The thing is every time someone gets a low score, they claim dyslexia.
Tim Tebow got a 22 and they treated him like he was a moron, even though he is known to have dyslexia.
you forgot the excuse that they don't care about some "racist" test that has nothing to do with football. Yes the questions aren't football related, but they assess your ability to figure out questions in a short period of time (which adds stress). That relates to the quarterback position, they have to process information quickly, and other positions as well. Defensive linemen aren't listed because they are probably the lowest. Block the guy in front of you, try to block two or get through. Offensive linemen, especially center have to make all the calls and be on the same page as the qb. They have to react to stunts and extra men coming through, who to block? with man blocking schemes they are paired with a defender based on certain rules, if the defense blitzes or stunts then the rules for the same play change. I remember reading the Michael Oher book (christmas gift from inlaws) where Oher would be confused going over the playbook like "well what if so and so isn't there and its another guy coming from a different spot" (btw they have to teach him with ketchup and mustard bottles rather than a playbook, at least at Ole Miss, they used chairs in high school)
This could be the reason for the rise in the zone blocking scheme with more affletes, but even that takes intelligence, quick thinking, the entire line has to be on the same page, and is best suited for White linemen who are a little bit smaller and quicker, since it is based on angles as well as strength, and 330+ pound guys generally aren't quick enough. The whole line has to work in unison, basically have to quickly react to what is in front of them and what the other linemen are doing. This is why we see few teams use the zbs full time, usually a mixture, it takes time to master (many lines can't master the concepts and run it full time). Many times I see affletic linemen blocking nobody looking confused, regardless of scheme. This might be the reason for the downfall of the Texans, more sumos, more pressure on the qb, more picks. Running game isn't as good.
Also takes intelligence (although nearly not as much as the line) and vision by the back to find the cutback lane and hit it. Arian Foster when healthy could do it, Alfred Morris can do it. Ben Tate struggles a bit. White backs in college like Weissman don't have a problem. Darren McFadden when healthy looked pitiful when they switched to a zbs, so they went back to a man blocking scheme, irrelevant now because he is injured now...again. Another reason why 40 speed is irrelevant, Foster and Morris both run in the 4.7 range while Tate ran in the 4.4, and McFadden even faster. Tate in the zbs looks more like a power back/thumper because he isn't finding the holes that well.
I think this is why White guys excel at pass blocking (besides strength and technique), if they have more than one guy blitzing they have to pick up the right man in order to allow their qb the most time to throw, quickly reacting to where the defender is coming from, what space the qb has to step up into and deciding in a split second on who to block.
Wonderlic scores get leaked, but if they are really low some how they get changed, like Young's 6 turning into a 16. As smart as RG3 is supposed to be, i believe he scored a 23, and he isn't dyslexic.
