Rosen is an idiot!

Last week Rosen wrote a terrible article about Darko and today he comes out and blasts Yao Ming. Yao is not white, but the same criticisms are applied to him as white NBA players. Yao has been dominating since he came back from injury and is the only reason the Rockets are in the playoff hunt...

    Jordan Peterson

I hear that Shipley is healthy and performing well in spring practice. You wouldn't know it by reading the UT message boards. It's the typical white hating fans that believe that he is overrated. Even though he plays for UT (Aggies arch enemy), I hope he does well this year.

    Derek Gearman

I saw that post on DD also and I sent them an e-mail to make a correction. Gearman transferred to Minnesota to run track. I haven't found any information if he will play football or not. It would be a waste if the Gophers didn't let me play both sports.Edited by: SteveB

    Jordan Peterson

Every year at this time, A&M has an event called the "Night of Champions" where the football team puts on a weightlifting/agility competition for the student body to attend. Jordan Peterson wowed the crowd by setting a school record in the vertical jump competition with a 41" jump. This year...

    2006 World Indoor Championships

I just watched the 60m video that Lightning mentioned and Osovnikar closed incredibly fast. From the looks of it, Yepishin was fading at the end, but the way Osovnikar was closing, I could see him finishing 1 or 2 if it had gone 100m. This could be Matic's year.

    NCAA Indoor Championships

Griffin finished 5th in the 60m with a 6.69. Not bad since this is his first year of focusing on track in the last 5 years. Good luck to him in the outdoor season. Aaron Buzard finished 4th in the 400m, Trey Hardee quit the heptathlon after a blistering 60m hurdles. At the end of the 60m...

    Hines Ward and South Korea

I am of the same philosophy as guest301. Blacks can be successful in America, but they have to get rid of the victim mentality and the destructive parts of "black culture". I have two black neighbors, one is a district manager for Exxon and the other is a real estate investor, both very...
