pretty sad when your own sports federation works against you.
yep. Zoe Hobbs will never be the world's fastest woman but I'm really glad to have witnessed her as a sprinter. The NZ record was 11.32 from 1993 and Zoe's now done 4 sub 11s and an 11.00 to drag it up from the stone age.pretty sad when your own sports federation works against you.
I see Simon Wulff of Germany ran a 10.14 to win the B race in Italy today. I was looking up the stats on this guy. He has a PB of 10.06 and stands 6'-7" and weighs 235 lbs. He's a bobsledder on their Olympic team. Damn, he'd make one hell of tight end in the NFL.

how intriguing - so I researched him a little. A German bobsledder - the team are world and Olympic champions and Simon shattered the long-standing start time record. I'd say he gets quite some support financiallyI see Simon Wulff of Germany ran a 10.14 to win the B race in Italy today. I was looking up the stats on this guy. Yup, the dude won, Jaeger second. Klaver leading off the final bend but looked she was running in mud on the home stretch, perhaps because she's a mudshark.at the World Athletics Ultimate Championships I think Bol will beat Werro with Keely coming in third. Jaeger will come in second in the 400m to Paulino(elevated Testosterone).
Even though I was supporting Amy Hunt in the Commonwealth final, I was happy for Zoe Hobbs. Running a world class PB of 10.93 in a big final when it matters most is fantastic.yep. Gorgeous lady and not one ounce a show off.
He had the same time Simbine had in the other semi to make a 4th and get to the final. It's so crowded near the top now that 1/100th makes a difference. Anyhow, after 6 months of competing he gets to recover now for a month or soLachlan Kennedy missed the finals because he had the 2nd worst reaction time in his semifinal heat. That's rare for him but he still ran a time of 10.05 -0.2 wind. If he has his usual fast reaction tme he is in the finals. I think he was saving a little for the final but it didn't work out. Feel sad for him as this is similar to the world champs or olympics as the best sprinters were there. It's a learning experience though and I would
rather have him mess up today than in the next 2 years. We have the world champs in 2027 and the olympics in 2028. He will be ready!
Congrats to the young man for having the best season for a white sprinter since Lemaitre had that great year a long time ago. Lachie went
sub 10 five times this year!

yes, he won't race but I assume he'll still be following a program by early November. I may be wrong but they start getting ready for the next season quite a while before christmas.Lachlan Kennedy needs way more than a month off. Skip the whole indoor season. He shouldn't race again until February in my opinion. His body needs alot of rest. He will have plenty of time to get back in shape but give the man 3 or 4 months off. Maybe in the final month he can start some light training and then go back to his routine training schedule. He is too talented to have a career ending injury due to fatigue!
young 20 y.o. Charlotte Henrich isn't physically imposing but a 49 split is terrific - great cadence and speed endurance. Her 50.40 this year is closing on on sub 50 for next year. She may be a Sally Gunnell type personality. Sally was never easy to beat. Not really the best results on the track from these championships. Warholm back in 3rd in the 400mH: at the wrong side of 30, maybe optimistic to see him beating Dos Santos and Benjamin in future. Amy Hunt in 4th in the 200m, and she didn't really come through on the back straight like I hoped. It seems her ceiling might be 22 seconds, which isn't going to win a worlds or olympics. See how she comes back next year after a good long break and block of winter training.
Good legs from the youngsters Jonas Phijffers of Netherlands and Charlotte Henrich of Great Britain in the mixed 400 relay: the latter is only 20, and stormed round the anchor leg to go from 4th to 2nd.
Field events and longer distances were better: greats like Tentoglou, Duplantis, Tamberi and Ingebrigtsen with big wins, and Josh Kerr is becoming a major star.

I find her running style is actually very pleasing to watch. Luxemberg is tiny but she'll always have the Swiss, Dutch and Germans to race with not very far from home.one sprinter (who runs clean) needs to re-evaluate their training, schedule and amount of races competed each year is van der Weken of Luxembourg. She has the perfect physique for a female sprinter, strong, long legs, good turn over and excellent high knees but cant seem to go sub 11. I think she may be running tired most nights.
