I know it's hard to do sometimes, but I like to try to see the glass as
half-full rather than half-empty. So here goes a little thought
experiment (or reframing, for those of you familiar with NLP):
Maybe it's not such a bad thing that White athletes are relegated to
playing TE instead of WR. After all, WR's in the NFL have a reputation
as prima-donna's, ball hogs, selfish, and don't block as much or as
well as they should to support the team. Tight Ends, in contrast, have
to have skills both to block well (for the run, pass protection, and
downfield) and catch the ball. Since more Whites play TE, it showcases
their athletic ability and intelligence.
