It's also the first heavyweight unification fight of the 21st century.

If it was two black men fighting, the sports media would be paying a lot of attention to it, like the did with the last heavyweight unification fight between Lewis and Holyfield.

If Wlad can unify he will go down in history as the heir to Lennox Lewis and the best heavyweight of his generation.

I like Sultan but I don't see much hope for him against Wlad. He had a great run last year but Klitschko is not an asthmatic, steroid addled clown like Shannon Briggs. Nor is he a slow-footed plodder like Ray Austin.

A power versus speed match. Ibragimov will have to land the left hand early and often. But I don't see him hitting hard enough to win. He was not even able to knock out Holyfield.

I think it's almost suicidal for Sultan. It's not like Wlad is a heavy bag with arms. When he cut down Whitaker, Sultan didn't have to worry about much incoming. Wlad will be pumping his jab and leaning on him all day. One thing if you hit Wlad in the right spot his legs will go.

Yes, I'm hoping he doesn't retire and remains a contender for another few years. Sultan has no false notions like Ray Austin had about Wlad's ability - he knows he'll be up against a great heavyweight, and losing to Wlad will be nothing to be embarrassed about.

I'm pulling for Vlad, though I like both fighters. I'm sure Vlad will be on his toes, as he surely remembers what happened the last time he fought a fast lefty with a good punch.

Wlad should stop Sultan within 6 to 7 rounds. There is no way he can stand up to the thudding jab and the thunderous right coming right behind the jab.

Hopefully after his loss to Wlad he will knock off the other great black hopes and make tons of cash.

I'd say within 4 rounds he'll TKO him. IMO, this will be the best situation, because Wlad can save himself and Ibragimov will lose this fight anyway....so I hope it's over ASAP.

It's very sad to see this fight...but we all knew this day was coming. We may have to see this once or twice more, as Wlad will be taking ALL the belts eventually.

I actually think that Oleg will beat Peter in a decision and will eventually fight Wlad (unless Oleg looses the belt to Vitaly).

Dont worry guys, this is a GOOD problem to have!

Like I said over a month ago, Wlad should win by a KO/TKO in the 7th. He will prep Sultan's face up with vicious jabs, then tap his body with some perching body blows. Finally, the hammer will be dropped with a thunderous right....good night.

I forsee Wlad taking on the winner of Maskaev/Peters fight. He should be able to KO either of them within 7 rounds. I can not see anyone giving him problems, especially with Steward in his corner. Unlike Taylor, Wlad follows instructions and is able to bring preparation in training camp into a real fight. GO Wlad!

This fight is a shame. I almost wish Wlad would fight another black American bum (like Rahman of Briggs). To see two true gentlemen out there killing each other pains me to see. Not only will Wlad be knocking out a white champion, but an undefeated white champion. I love both fighters, but want Wlad to win for the greater good.

I know I should look at the ONLY bright side of this fight...that there are so many white contenders and white champs that they eventually have to fight one another....Wlad by TKO in the early 5th.

At least Igragimov will suffer his first loss to a fellow eastern euro brother. I just pray it's not too brutal or embarressing a KO.

Thrashen, I know we've had a discussion about white vs. white fights in the past, but look out for alot of them in the upcoming months. Povetkin is now lying in wait as the IBF challenger, and looks like there will be a Chagaev Valuev rematch, and Virchis will hopefully be the WBC mandatory challenger. Looks to me like the best white vs black fights in the heavyweight division will be in eliminator fights, though now we may start seeing more all-white eliminator fights too (like Valuev Liakachev). An embarrassment of riches, kind of like if Stanford, Duke, Gonzaga and Santa Clara made the final four in college basketball.

I'm as big a fan of Wlad as anybody on this site, but every time he gets into the ring I always worry about his chin. He has been knocked out twice by inferior fighters, and Sultan is no slouch of a fighter. I hope that we will not be let down. Thing can change very quickly in boxing.

My prediction for this one is KO or TKO by Wlad in the eighth or ninth round. Sultan will make it through several rounds, but once Wlad gets used to his defense he will put him down with a barrage of left jabs followed by a brutally powerful right.

Ted Atlas, the Jewish so-called "expert" commentator, predicted Ibragimov will defeat Wlad!

In the past he's predicted that Tarver would beat Hopkins, Taylor would defeat Pavlik (first fight), Barrera would defeat Pacquiao (Oct 07) and Kessler would defeat Calzaghe. He was wrong every time, and will be wrong again tomorrow.

No one is giving Sultan a chance. To win I think he should do what Corrie Sanders, another loose muscled, fast lefthander did, and go right at Vlad. Get inside and let his hands go and test Vlad's chin. I don't think he can outscore Vlad in a boxing match. Make a fight of it.

That said, I hope Vlad starches him quickly and gets it over with so I don't have to spend too much time as a nervous wreck watching the fight.

Of the two, Klitchko is the more special talent, while Sultan is merely very good. Vlad's had to climb back up from the abyss more than once, and he can't afford another loss.
