    Steve Nash

I agree, j41181. Loved Steve Kerr as a player, but he has made one bad move after another as GM. Steve Nash is as pure a point guard as you will see and (as someone who has played the position in HS and as a walk on in college) he is a joy to watch.

Should I root for another team?

Why not? Why would someone change the team they root for, simply because someone they may disagree with is a fan? Do you really think you would agree with and like every other fan of any team you root for?

    Now, there’s a thug

Randolph was suspended for two games, which is barely a slap on the wrist. Mike Wilbon of PTI called him a "punk" and said he should have been suspended for a minimum of ten games.

    Brad Van Pelt

Former Giant linebacker Brad Van Pelt passed away at the age of 57. Even before they drafted Lawrence Taylor, the Giants were known for their excellent linebacker corps and Van Pelt was a big part of that in the late 70's early 80'...

    John Stockton

I agree. This year's class with Jordan, Stockton and Robinson is too tough to crack. Mullin did have a drinking problem early in his career but when he cleaned up, he had an all around sweet game to watch (good points, SoberWF and thanks for the link)

    John Stockton

I think Robinson is also a lock. Would love to see Mullin get in....he was one of the best pure shooters the NBA ever saw, but was also an unselfish team player who did everything in the flow of the game rather than just jacking up shots to increaes his average.

    Current White Champions in Boxing

Wow. Had no idea there were that many. Even with the additional weight classes and various belts within those classes, vs. other eras in boxing, that is a pretty impressive list.

    Steve Nash

I agree that Duhon is a solid player and it would make sense to build the tema around him and Lee, was just pointing out that Nash was a very god player BEFORE he joined the Suns and D'Antoni is still an excellent point guard.

    Morrison traded

If Morrison becomes as good as Van Horn, that will be a huge step up at this point. Here's hoping this trade will jump start his career.

    Steve Nash

Then why isn't Chris Duhon an all star?

    Nick Calathes - White Magic

    I agree completely.

    Nick Calathes - White Magic

Barry might be slightly more athletic (or at least was when he was younger) but Calathes is a far superior passer and could play the point.

    WTF? Love's struggles affecting Hanbrough

I would say that Larry Bird was even more dominant in college than Pistol Pete or Hansrough, since he got to the NCAA finals with a bunch of average, at best, team mates. Hansbrough is on a great team and Pistol Pete, for all his individual brillance never had team sucess in college. I...

    Ricky Hatton

Hatton clearly lost the Mayweather fight. I do not think anyone is disputing that, but he certainly did land some clean punches and was competitive in the fight for the first 5 rounds or so. In fact, he almost knocked Mayweather down with a hook in the first round. Not sure if it would be...

    Roy Jones vs. Joe Calzaghe

I agree completely with Bart's analysis of the fight and did notice how Kellerman went from saying that Joe was like a washed up Trinidad, to making excuses for Jones, once the tide turned. If they fought when both were in their prime, there is little reason to think that Calzaghe would not...

    Roy Jones vs. Joe Calzaghe

This was a masterful performance by Calzaghe and overall, a very good fight. Unlike Hopkins, Jones made every attempt to win the fight instead of just trying to survive and I think that is why there was mutual respect between the two after the fight. Not much left for Joe to prove and if he...

Pavlik - Hopkins on 10/18/08 per Bob Arum

Pavlik beat Jermain Taylor twice and I would guess that a lot of his fights in the amateurs and professional ranks have been against black fighters, all of which he won. Pavlik's problem was NOT that Hopkins was black, but that he was not equipped to move up in weight and deal with a crafty...

Pavlik - Hopkins on 10/18/08 per Bob Arum

Good points, Maple Leaf. Unlike Calzaghe, Pavlik had no "B" plan. Whiteathlete33 is also spot on about the difference in hand speed between Joe C. and Pavlik. Like all on this site, I was obviously disappointed in this result, but agree that Kelly will be able to rebound from this defeat...

Pavlik - Hopkins on 10/18/08 per Bob Arum

I hope I am wrong, but I do not think Pavlik will knock out Hopkins. Hopkins has always been a great defensive fighter with a solid chin and as he has aged, he has become more cautious and defensive minded. Also, while Kelly is a devasting puncher at 160, moving up in weight 10 pounds will have...

    White Olympic Team

I agree that the Celtics of the 80's with Bird, McHale, Ainge....not to mention Bill Walton and Scott Wedman would have been able to beat any combination of the teams above. They would also have the advantage of having played together as a team for some time (much like many of the other...

    ’Mad Men’

I agree. Mad Men is an excellent show. Smart, funny and very well acted.
