Can't argue with that decision.

Call me crazy, but I have Fury by KO! He is much younger and fresher!

If Wlad was going to lose, Fury's not a bad guy to lose to. I can get behind Fury in future fights. He can draw good sized crowds in Europe.

Good run by Wlad but time to retire. Maybe now Wilder will find his balls and fight Povetkin soon with plans for Fury later. I don't think Wilder gets past Povetkin.

I remember when I saw Fury KO Cunningham in 2013, that was when I knew Fury was something special and is probably the most confident boxer I'd seen in years. His performance in that fight was remarkable and he had another remarkable win tonight.

Wladimir has been an amazing champion, and he courageously won the last round tonight. But he has finally looked his age and in my opinion should gracefully retire. He's won it all and done it all, and at age 39, this is a young man's sport.

I predicted a Wlad decision win but if you read my comments before the fight I also suggested there was a very real possibility that Fury beats Wlad. So I am not surprised by the result. His size and speed gave Wlad a lot of problems. It may have been a different fight if Wlad was younger.

Congratulations to a new champion, Tyson Fury. All the confidence in the world, and his size will give anyone at heavyweight a tough fight.

Thanks to a great older champion, Wlad, and it finally looks like this is the end of the road.

Tyson Fury talked a big game, but he also walked a big game.

Sometimes when a guy talks a lot of crap, its simply because he is completely confident and can back it all up. Fury did just that.

Hats off to him for having the confidence to follow through on his words. I knew he would. I wasnt sure that he would win, but I was sure he was going in there with the mindset to win and give his all.

The fight will start in approx 10 mins. I believe that Fury is more like 607, not the 609 that is reported. He looks the same height as Wlad. This should be interesting. If Fury exhibits and maintains good movement, it could the long and disastrous night for Wlad. Two big Ifs.

Good call Westside. Klitschko just looked so old so suddenly, and Fury had just the talent and style to take advantage.

It was definitely the right decision. Wlad doesn't even look like he's lost it physically. He just isn't aggressive in his last few fights like he used to be. He doesn't let his hands go like he used to. He hurt Fury and few times when he actually threw big punches. But he clinches way too much now. It's lime he's scared to get hit. And Fury is not even that big a puncher, though he's a very good boxer. Wlad was so apprehensive, it was like he was scared of getting knocked out'

All the credit goes to Fury though. He is a really good fighter, and we still have a White champion!

Not to take anything away from Fury, but Wlad fought a terrible fight. I always said that the only fighter that could beat Klitschko is a tall fighter with good speed. Wlad did almost nothing the entire fight. Why wasn't he throwing punches? Where Furys feints the problem? I just don't get it.

I couldn't disagree more. Horrible decision. Fury did not do enough to win. You have to dominate a champion. Any close fight always goes to the champion. He never hurt Wlad and he did alot of under the table tactics. This decision was wrong.

A lot of this was Vlad getting old, pure and simple. Long time posters here were noting that he was slowing down a few years ago.

I'm sure Vlad saw openings that he would have blasted a right cross or hook through back in the day, but he's damn near forty.

I'm just glad he didn't get knocked out.

He needs to retire and maybe have a beer with Peyton Manning.

So there was a boxing match today? Oh only the heavyweight championship of the world? I actually did forget about the time zone difference. Unfortunately the MSM did not remind me, they were too busy hyping a fictional boxing match by a magical yoof in Rocky 7 or reminding me about the "many looks of Kate Upton". None of my fellow drunk white friends reminded me about it either, unlike the constant reminders of a 130 something pound slap and dance fighter, who was not nearly as boring as a white mans 11 year run with the title.

I didnt think Fury had a chance, either Vlad got Payton Manning old real fast or the fix was on.

Wlad had a historic run. I hope you retires. Nothing to prove. I hope they force Wilder to finally man up and face Potvekin. Would love to see Potvekin face Fury.

He could win a rematch with Fury if he just fights with some fire, like he's a young up and comer instead of an old champion. He is still a great physical specimen with a hard jab, left hook and straight right. It would be much better to see him win the title back and go out a champion, like Vitali did, instead of like this.

