Will Shipley

Gainwell signs with Pittsburgh. Good news for Shipley for next year. As of now he is one injury away from starting for the team with the best offensive line in the league and one that helped propel Barkley to an outstanding year last year.

I remember Tom Woodeshick. I looked him up at Wikipedia. The Eagles were a poor team in his best years 1968-69. Woodeshick gained 947 yards rushing in 1968, average 4.4 per carry, made the Pro Bowl. He had 831 yards, 4.5 per carry in 1969, tore up an ankle in week 10, never was the same after that.

Google "Tom Woodeshick youtube" and you can find a highlight film.
I had never heard of Woodeshick. I looked him up on Wikipedia also. It said there was some signing issues between AFL Buffalo and NFL Philadelphia. Although drafted in the EIGHTH round he thought that the extra attention on him and the fact that he out ran Philadelphia star RB Timmy Brown he had a good chance at making the Eagles. I guess even in the 60's a white player had to be faster than the starting black RB to make the team.

Eagles did however sign the lumbering AJ Dillion. Is he the guy some cuck reporters were lusting over for his “thick thighs”? Anyway, I can’t imagine he supplants Shipley as the 3rd down back (when Barkley needs a spell). However, with the DEI NFL you can never be certain.

Yes highly disappointing. And the usual DWFs on Facebook chats disparaging Shipley. I reminded them he is just as fast as Barkley and every bit the athlete in all facets. He is unquestionably starter material and would be the best back on half the teams in the league.

The depth chart had Shipley as the backup (ourlads) then I looked today and they put Dillon at second and Ship third. I think it’ll be Shipley though.

I won’t hold my breath. Despite his showing in the playoffs, he is a white running back and thus never good enough in the eyes of a racist league.

Nice little article detailing how Will Shipley was a better player than his rookie stats and sees more action for him in year two.

Yes. Great article Warhawk. We lost being able to watch CMAC as much here on the east coast, but I hope Shipley can get more time with the Eagles to make it up a little not seeing CMAC, as much.

I’m as optimistic, albeit cautiously, as I have been in many, many years that white running backs will begin making a comeback. Maybe it is wishful thinking, but the narrative is slowly changing and racism against whites is being called out.

Everyone’s favorite here, RG3, has been going to bat for Caitlin Clark’s treatment against other racist blacks like Ryan Clark.

Say what you will about Trump but he has made it ok to say enough racism against whites. That sentiment will begin to seep into sports.

Cam Skattebo is getting a lot of favorable publicity, the article below being a good example. Up until very recently the party line would have been that he is too slow to be a running back in the NFL and should be switched to fullback or H-back.

Shipley is also getting a lot of positive publicity. That big run he had in the playoffs really helped his cause.

Normally I'd post in this in the Giants forum but because it fits in with what Warhawk wrote I'll post the article link here:
