2025 Track Results

Simon Verherstraeten also ran in Kennedy’s race coming in 5th with a time of 10.26. Although a rather pedestrian time, if you look at his results from last year he will run a few 10.2x’s and then start peaking. He ended the season last year as one of the fastest white men with a 10.06. Will have to watch him over the next couple months and see if he is able to peak and get down towards 10 flat. He’s a guy to at least keep on the radar.

Another name to keep on the radar is Polish sprinter Oliwer Wdowik. Only 23 years old with a PB of 10.23 from last year. Looks like he opened up this year with a good time of 10.29 +0.2 on May 23rd. He should be able to easily smash his PB this summer.

Victoria Cameron wins her quarter final heat at the NCAA West Regionals, with a time of 11.01 (0.2w).
It was the 2nd fastest qualifying time (fastest was 11.00), and she beat 4 girls from USC in her heat.
She should be good for a sub-11 time, very soon; and she is looking like a strong medal contender.
You can see Victoria's race starting at the 8 minute mark of this video. What's really impressive is that she didn't have her usual bullet start, but still managed to run down some of the fastest collegiate sprinters in the country. Another great performance from her.

Asian Championships are happening in Korea.
Yanagita of Japan, nipped Boonson of Thailand, to take the 100 meters title.
Both clocked 10.19 (0.6w).
Just following up on these Asian Championships....

In the Men's 200m, Japan's Towa Uzawa set a Championship Record, winning in 20.12. He is 22 years old.

On the Women's side, the winner was 16 year old (!), Chen Yujie, from China. Her time was 22.97.

Outstanding times from both of these young sprinters!

When I watched the Asian Games women's 100m final there was a man competing in the women race. There is no way that person is female. They lost badly but even so men should not be in the women's race. Winner in 11.37(high school times).

Man I was watching the introductions and thinking “ok they all look pretty female to me” and then BAM the guy runs out. 6 feet tall, broad shoulders, military haircut. Doesn’t even resemble a woman!

I guess I should say he/she looked the same size as the other ladies when you actually watch the race, but very manly in the introductions.

Disgusting that this trend is now infecting Asia too. These people are sick. No men in womens sports.

Oliwer Wdowik ran a 10.21 -0.9 wind on June 2nd. This corrects with the wind calculator down to a 10.13! This young man is looking good!

Konstantin Krylov ran a 10.16 on May 28th. The wind was +2.1 but still not bad to start the season. It was at the Russian team championships. He ran a 10.49 in the heats earlier so I’m guessing he was way out in front and just shut it down early to conserve for the finals. He should be able to get under 10.1 this year easily and hopefully down towards a 10 flat.

Filippo Tortu is entered in the 100 meters at the Golden Gala in Italy. I'm shocked by this as he 95 percent of the time runs the 200. Not expecting much but maybe he suprises us. He did go sub 10 wind legal around 5 or 6 years ago. Seems like forever ago.

Men’s 400 Metres:

Olympic gold medallist Quincy Hall will race against Kirani James and Zakhiti Nene (WL 43.76), plus European medallists Alexander Doom and Charles Dobson in a potential sub-44 showdown.

What happened to Håvard Bentdal Ingvaldsen?

Yes, I like Doom's name. "Mr. Doom, do you expect me to talk?" "No Meester Bond, I eexpect you to die."

Ingavaldsen just ran the 300m yesterday, in a pretty big meet in Norway.
He came in 5th, against solid, but not exceptional, competition.
I would have expected him to win that race.

White Argentinian Tomas Villega is only 21 and had a huge PB on March 29th of 10.21 +1.3. Since then it looks like he’s run a couple of races in the 10.3 range. One to keep on the radar. I believe this is him:

Heiko Gussman of Germany ended his indoor season with a new PB of 6.57 in the 60m. He ran a new 100m PB of 10.28 +0.6 on May 24th. Another one to watch as the summer season goes into full swing.

I enjoyed the video alot but would not have put Klaver in the video. My daughters all have that same ice blue crystal eyes and blonde hair like the little girl at the end of the video...

Anej Čurin Prapotnik from Slovenia is 22 years old now and just ran a new PB of 10.23 +1.6. Not a blazing time and it’s only 1/100th better than his previous best but it is progress nevertheless. He is sitting 4th on the all time list for Slovenia with the number 1 still being the fairly well known sprinter Matic Osovnikar.

I saw that yesterday when glancing at the top lists. I have a autographed card of Matic Osovnikar. Yes Prapotnik looks to be coming along really nice so far. He should dip down to around 10.15 wind legal this summer I believe.

Or "Omomatic" as we sometimes knew him lol

Charlie Dobson is just a guy that has that natural speed most guys can only dream about. He is a pleasure to watch run!

Liam Adcock making a name for himself taking down some legends in the process. Team Australia is looking better all the time!

I'm very happy with Filippo Tortu's time. To run a 10.19 wind legal under pressure in an event he gave up years ago. The potential has always been there but he was talked into only running the 200 meters and 4 x 100 Relay. I hope this changes his mind a little. It's not about finishing 7th but a great time of a base to build on if he chooses to run the 100 meters again in addition to his other events.
