    Dirk Nowitzki

I enjoy your posts as well, j41181. I'm not super in-tune with the NBA, and you certainly help to clue me in to the white athletes worth watching. Keep up the good work!

    Philly fans BOO Eaton

I also found this extremely tasteless when I was watching on TV. I know he sucked, but it's not like Eaton was a locker room cancer, or a criminal or anything of the sort. He was a class act. He accepted several demotions, including some all the way down to single-A ball. He was awful with...

    Mitchell Bailey walk-on "fullback"

DraftDaddy is typically a pretty straight-shooting site, no bias. It seems they're one of the more "fair" scouting/draft sites.

Don, if you need any assistance doing the team-by-team breakdowns, I'd be more than happy to help.

Who are your favorite White actors?

Day-Lewis' portrayal of Bill the Butcher in Scorcese's Gangs of New York is one of my all-time favorite roles. He absolutely gives me goosebumps as the leader of the "Natives".

    CF Brett Gardner

Always good to see a white athlete succeed. Shortstop and center field have quickly become baseball's versions of "Caste positions", akin to RB, CB, etc. in the NFL. When players like Gardner get in, it shows that stereotypes certainly exist in baseball based on positions. Gardner is quite fast.

    2010 World Cup qualifying

Huge crowd on hand, from what I saw. Glad the US came away with a big win.

    Pittsburgh chases more diversity!

I've been living in central PA for eight months, and I still don't know that many Pirates fans (or at least that many that will admit it).

Caste Football: the only place where you can find two Pirates fans in the same place!

    Remembering Carolina WR Patrick Jeffers

Makes me wish I could remember a season like 1999. A terrible thing that most of these guys have been lost to history.

    Media Attitudes

I see what you mean Latspread, and I think more or less it comes down to that whites aren't being minimized in favor of blacks as they are in North American sports. If someone makes a terrific play in say, an NFL game, the announcers would, without fail, praise the athleticism of the player in...

    Curt Schilling retires!

Exactly what I was thinking too, Don. Schilling has a tremendous amount of interaction with the press, which I think ingratiated him with the likes of the Baseball Writers Association of America (the guys who vote for the HoF). I think the people who truly bring in to question his credentials...

    Curt Schilling retires!

By the raw, traditional numbers, Schilling is a borderline Hall of Famer, like 216 wins. However, Schilling really shined in the postseason, putting up some of the greatest fall numbers in history: 11-2 in postseason play, best ever, and three World Series rings. He has fewer wins than Tommy...

No problem, P-Nut. While you're posting a reply you'll notice an icon of the earth with a sort of paperclip-looking thing in front of it. Click on that and it will say: "Enter the on screen display text for the Hyperlink." Here, you'll type what you want people to see, such as "Don Frye vs...

    Media Attitudes

This doesn't surprise me, as rugby is a sport that relies less on freak athleticism and more on strategy and fundamentals. Of course, having blinding speed helps, but it does you no good if you can't pass or kick properly. Playing scrumhalf or flyhalf are probably some of the toughest...

I did notice that. Flynn keeps putting the ball into the hands of his hot shooters, completely unselfishly. Devendorf is on fire!

    Brodeur Sets Win Mark

Brodeur is one of my favorites, because he still keeps the net the "old-fashioned" way. Marty uses angles, and then just gets hit by the puck, with minimal movement. Having goalied a bit, I prefer this to the "butterfly" style, which seems to have rapidly proliferated. I don't have a deep...

    Free Agency 2009

The Eagles have signed black FB Leonard Weaver. LINK To his credit, Weaver looks pretty athletic at the fullback position from what I've seen. Eliminates a white starter from last year in FB/DT Dan Klecko. Hopefully Dan can move back to tackle where he was pretty productive.
