The Willard vs Johnson title fight controversy

Thousand Oakie, We've exchanged a few emails over the years. Thanks for the expert info. He apparently confused Dempsey with Baer. I've read every major Dempsey biography and more articles than I can count and there was never anything about Jack Dempsey being "1/4 Jewish." It's about like this...

    Top 10 White Running Backs

No problem. I have to check the internet myself to be sure on these matters. I'm still old school about objectivity. Ernie Davis was the best choice that year and had great years in 1959 and 1960, on TV several times. In those days a player had to have made himself famous in previous seasons...

    Top 10 White Running Backs

Where did you get the idea that Ohio State's Bob Ferguson won the 1961 Heisman Trophy? It went to Syracuse's Ernie Davis, who was and is a famous winner. There's even a movie about him. There was no dispute that Davis was the best choice for the 1961 Heisman.

    NFL News, Rumors and Musings

"...and also had a very extroverted, pro wrestler type personality, which is why he always received a lot of media attention." A theory of mine is that the media prefers white players to have this persona. Some might call it playing the "free spirit," a term the media loves but actually is an...

    2020 NFL Week 11

Terry Bradshaw didn't become one of the best QBs in the league until 1975, his sixth year. The Steelers beat the Cowboys in Super Bowl X that year. Bradshaw threw what proved to be the winning TD in the game, despite being knocked out on the play by Larry Cole. The Cowboy defense held Franco...

Anti-White Agenda in Media Racial Classifications of Athletes

If George Zimmerman had been named Juan Gonzalez, we would have never heard of the incident. The MSM would not have covered it.

    The Trump Era Begins

In the polls Trump hasn't shown the strength with white voters he needs to in order to win. And not as well as in 2016. A month or so ago I saw somewhere that people are afraid to tell a pollster on the phone they are for Donald Trump.

Great players I watched when growing up

I saw White Ford on TV many times. Casey Stengel made a disastrous mistake in not starting White Ford in the 1960 World Series opening game, not using Ford until Game Three. Ford shut out the Pirates in both Games Three and Six.

    2020 NFL Week 4

Riggins should have known George Allen's offense would not work for him when he signed with the Redskins. Lucky for Riggins, Jack Pardee replaced Allen in 1978.

A long-standing problem for this site. To win converts, a positive stance is more likely to succeed.

    NFL News, Rumors and Musings

From Lance Rentzel's 1972 book: "The Cowboys had built a brand-new $30,000,000 stadium, partially domed. with the hardest artificial turf in all of football. What made it even worse was that it had rained all week, and the field retained the moisture so thoroughly that even a helicopter could...

    The Trump Era Begins

I've been afraid all along that swing voters would go for Biden in order to get "peace and quiet." The MSM had their "Biden Wins" headline written long before the "debate."

    The Trump Era Begins

Biden will have the moderators on his side 100 %. His handlers will have given him some cute phrases. If he can deliver them and doesn't fall apart, the MSM will unanimously declare Biden the winner. In the past Biden did fairly well in two VP debates and held his own with Bernie Sanders early...

Race is more than skin color!

I've said before I was an old-line SEC fan. I well remember the pre-1970's SEC. It was a matter of pride when my team, Tennessee, beat UCLA (who a few weeks later beat Michigan State in the Rose Bowl) in 1965 and Syracuse in the 1966 Gator Bowl.

George Soros: The Most Evil Man On Earth?

The current actions of George Soros more closely resemble someone born in 1985 rather than 1930. Soros has a son born in 1985. While its the elder Soros' money financing anti-cop DA candidates, its probably the younger one directing what happens.

Thanks for the correction. The Mets traded Tom Seaver in 1977 when he was still in the prime of his career.

    RIP Tom Seaver

Tom Seaver was the greatest pitcher of his era. Trading him to Cincinnati was a big mistake. Seaver had a longer time at his peak than most pitchers. Tom Seaver last played for the Mets in 1977 and is considered the greatest New York Met of all time.

    Caste Football, RIP

Don, I've been a member back to 2004. I appreciate your work. I've been long impressed by your knowledge of sports history, which per my title is a life-long avocation of mine. Yes, "the constant Jew (and black) bashing" doesn't do any good. Something like "because he is a Jew Sandy Koufax is...

    Jewish Privilege

A thoroughly stupid article by a writer, who by his own admission, wasn't alive when Koufax played. Furthermore, his theme was "Gibson was better than Koufax because of Dodger Stadium" In fact, from 1966 on Gibson pitched (and had by far his best years) in the new Busch Stadium which was as...
