2024 College Football Previews

That time of year again. As always looking for volunteers. With the dissolution of the PAC 12 and re-alignment the conferences certainly look much stranger. Another step towards ruining the remaining few threads of integrity left in the sport (along with the transfer portal). I suppose that is a discussion for a different thread.

Just reply to this thread with any team(s) you would like to write-up. Best practice for the write-ups is to wait until at least early August to start and as the month goes on the depth chart movement becomes more settled with fall camps ongoing. Of course some of the smaller schools can be done earlier just because this is always a pretty big project that takes up our free time and it's a small group of us doing the research and doing the write-ups. Also, if you do volunteer please reference the previous year's write up to capture the White starter count as we use it as a metric to track White starters going back to 2005.

Thanks for volunteering! These teams are all yours my friend. The new look ACC is going to take some getting used to.

Conference realignment has taken a turn for the worse.. Beyond stupid. I'll let some new blood have their picks, I can chip in later on if needed!

I'll do Pitt, Penn State and WVU, possibly more if not enough volunteers are helping out.

Uh, so whoever has Michigan could you find out why super talented Cole Cabana is 5th on the RB depth chart? If this is true, he needs to get the H3%% out of Ann Arbor!!

I’ll take Notre Dame, Temple, and rutgers. More if needed

I’m hoping @Phall makes a triumphant return and can provide some insight as he is the resident expert on Michigan. Frankly, I feel that the Wolverines will have a down year - they lost their Qb, several key players on the o-line and some defensive players.

Cabana will hopefully get a chance to move up the depth chart. Right now all of the depth charts out there are just speculation in many cases.

Well, it looks like Iowa is going to be without one of the highly recruited white LB's for the time being. Ben Kueter a world amateur wrestling champion in HS, has decided to focus solely on wrestling for now. He's hoping to win an NCAA Team and individual Championship. Kueter was a 4-star recruit and one of the best athletes in his class. He was expected to replace one of the graduating LB's from last season, but that's on hold until next year now. He says he will return in the spring, but wrestling is such a grind, I'm not so sure. I hope he does.
Kueter must really love wrestling as there's really no financial future in it. He probably could have at least made an NFL squad if not been a regular starter in 3-4 years. Much respect to Kueter and his decision, but he will be sorely missed on the Iowa Hawkeye Football field.
I hope he comes back next season.
BTW, Kueter, a four-sport star was a part of the Iowa distance medley relay team for Iowa that took second place at The Drake Relays this past spring.

I have volunteered for 5 teams and I have UNC Tar Heels left. I will try and do more if I have time. I've been very busy with work and family lately. Moving one daughter back to school and another daughter getting married and have been helping my son with his first home purchase.
I should probably work on the rest of the ACC.

I will help, going to start with Louisville and Northwestern
