Long time Caste Football favorite Lindsey Vonn :meparto:is now 41 years old and after not being competitive in downhill racing for a decade and retiring in 2019, is now unretired and trying to win Olympic gold at the upcoming games in Milano Cortina, Italy. Since the Winter games are pretty much free of the World's Greatest Athletes, Vonn's quest is sure to be a media obsession.

However, Vonn had a dramatic fall during a practice run and injured a knee. She says she's still going to compete so guess what the main corporate media focus will be, whether she somehow wins, or much more likely, falls short. She craves attention and she'll get plenty of it. Maybe Tiger Woods will be watching from his convalescent home or wherever he is these days.

I used to watch a lot of both the Summer and Winter games but haven't lately but may watch some of these Games if the arctic freeze is still in place, and it looks like it will be. But I have a feeling the narratives and agenda will still be more than I can bear despite the overwhelming whiteness of the athletes. They start on February 6th on NBC.

Here's Lindsey's spill. I like this comment after the video: "I heard less drama in the voice of Herbert Morrison when the Hindenburg went up in flames."

Caught in the net like a floppy fish. I’ll pass on watching any of this. Never had interest in the Olympics and still don’t today.

I only watch for the Biathlon, hard for the announcers to get all drama girly when they cannot pronounce half the names.
