As a rugby fan, and because it's Rugby World Cup, I wonder how many great white sportsmen in every sport (football, rugby, soccer...) could have been record breakers if they had swith to athletics.

Here is another fast french guy , with one of 2009 best try of the year

This rugby player (cedric heymans) was supposed to run 10.6 when younger

Shane Williams would have made a great scatback in football, Danny Woodhead type.

There is no doubt in my mind that Matt Jones could have run sub-10.0 if he had trained as a sprinter.

I suspect he could have competed well in LJ and HJ as well.

Too many to name :
1. Both Klitschkos, i can see them dominating discus or javelin easily.
2. Lance Armstrong in long distance running.
3. Christiano Ronaldo and Rooney in sprints.
4. Dimitris Diamantidis, a Greek basketball player with huge arm reach and jumping, he could be a high jumper or pole vaulter.
5. Michael Phelps in anything he wanted really, he's one of the greatest athletes of all time period.
6. Joe Calzaghe in middle distance running or 400m hurdles.
