2025 NFL Draft

After St. Brown and Williams the Lions don't have a lot at WR. And Williams is a bonehead type who's likely to be suspended again, or arrested, or screw up somehow. I like the landing spot.
Hoping the Lions end up with Chaz Chambliss and Lan Larison tomorrow - they have both been connected to Detroit. Agree about TeSlaa - should serve as a deep threat.

The Texas defensive front has had 2 players drafted already. Skattebo rushed for 143 yards in a playoff game against that very same front. I'm not sure how anyone can argue his skillset won't translate, outside of Jeanty he was the most complete back in the country last year. I sincerely didn't expect him to fall this far.

It really is absurd. His game against Texas was one of the best performances I have ever seen. Not to mention the rest of his season. Really hope some team picks him up tonight. None of the guys I listed earlier have been drafted and all SHOULD be gone by the end of round 3.

I know it's been this way every year for the past few decades, but there seems to be a record number of bland, generic defensive b(l)acks being drafted this year.

Browns select the undersized poly QB. Idiots.
A literal apology to the woke mob for taking whiteys with their first two picks, just like how the Packers went black after winning the Super Bowl with the whitest team and then getting targeted by Rachel Madcow for raycissms.

Liberal/neocon corporate stuffed shirt executives exist in sheer terror of the woke mob as Louis XVI was in terror of Robespierre and his guillotine.

Note: I was going to say "live in sheer terror of the woke mob," but I replaced it with "exist." They aren't really living, they just exist.

This draft is indistinguishable from all the ones of the past decade or more. As Don noted, there is always a run of defensive backs who are quickly forgotten after a large number of them bust, to be replaced the following year with more future busts. Rinse and repeat. The sumo explosion is really amazing. White offensive linemen are rapidly being replaced. Cam Skatebo not being drafted is no surprise. If he winds up on a team where he has a fair chance at a real offensive role, I'll be astonished.

But this draft has been made tolerable by the inexplicable fall of Shedeur Sanders. To go from the first or second pick in the draft to being no better than the sixth QB drafted is something none of us could have predicted. The meltdown on ESPN will be entertaining. Even I question Sanders falling behind Milroe and Gabriel. His interviews must have really been something. Maybe Deion will finally be humbled. I appreciate all the informative posts here. It makes it much easier to research my book.

That was a pathetic round even for the NFL.

I do think Dillon, Jackson and Taylor will each be regarded as White by DWFs. Not much consolation but I'm looking for any small silver linings.

Buffalo with a black defensive tackle…

They need a better defense but still, guarantee there are better white linemen.

there is a lot of merit to that notion.

They have dominant white genes, clearly, in that most would assume fully white without knowing better.

From a purely talent/production perspective, Shedeur along with McCord should be off the board. Both are clearly better prospects than Milroe and Gabriel, neither of whom have a real chance of ever starting in the NFL. The Gabriel pick in particular feels like the equivalent of spending a day 2 pick on a slightly more polished Brett Rypien.

At this stage, he might actually go undrafted. It sounds crazy to say, but everyone who could possibly want him has passed multiple times. What could change in the next 4 rounds? Seems unlikely that any team is gonna take a flier on him as a backup.
