    McNabb nonsense....

By the way, just feel I need to point out that I'm not ripping Kolb, I'm relating what the ESPN talking heads had to say about him. They don't realize it, but when they compare numbers like they are, they're essentially saying the 'former All-Pro, future Hall of Famer' is no better than a guy...

    NFL Week 12 2008

Peyton just threw an INT, the ball was misplace but his old buddy Harrison didn't do anything to prevent it. Didn't jump for the ball, hit the defensive back, nothing... just let the guy grab it.

    McNabb nonsense....

On ESPN radio this afternoon, one of the talking heads was ripping Reid for benching his 'former All-Pro, probable Hall of Fame quarterback,' when his team was down just 10-7 going into the half. It was nauseating. But surprisingly, his co-talking head pointed out that McNabb has had 9...

They said Hatton had to lose 42 pounds to make weight for this fight. Wow. Edited by: White Shogun

Yeah, those knees to the body hurt him. I wouldn't be surprised if Bang broke a couple of Yves' ribs.

    Strikeforce 10pm EST 11/21/08

I was interested, I just didn't post before the fight. Matter of fact, I have you to thank for reminding me the fights were on tonight. I actually enjoyed the fights though, thought most of them were decent fights. The Riggs fight was entertaining, kind of glad to see him get the win. I...

    Peyton Hillis

They even talk about his accent. I haven't read every article about every black player ever to be written, but of the many I have read, I have yet to see any of them talk about ebonics, and 'that's just how he talk, man.'

    Black QB’s and sustained drives

I've never seen a quarterback get more mileage out of 'almost' doing something than Steve McNair for losing the Super Bowl.

    Team player.... or else?

He's basically saying that fullbacks aren't talented. I hope the guys who block for him remember these words.

    Black QB’s and sustained drives

Either way, the myth is still being perpetrated that the TD would have won the game, and it's given McNair some kind of mystical aura for 'almost' having won a Super Bowl.

    Freedom and WN

War or extinction... well, the way I see it, if those things are inevitable, there isn't anything I can do about it. But right now I can still try to hold back the tide. I'm going to plug as many holes in the dike as I can, and hope others will do the same. If I'm over run, so be it.. I'm ready...

    Black QB’s and sustained drives

Don't want to bust on you, Riggins, but that's a myth. This has been repeated so often in watering holes and break rooms every time McNair's name is mentioned that people think it's true. That touchdown would have tied the game, not win it. The final score for Super Bowl XXXIV: Rams 23...

    Couture vs. Lesnar

I know it's interesting to speculate about who would beat who, but I'm curious as to why most of you seem to be looking for Lesnar's downfall already. Sure, Fedor can beat him - but I'd rather see Lesnar v Kongo, Lesnar v Gonzaga, Lesnar v Silva. I'd like to see Lesnar reign for a long time.

    NFL Week 11 2008

Did Hillis have any long runs? His ypc is 4.4 yards per. That's an awesome average. I was wondering if he had any long runs that would skew his average.

    Freedom and WN

On many of the political threads here in Happy Hour, the discussion often turns to WN as a movement, and as a corollary to that, the support, or lack thereof, that a particular politician will lend to that movement. I know many of you are looking for a politician to be outspoken in his...

    Couture vs. Lesnar

By the way, we have no reason to hate on Lesnar on this board. The guy is a legitimate NCAA wrestling champion, extremely athletic, and has a great attitude toward training. He only wants to fight the best, no cans. I think it's great that a guy like Brock is the UFC heavyweight champ.

    Couture vs. Lesnar

Randy actually did better than I expected. On a couple of occasions he was actually able to pin Lesnar against the cage, and at one point, in an incredible display of back strength, he actually just stood up with Brock draped across his back. In the end, I think he underestimated Brock's size...

    The Greatest Danger from Obama

Funny, no one has ever been held accountable for trashing Bush for eight years. I mean, they've written entire books about how idiotic Bush is, how stupid he is, how evil he is, how chimp-like... I don't like Bush, either, but I certainly don't want anybody to serve jail time or even pay a fine...

    The Return of Mikey Vick

Vick's ego will not permit him to play anything else but quarterback. I don't see him being a 'special plays' type of guy. Maybe prison has humbled him somewhat but I doubt it. He'll probably come out of it with a worse attitude than when he went in.
