White players are back !!

I am sitting here watching the Duke/Michigan game in the NCAA basketball tournament. It just hit me.....what's up with all the white players?<div> No tatoos, no dreadlocks, no posturing after every play. Very few black players.</div><div> It is a great game!!</div><div>

Deadlift, thanks for mentioning Halls of Anger. I'd never heard of it. I can't see them airing that movie today because they'd have to edit out Rob "Meathead" Reiner's utterance of the dreaded n-word.

In the middle of the night, I rewatched most of that movie on an upper-channel called "this network" (which is channel 106 of my cable package). They are showing it again in the near future.

I'm not sure if a channel like Turner Classic Movies has ever showed it, but I agree with you that most of the "regular" channels wouldn't.

Michigan turned the corner from pitiful to contender this year when they went to a largely white line-up. It should be a lesson learned.

I will wager that the Duke vs. Michigan game at times set a record for highest average SAT scores for on court players.

Im sure Jalen Rose is pissed right now seeing all those priveleged white boys playing for Michigan and the worse thing is they lost to all those priveleged white boys and uncle Toms at Duke!

As for Aaron Craft I can't wait to see him lockdown Kentucky's Brandon Knight! Should be a fun game to watch.

I couldn't find a thread for High School players, but here's a kid who already has amazing ball handling and passing skills. He'll be a great point guard somewhere...

Great find Jack! This kid is going to be a star one day. I can't wait to see him in college! To the DWFs: Whites can ball!

As an aside, I think I'll start a thread where we can post about HS players.

Here's a guy - Duncan Robinson - that everyone overlooked in high school, so he went to a Division III school (sounds familiar!).
But he did so well there his freshmen year, that the DI schools came looking for him, and now he is transferring to Michigan.
I think he will have to sit out a year, but we'll see him after that.
