Room Brightening Smiles

Just experienced a double dose on HBO Boxing tonight.

Announcer Bob Papa described black Puerto Rican Thomas Dulorme as having "a smile that can light up a room."

Then, about 20 minutes later, Papa noted Dulorme's "one thousand watt smile."

Still waiting to hear of the first white athlete (or even non-black athlete) who has a "room brightening smile."

Shockingly, in 2010 golfer Matt Kuchar was described as having a smile that "lit up Augusta National" golf course. See post #19 in this thread. Who knows how that one slipped through the filters of the CM media.

BTW, there's an earlier, companion thread to this one, called "Another Smiling Negro" that makes for entertaining reading:

My all-time favorite quote on this topic remains this description of Tiki Barber in Sports Illustrated by one Karl Greenfeld, who deserves first ballot election if a Pandering to Blacks Hall of Fame is ever established:

"In profile, against the orange sun setting into the smog over the industrial badlands of northern New Jersey, Barber's facial structure is so defined that you imagine you know what he will look like in a thousand years, long after the flesh has decomposed and he is only bone. His face is all sharp angles and perfect planes. His broad smile bares gleaming white, evenly arrayed teeth, an extra helping of perfection after the symmetry of his features."

We don't need a smile to light up a room because we invented electricity.

You sure lonsman Greenfeld didn't write this limp-wristed praise in some s0d0mite publication? :tsk:

I think the frequent statements that blacks have "room brightening smiles' are part of a program to persuade white women to be with black males instead of white men. It gives the image of black males as being friendly and non-threatening.

Almost every commercial or show has a white female / black male pairing in it nowadays. If you'll notice the white female and black male always have big smiles on their faces.

Conversely, white men are portrayed as omega males that are unattractive to white women.

The anti-whites want white women to have children with black males instead of white men.

The fact that so many sports media people engage in this unmanly, unnatural fawning over black males shows that it's an organized strategy. Some media people want to advance their careers so they get with the program.

Two days ago I watched a Polish news bulletin which contained a gushing segment about Sloane Stephens' "heroics" at the Australian Open. Guess what was mentioned? Her "beautiful" smile...

That piano-toothed gob would make an ideal target for use in the shooting accuracy event of the NHL All-Stars Skills Competition. Say cheese...

"Sloane" is a rather strange moniker to give a girl. At least her parents didn't name her N'Keesha or something to that ebonic effect...

Every time I hear that name (which is way too often at the moment...) I am reminded of the old TV series A Man Called Sloane:

It's been a while but we have another reference. Watching the undercard of Pacquiao-Rios and they have a mulatto Puerto Rican fighter named Felix Verdejo. Larry Merchant is announcing with another guy and a woman. They were talking about Verdejo being the successor to Cotto and the next great PR boxer. They were going over the pros and cons and Merchant noted that Verdejo is more charismatic than Cotto with "his great smile."

I love to bump an old favorite thread. I think it might be the one that brought me here. Fifth paragraph: "Griffin and his mega-watt smile galvanized the fan base".

The rest of it is notable for its predictability. "They" ruined RG3, donchaknow. I didn't think we were supposed to even talk about "them", but maybe it means somebody else.

The title of the piece is "How They Broke RG3."

Notice how it's never the negro's fault, it's always someone else's fault.

The liberals endlessly make excuses for negroes. It's never their fault.

This article right here shows how liberals think about blacks. They are stupid to make important decisions for themselves. They compared him to a child saying "somebody needed to be the adult." The only difference is that they think blacks should get tons of preferential treatment because of low iq. The way we that blacks and what we expect of them now hasn't been working.

It's "RG Flea" who 'broke' himself...because he doesn't have what it takes (intelligence, discipline & humility).

Black Television: when was the last we saw with us what is common with blacks when they have an audience?

This is so goddamn funny, they're language is so slurred and bad even the interviewer, who is a slurring sloppy blabber talker, couldn't comprehend what the skinny scarecrow was babbling about.

The whole idea is that their smile implies morality, it does not it implies a lack of seriousness and frivolousness that being said Griffin sucked, he was noodle armed and inaccurate, ina college system with screens and short passes against horrible defenses that works but in the NFL after they stepped up to take that away he showed his primary weaknesses, ZERO TOOLS, and lacked the mental and physical traits needed to be an NFL QB, I never saw anything out of him that made sense except a pass to Chris Cooley lol. Bare bones the guy was not Brett Farve so why bring a guy with a high IQ specifically football IQ great instincts, tough and cannon arm who was accurate into the equation? 35-40 td under 10 int seasons in a bit better defensive era because of rules Griffin was never going to sniff that...and farve could run better too Ohh the blasphemy. Amazing the media didn't flock to Mcnair as much from what I remember and he was BETTER! lol Oh Steve wasn't acting a fool either I guess if you are bad you to really suck for the media to lie for you

Getting ready to watch the Gervonta Davis fight card and Paulie Malignaggi informs us that along with all his talent Davis has a "million dollar smile that lights up the room."

This has to qualify as a room brightener:

While day one focused mostly on the players getting acclimated to their new home for the next few weeks, day two was all about business. The current Steelers welcomed legends of the past to St. Vincent’s College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania when Merril Hoge showed up to introduce the 2019 class for the Hall of Honor. This gave the young team a chance to impress those who wore the black and gold before them. Rookie running back Benny Snell flashed his giant smile when asked about interacting with the fans at camp.

Riding home today a radio news report played a clip from the funeral of black racist Rep. Elijah Cummings. A white sounding guy was eulogizing him and said Cummings "had a smile that engulfed his entire face." No doubt true if you have ever seen the now deceased goblin.

Still waiting to hear my first "room brightening smile" about a white (or even non-black) man.

Well, it is the closest I have come to ever witnessing it.

This morning on Fox & Friends, a white CEO who gives homes to wounded vets said that when a particular vet saw his house, "his smile lit up the room." The vet was white. Not an athlete or a sports reporter involved, but I can now at least finally say I have seen a non-black described as having a room brightening smile.

The saint of the room brightening smile while having a drug and alcohol addiction Leon Spinks died about a week ago.

His smile was famous for his missing front teeth and ear to ear grin after beating the aged and infirm Ali for the heavyweight title. After this win he became a national running joke for various arrests and citations for various minor to significant crimes leading up to the rematch with Ali and beyond the title fight. He was forever on the comeback trail it seemed in the early to mid 80's. https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_...-heavyweight-champ-upset-muhammad-ali-dies-67

I found this was too funny, hi Kettle your too black said Mr. Pot...

PS, I found this piece on one of his comeback fights and it about sums up what I wrote about...

this post belongs equally well in multiple locations , but i think bumping this classic thread will serve.

Basketball American? Upside American? Scholar? eternal Good Boy? not sure how to describe him best … shot to death as hordes of “teens” swarmed area on Halloween night, just days before his first college hoops game.

non-intentional self-parody quote from the story:

“He was a great kid, smart, smart student, he had a smile that would just brighten up any room when he would open his mouth, so we lost a really, really good one today…”