I figured this fight would go 12, but to get a decision in Germany? Wow! Just tuned in to find out about an hour ago and was surprised Fury's work was rewarded! We've been saying all along Fury can box -just watch his videos.

In my view you're spot on. Wlad just doesn't want to take any chances of getting hit. He wouldn't even bang with light hitting Jennings in his last fight. Wlad probably didn't sparr that much either. He has his money and he has his marbles and he wants to keep both so he just won't fight risking taking hard shots any more.

After today it seems "anything can happen" so my bet is Wilder faces Potemkin (and loses to that battleship).

Since Emanuel Stewart died Wlad hasn't been adding to his skills repertoire and his corner has been really basic unlike Stewart who was top notch help.

Has a Heavyweight Boxing Title ever changed hands with the "victor" doing less damage to the "loser?" Seriously, I've never seen such a lame offensive performance in a HW bout. Fury did next to nothing...head-butting to create cuts on Wlad's head, incessant rabbit punching, weak jabs, and a small handful of feeble "power" shots that landed and did no harm. To Fury's defense, it's hard to land on a guy when he's fighting the way Wlad did.

The classless, annoying, taunting, low class Wigger/Pikey is just fortunate that Wlad had no fire whatsoever. For a few fleeting moments in Rounds 9 and 11, Wlad looked somewhat aggressive, but that's it. For god's sake, he didn't even let his hands fly with nothing to lose in the 12th.

If Wlad gets his head on straight for one last fight, he could annihilate Fury. Even if this is WK's final bout, he'll go down as the most dominant HW of all time.

I'm one of the few to agree with you. Tyson Fury did not deserve to win that fight. It was a boring fight with little action on either side. Despite this, Wlad is the champ and deserved to remain the champ. Also he hurt Fury twice while he was never hurt. Tyson Fury also was fighting dirty according to many boxing fans. I agree with what I saw. What a way to end the greatest heavyweight career of all time. The critics will have a field day. Hope he fights once more and regains the title.

I didn't see any of the fight but I imagine it was about the same type of fight Klitschko has fought the last few years, lots of jabs, clutching grabbing, a few punches. Pretty boring stuff. I like that he has been a long time champ but he has not been exciting for a while. I thought he fought that way so he could extend his career and it did.

Still I find it odd that a challenger to a long time heavy weight champ could win a UD decision with no knockdowns and not much damage inflicted to the champ (from what I hear). But my feelings are that boxing is just a criminal racket and everything and anything can be fixed. So I would guess one of the following is the reason for the Fury win.

1) the fight game wants to get rid of Klitschko because he's old and boring and non-existent in the US market.

2) Klitschko wants another big payday and the only way to generate interest in his fights is with a rematch

3) Fury is going to get beat by other guys, probably some black guys and that is one thing that fight promoters would like to see, it would help sell boxing in the US which continues to worship black athletes

Any of these scenarios could be okay with Klitschko as it could include financial incentives and he may be tired of the game anyway. I doubt that he is going to retire though. Even the smartest fighters hang on too long, where else can you earn millions of dollars for a couple of hours work?

A positive is of course that another White heavyweight champion of the world replaces the previous White heavyweight champion of the world; that's obvious.

What's negative though is that Fury is nowhere near the level of class and dignity and intelligence as Wlad. Wlad is an intelligent, well-spoken, well-educated gentleman, where as Fury acts like a mindless, wigger thug.

Also I have no doubt Fury will lose to some random Black moron and then the new Black champion will duck all the hungry Russian fighters, and all the fat American DWFs will crow about how the heavyweight title is not properly in negro hands.

Fury calls Klitshko a great champion

Tyson Fury (ANG - new WBA / IBF / WBO): "I want to thank the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for guiding me to victory. I worked hard every day for this moment, it's a dream come true. You are a great champion Vlad (Klitschko), thank you for giving me this chance. (The provocations before combat) it was for fun, play to raise the sauce. I just wanted to be confident, youthful and cheeky. "
