TONS of moves so far in the fist day, lots of updates!
- Albert Haynesworth has signed with the Washington Redskins for an astonishing seven years $100 million, with $41 million in guarantees. Holy cow! The Skins also re-signed CB DeAngelo Hall for six years, $54 million.
- RB Fred Taylor signed a contract with the New England Patriots. Not sure of monetary terms quite yet.
- The Bengals are apparently making a concerted effort to re-sign WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
- QB Sage Rosenfels has appaently agreed to a deal with the Minnesota Vikings. Rosenfels is expected to compete with Tavaris Jackson for the starting job. Rosenfels had moments of brilliance last season, b ut was wildly inconsistent.
- The 49ers are also reportedly working on a contract extension with former first overall pick, QB Alex Smith.

- Breaking: LB Bart Scott to the Jets on a multi-year deal.
- As mentioned in the Peyton Hillis thread Denver has apparently signed RBs JJ Arrington and Correll Buckhalter. Don't know much about Arrington, Buckhalter can be mildly productive when he's healthy.

Arrington is the scat-back type they needed to pair with Hillis. Dunno about Buckhalter, he never proved anything beside that he is injury-prone.

It'slooks very likelythat Jim Leonhard, Ravens safety, will also sign with the Jets.
Kerry Rhodes will be starting at one spot, so essentially Leonhard would be takingEric Smith's starting spot. Hopefully this doesnt happen, as Rhodes has never missed a start.
Other possible landing spots for Leonhard are rumored to be: Detriot, Cleveland, and New England.

LB Mike Vrabel has been traded from the New England Patriots to the Kansas City Chiefs for draft picks. Ex-Pats front office executive Scott Pioli has added a familiar face for some veteran leadership and solid play.

I wonder if the Chiefs plan on keepingLB Rocky Boiman, who played so well down the stretch for them last season. Boiman is a free agent; I don't know if Vrabel is being brought in to replace him. But then again if Boiman can get a starting job somewhere else, go for it.

Boiman has been jerked around by the Titans, Colts, and Chiefs.
It's really a shame to see Vrabel wear another uniform, but at least Piolishould take good care of him. Pats DT Mike Wright is also a FA. It would be great to see them add Cushing, James L, or Clay M with their first round pick to replace Vrabel.

From RotoWorld: Jaguars signed SS Sean Considine to a two-year, $3 million contract. The fourth-year pro lost his starting job to Quinton Mikell back in 2007 and never could regain it. He can be penciled in as the replacement for strong safety Gerald Sensabaugh, but the Jags may be taking a step down in talent. Edited by: Don Wassall
David Anderson has signed an offer sheet with Denver. Sounds like a good move for him as Anderson likely will never get many receptions in Houston behind Andre Johnson, Kevin Walter and Owen Daniels. But it likely also signals the end of Brandon Stokley with the Broncos.

Denver is over the limit for white skill players. And I am not joking; all the DWFs and media sees is race in sports. If Denver starts Hillis at tailback and uses both Anderson, Stokley and Scheffler in the receiving game along with blacks Marshall and Royal, the Luginbills and Jesse Jackson types will be thinking RACISM. And the DWFs will wonder if this is a parallel universe they've arrived in!
Saints resign Jonathan Vilma, no chance in regaining a snow patrol. I was hoping we would draft Laurenitis 
. Fans act like this is the greatest thing ever. He is solid but not a game changer and should not have been the Saints first priority to resign him, he can be easily replaced (dont tell Saints fans that, they think hes one of the best linebackers and more athletic than anybody we have in the linbacking corps haha). Its not like the defense got better once he was there. We lost because of lack of pass rush and poor cornerback play. Jeff Charleston a White player from Idaho St who was working at a copy shop or something like that on the west coast came in and outpeformed Will Smith (paid like a top 5 DE with like 3 sacks this year) at DE in limited playing time

OLB Scott Fujita is an ATHLETIC FREAK. Tell the DWFs on the message board you were on THE TRUTH; that Fujita has a Nate Robinson like 42 inch vertical. Also tested at the Combine with a 4.64 40; good for a top OLB prospect and had a great 4.21 short shuttle showing his agility as well as a 10'2 broad jump showing agility in the X-Z plane as well. He is close to the most athletic LB measurement wise in the entire NFL!Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

AJ Hawk is also very athletic. Let us not forget Tim Shaw. He ran a 4.4 forty last year. One of the most athletic Lb of the past 10 years was Andy Katzenmoyer.Edited by: whiteathlete33

Nobody has responded when i told of all his measurables this year and that HE was actually the most athletic linebacker we had, and the best one so far. I wonder what happens when the lone White scapegoats are gone and the defense is still doing poor? The Bills signed C Geoff Hangartnerfrom Carolina. They had only sumos at that position last year.
The talented Matt Cassel will be starting for the Chiefs, so it looks like another possible white star at the position. Tyler Thigpen may get an opportunity to start for another team in a year or two when he becomes a FA. Tom Brady must be recuperating well for the Patriots to have made that trade.

Yahoo sports says according to Boston Globe Patriots are talking to Mike Furrey. Patriots number 3 receiver Jabbar Gaffney is no longer on team so imagine Welker, Furrey and Moss as wide receivers with Brady back.

The Saints re-signed Jon Stinchcomb! GREAT move, as there was talk of the Saints signing some washed out sumo lineman. Stinchcomb is a solid player, who is WAY more consistent than jam. brown who jumps offside EVERY game!!
finally someone who agrees with me about Stinchcomb! I was excited to hear that we resigned him, nervous when there were talks about getting that sumo and not resigning stinchcomb, Saints might have had an all sumo line. I am wishing they would get rid of Brown for draft picks, Streif can replace him at LT. Or maybe Streif can play RT and Stinchcomb can play LT, you know he has displayed some excellent athleticism, so i think he could play it if they needed him too. He is very quick for a lineman and doesnt get beat in the passing game. For some reason everybody likes to blame Stinchcomb as the weak link along with Fujita, Shanle, and Brian Young. The weak link on the line was Brown who looks like his knees are shot and Goodwin at center. Brown is 27 but looks like hes getting in his late 30's, he just made the pro bowl which is a joke since fans started voting, usually if a player makes it, it is for something he did 2 seasons ago, but it gives the Saints an advantage, they should trade him while they still can. Brees is quick at getting the ball out so it makes the line look a little better than it actually is, and Brown is only going to decline. Brees isn't going to be able to get it out THAT quick. His false starts and holding penalties are getting up there. Espescially holding, thats a sign that he is getting beat more as time goes by.Edited by: dwid
Oh to be young, black, and a crappy wide receiver. Michael Clayton, who has scored all of two touchdowns during the past four seasons, was re-signed by Tampa to a 5 year $26 million contract, with $10.5 million of it guaranteed.
