White boxer robbed of deserved win on HBO

A white fighter from Argentina, Lucas Matthysse, was robbed of a clear decision win over Devon Alexander on HBO tonight.

Lucas knocked Alexander down once, and hurt him several times during the fight. Alexander only landed some pitty-pat punches on Matthysse, and missed a lot as well.

Andreas Kotelnik was robbed of a win over Alexander in 2010. One of the two judges who scored the fight for Alexander tonight scored Alexander-Kotelnik as 116-112 for Alexander.

Don King is Devon Alexander's promoter.

Parody I was just going to post that robbery. Matthysse, clearly won that fight by 3 or 2 points. Of the two crooked judges, he had Bradley winning 7 or 3 rounds!!! What a crock. At least one fair judge had it right! I thought during the middle of the fight that Lucus was going to win easily due to the fact he had Sergio Martinez's lead trainer in his corner.

This is the second fight that Lucas was screwed over, the first being when he beat Zap Juda several months ago. This fight, there was no question who the winner was. Larry Merchant made a very asute observation during the telecast. Poor Mattysse, comes to America for the big pay check only to be hosed over on the score cards again! Or words to that effect.

Also, once I saw Don King in the aftermath, then I knew Lucas was F'd. I was impressed with Mathysse, tonight and his last screw over against Juda. Oh, well, I think HBO know he won and will be back for another "pay day" against some "all world affelet". Regardless, Dan Raphael will rank Matthysse ahead of this corrupt decision.

I hope Matthysse next fight, will leave no doubt and just KTFO over the next affelet HBO tries to tell us is the "next big thing."

On a side note, I saw Lt Heavyweight Cloud fight, and he is the best lt heavyweight right now even if he is a black guy IMO. I was impressed with his resolve and confidence. He got the KO in the 8th. He is a mild mannered man who let his fists do the talking. Good for him.

It's been this way for sixty years in boxing. If a white fighterdoesn't have power toKO his non-white opponent, or completely overwhelm him, they just can't win.. How many top white boxers do you see? Very few! All the top whites are punchers....

Matthysse clearly won that fight. He landed the cleaner, harder punches throughout. You could make the case there were two 10-8 rounds. In the 7th round Matthysse battered Alexander, had him staggering around the ring for the whole round and of course there was the round where Matthysse knocked Alexander down.

The fight should have been 12 rounds. They probably felt it would benefit Alexander to have a shorter fight.

Credit to Larry Merchant for not holding back. When Kotelnik was robbed against Alexander, Max Kellerwoman kept his yap shut and went along with the sham. Merchant doesn't hold back usually.


Dan Rafael scored the fight for Alexander. He also had Alexander winning against Kotelnik.

When I saw Matthyse against Judah I thought he was a darkish mestizo. But when I saw him last night I thought he may actually be White. I guess sometimes it's hard to tell with South Americans. I think Matthysse is a Dutch name.

Nah, that's just misinformation by people speculating. His nickname "El Chino" is an riff on his asian features, I'm sure his buddies have been calling him that all his life.

Mattysse will bounce back from this, he knows he was robbed twice already (1st Judah, now Alexander). I see a resurgence in Argentine boxing, thanks to recent success of Sergio Martinez. HBO does NOT appear to adhere towards Argentines, the same way they do on Mexicans. IMO, it's because they are foreign, and virtually white.

Mexicans have leverage because of their booming presence in America, even if a considerable number of them are actually white.

I find it strange since Mexicans and Argentines alike would actually fall under the "Hispanic" category. That's the Jews for you...

Speaking of robberies, I just saw Macklin-Sturm. Macklin won that fight clearly and decisively. But even the British commentator had the fight even. WTF! What fight was he watching? Macklin beat his ass. This is right up there with Kotelnik-Alexander, Bell-Brown, and Shumenov-Campillo in terms of the worst robberies I've ever seen.
