    jordan peterson

Jordan is having a great game for the Aggies. He just intercepted a pass and returned it 57 yds, leading to an Aggie TD. He also has a pass breakup that was almost intercepted and a couple of big tackles.Edited by: SteveB

    RB/S - Rex Burkhead

This video is good for a laugh. It is the highlights of yesterday's game between #7 ranked Plano, a white surburban school, and Dallas Carter, an all black inner city school. There are a couple of highlights of Rex Burkhead rushing for TDs. Plano 42, Carter 7

    RB/S - Rex Burkhead

Plano TX High School junior Rex Burkhead is the most heavily recruited white RB in Texas for the class of 2009. As a sophmore, he rushed for 1030 yds playing both RB and QB during the season. His athletic ability is incredible. As a 5'-8" 8th grader he was dunking during basketball games...

    Soutlake Carroll is number one

Southlake Carroll takes on Miami's Northwestern High School on ESPNU tonight in a made for TV matchup. SLC has won 49 straight games and goes for a state record 50th win. Northwestern is the defending Florida 6A Champs. They are ranked 1 & 2 in the USA Today national high school poll. SLC is...

    jordan peterson

Jordan was inconsistent the first two games, making a good play then following it up with a bad one. Carpenter is a senior and a couple of years ago was the same way allowing Jordan to get his shot. From what I can tell, it will probably be cornerback by committee with Jordan in the rotation...

    RB - Sam McGuffie

He was visiting the A&M football practice a couple of weeks ago as a guest, so make of it what you will. Not too many recruits get that kind of treatment especially after committing to another school. I think the door is still open.

various 100m results around the globe

You are correct, the 1984 Olympics started the sprint "arms race". Carl Lewis made a ton of money from his success and everyone wanted a piece of the action. Before 1984, the 10 sec barrier had only been broken a handful of times. If you look at the World Champs and Olympics from 1960 to...

    2007 Colorado State Rams

The Rams held tough against #10 California losing 34-28. The same Cal team that whipped Tennessee last week 45-31. Bell had a good game rushing 26 times for 102 yds and 2 TDs.

    Kellen Theriot

I have followed Kellen's high school career the last two years and it is interesting that he is projected to be a RB/FB in college. He is a dual threat QB in a high school that runs a spread offense. He reminds me a lot of Matt Schobel who was a dual threat QB in high school with good speed...

    RB - Sam McGuffie

For folks in Southeast Texas, Cy-Fair will be playing Houston Stratford on FSN Houston tomorrow night. Stratford features Andrew Luck, one of the top QBs in the country, a Stanford recruit, and son of former Houston Oiler QB Oliver Luck. McGuffie vs. Luck, there will probably be 80+ points...

2007 World Championships of Track & Field

Wow! Greek sprinter Anastásios Gousis runs the fastest 200m in the first round at 20.11! Who is this guy? I hope that he didn't burn himself out in the first round. Osovnikar, Hongisto (FIN), Dolphin (NZ), Cribari (SUI), Hoogmoed, Jedrusinski (POL), Abrantes (POR), Teplykh (RUS)...

    Matt Giordano

It's interesting to read his bio and see the caste system at work. From Wikipedia: High School Years Attending Buchanan High School in Clovis, California, Giordano played a key role as team co-captain in Buchanan's inaugural Valley championship in 2000. As a senior, he had five...

    2007 Ohio State Buckeyes

I agree with whiteCB as that has been my experience also. The DB coach at Texas A&M is Van Malone (former safety at Texas) and he continually praises Jordan Peterson at CB despite taking the arrows from media about starting Peterson.

I'll be watching. If it is like last year's game, Sam will have 250 yds and 5 TDs by half time.

    RB - Sam McGuffie

Not really that amazing, Adrian Peterson started his freshman year at Oklahoma and was in the running for the Heisman. There are more but that is the one that I can think of off the top of my head. Look at Michigan's depth chart and I think that McGuffie could start his freshman year...

It looks like Staton Jobe is working his way into the mix at WR. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08 /06/AR2007080601779.html (you have to read down the article to see the mention of Staton) Stanton was an All-State receiver in Texas and his team's MVP. He played...

    RB - Sam McGuffie

McGuffie will be playing his senior year of high school ball this fall. Next year, he will be at Michigan with Hart long gone and only one other RB to compete against him for the starting job. Unless he gets hurt, he will be the starting RB at Michigan his freshman year.

    RB - Sam McGuffie

Sam just announced on the Houston local TV station that he would be attending Michigan. Pretty much what I suspected. We will see if Carr gives him a shot.
