Notice how he mentions that Mel Kiper had him as his #1 QB prospect, which is irrelevant, as a citation when saying he “fell” to the 5th round. Considering that Sanders had the worst QBR in the league, and a historically bad one even for a rookie, you would think that all the GMs were correct to peg him as a late round flier. But instead of mentioning these stats, he only says the team had a 3-4 record, which is supposed to impress the reader when comparing that to the team’s overall poor record. This lying by omission would lead an uninformed reader to think Sanders played well; the goal of the article of course.
