There is also Brandon Hardin, who is a cornerback for Oregon State, but i cant tell if he is White or Poly. I think he's white though and he is like 6-2 220 which is linebacker size. There is also Harrison Smith of Notre Dame abd Drew Astorino of Penn State.

Great thread, but it should be moved to the College Football Stars forum.

"Kyle Theret, Sam Maresh, and Gary Tinsley have all been involved with alcohol-related incidents this Spring. All three are reportedly still on the team, but their leashes must be fairly short."

They can't deny Sash...he's a big-play guy that already has the school record 350 yards off INT's!Everybody isexpecting more big things from him this year! Like Iowa...Penn State is another team that starts two white safeties...Drew Astorino was already mentioned above...here is the other half...

It looks like this upcoming year we may have quite a few white safeties drafted and more than usual for sure. The down side is that few white receivers will get drafted in 2011.

Hereare Jeff Dickmann's stats from his senior year at HS. He's now a sophomore at UCLA, having redshirted his first year, and RF last year. He played both ways at Notre Dame HS, and his defensive stats are hard to come by, but he was a great receiver there. Note the league and schedule,he played in a brutal HS league!

Mike McElroy from Southern Illinois is a FCS safety to keep your eyes on. He's 6'1 205
He intercepted seven passes and returned them for 131 yards, broke up another four passes and made 78 tackles as a junior. He was an All- MVFC first-team selection.

Collin Zych from Harvard is another talented player who somehow slipped through the cracks and landed in the FCS.
Zych, who will serve as Harvard's 137th captain in 2010, led the Ivy League in pass breakups (12) and passes defended (14) while ranking third in the league in solo tackles with 53 - more than double the next closest Harvard defender. His 73 total tackles led the Crimson and he tied for second on the team as well with six tackles for a loss.

Joel Schwenzfeier is a 6'2 195lb JR. out of North Dakota. In his first year as a starter at North Dakota he had 35 tackles and 2 ints. I expect these numbers to increase as Joel transitions into his second full year as a starter!

I seem to recall a white DB from Ohio who committed to Akron or some such MAC school because he could be a starting cornerback right away, but I can't recall his name or find him on Akron's commit list.

Ref, I think you're referring to Seth Cunningham. Here's his link in our high school football section: <a href="http://castefootball.us/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=10914&amp;title=seth-cunningham" target="_blank">http://castefootba

One of the most explosive and fastest prospects in the state of Ohio. Was the Division 1 indoor in the 200 meter. Posted the following times on an outdoor track: 10.59 in the 100 meter, 21.31 in the 200 meter, and 47.66 in the 400. </A>

Scout had this to say about him:

It's amazing that quite a few whites kids put up those incredible numbers such as 10.59 in the 100m yet they are almost never allowed to play cornerback at the Division 1 level.

Nice work celticdb15! The smaller schools have been producing as much pro talent as the 1A-schools..will keep my eye on them!

SS- Cooper Taylor - Georgia Tech...6'4" 208
Hoping he bounces back strong &amp; healthy this year...here's what cfbnews.com has to say...
*What to look for on defense: The return of SS Cooper Taylor. When Taylor was lost in September to Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, a rare heart disorder, the Jackets lost much more than a starter. They were robbed of an emotional leader and one of the best all-around athletes on defense. Well, one heart surgery and countless frightening moments later, he's back and ready to pick up where he left in his breakout debut in 2008. In a secondary pining for leaders and playmakers, his return will be both timely and inspirational considering how close he was to never playing again.
