White Tight Ends

I know it's hard to do sometimes, but I like to try to see the glass as
half-full rather than half-empty. So here goes a little thought
experiment (or reframing, for those of you familiar with NLP):

Maybe it's not such a bad thing that White athletes are relegated to
playing TE instead of WR. After all, WR's in the NFL have a reputation
as prima-donna's, ball hogs, selfish, and don't block as much or as
well as they should to support the team. Tight Ends, in contrast, have
to have skills both to block well (for the run, pass protection, and
downfield) and catch the ball. Since more Whites play TE, it showcases
their athletic ability and intelligence.

Comments? (Like I said, trying to see the glass as half-full...)

Conceed a string in this quilt of positions. Is that your argument?

It's my experience that when you pull the string you loose the entire sleave.

If the NFL had mostly white receivers like it should, receivers wouldn't have the reputation that they currently have.

Remember, the arrogant "Just throw me te damn ball attitude of WR's is a relatively new phenomenom in the NFL and just happens to coincide with the purging of white WR's.

I agree w\ schajw, it is good to look at this situation in a good way, however; we should dominate at both postions

Positions that should be close to an even mix: CB, RB. Positions that should be dominated by whites (meaning double the amount of whites to black or more): every other position including WR and Safety.
