Really happy about this game - Manning didn't do much but the Broncos beat the panthers ( keuchly played very well). I think this was scams only chance at a super bowl

Glad for Peyton to go out on top. He should never play again, He was on fumes the last two drives. The media is hounding him, can you imagine if sCam's team won. For the next week, new face of the NFL, revolutionary player, the game has changed for the mobile smile brighten affeletic QB, and on and on. Glad that crap is shut down, thank God.

Oh well, better luck next time. Don't worry, there's black QBs in college coming up and they'll show 'em how its done...

Bad game for the professional race baiters, who assumed Newton was going to win.

Winning a second Super Bowl was huge for Peyton's legacy. Only having one was always held against him by the haters, and now he joins select company with his second.

This was the best of outcomes! CONGRATS to Peyton!
...and wasn't it great seeing sCam getting humiliated and seeing him commit those key turnovers I had hoped for??!!!
    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was it just me, or were the commercials much less degenerate than in recent years?

I thought the Super Bowl was next week until I checked in on Caste Football and found out it was already over.

Glad that Manning won, Kuechly played well and Newton played badly. A good outcome!

Make me wonder if Denver's WR's are part of the reason Manning is struggling. I think his production would've been better had Decker and Welker still been on the team.

Whenever you have a White player playing the same position as a black one on the same team, the black player seems to become super-motivated to produce because he doesn't want to be play "second fiddle" to some "White boy". Coaches, please take note and fill your squads with more "crackas" so your "real athletes" can play at their highest potential as well.

Scam and the whole spread option offense was exposed. Both defenses were pretty dominant and littered with very good white players. I wish Peyton had done more but I think it was obvious to everyone here that he had passed the pinnacle of his career. I hope he realizes that and walks off into the sunset a two time Super Bowl winner. He will be missed.

As for Scam - I hope all teams watch how the Broncos played him and basically proved his ineffectiveness. The template has been layed over the past few seasons but many teams have not caught onto it. Honestly - 3 turnovers in the super bowl - I hope everyone here uses that as ammunition against any scam supporter.

I agree, to the extent I watched them. This must have been one of those one step back years, before they move forward another two steps. . .

Manning was pretty much reduced to Sanders as his only good receiver. Thomas was a joke all through the post-season and during parts of the regular season. There was one game where he was targeted something like 14 times and had one catch and a handful of drops. Yet he's still pretty much criticism proof; Nantz said something about him not looking good during the game and motormouth Simms instantly came to his defense.

C'mon everyone - the biggest media hype job in Scam falls on his face and Clemson loses to a boring white QB. Pretty decent season for us!

I didn't plan to watch the "PooperBowl", but one of my sons wanted to. It was great seeing the overhyped quotaback being exposed on such a wide scale. Take away his speed & he's an average QB. Congrats to (future HOFer) Peyton.

I looked up Newton's stats and they were real bad.

He had a 43.9% completion percentage and a 55.4 quarterback rating. He also lost two fumbles and threw an interception.

When the game was big Newton came up small.

As for Lynch retiring - that just means teams will have more time to adjust to Wilson and the seahawks reliance on the passing game

A very telling play was when Scam got stripped near the goal line in the 4th quarter and instead of diving on it when he would have had to knock heads with a defensive player, he pulled back and let the Denver player have it, which gave the game to the Broncos. No leadership, no toughness. Just a totally weak, bitch move. If a White QB had done that we would never hear the end of it. I wonder if we'll hear any more about that play or if it will go down the memory hole.

All you hear about sCam is he is a big strong qb yet he gets scared of diving on top of the ball. Bitch move.

Absolutely true. Just as with Demaryius Thomas's pathetic play, Nantz twice noted how Newton pulled back, giving Phyllis Simms a slam dunk opportunity to criticize Newton, but of course he wouldn't, giving mumbling, nonsensical explanations. You're right that if a White QB had done that at such a critical point of a Super Bowl it would be a career defining play that would be mentioned over and over for the rest of his career and beyond.

Today Thomas looked extraordinarily poor and clumsy too. He tripped himself up a few times running simple routes. The MSM was making a big deal recently about Momma Thomas being released from the pokey (can you even call a women's prison that?). Maybe the added pressure of having her around got to him. Having a jobless, most likely helpless and dependent felon around could be a huge burden.

I think we heard the story about Thomas' drug dealing mom being let out (part of Obama's efforts to release thousands of black felons onto the streets with early pardons) about a gazillion times on ESPN. It was portrayed as a sob story, of course.

He also signed a massive contract 2 years ago. I'm not surprised to see him turn into a mediocre receiver. The two good years he had were largely due to Manning still being in top form, plus having Decker and Welker.
