Below is the state of college football for 2019.
Out of 130 teams there are roughly 764 white starters or about 5.9 per squad and 26.5% white, which is down by about 67 players total, .5 per team on average, and 2.5% lower compared to 2018
Only 6% of the teams this year have 11 or more starters, a far cry from the 30% or so teams that had this distinction about a decade ago.
Air Force, Miami (OH) and Northwestern are the whitest teams, each starting 13 whites (15 for Northwestern if you count the two white / Asian players on their team)
White athletes per team per conference looks like this:
Independent 8.5
Big 10 8.0
MAC 7.9
MW 6.7
Big 12 6.4
Pac 12 5.7
AAC 5.1
CUSA 5.0
ACC 4.9
Sun Belt 4.9
SEC 3.2
The SEC is the first conference to average under 4 white starters, and they are barely above 3! 9 of the 14 teams are starting 3 or fewer white athletes, with the “clubhouse leader” Arkansas at 7.
