I remember, as a teenager, sitting on the couch of a black neighbor with his friends watching this. Just plain awesome!

I posted this same fight on the next page. Didn't notice this post because you wrote no description. Gerry Cooney should have become champ. Such bad management, plus he didn't manage himself that well either. I'm still pissed off that he didn't become champ.

In NYC at the time there was a black radio guy who did a sports show, and what was very rare was that he talked about boxing a lot, plus he was huge Gerry Cooney fan. Art Rust Jr. He passed away two years ago.

It gets really good at about the 21:45 mark. The "Brown Bomber" gets upset by brutal knockout!

Thanks WW. Schmeling was a true gentleman who was also very successful outside the ring. He was also married 54 years. He's one of my favorite boxers (along with the K-Bros, Jess Willard & Tex Cobb).

Max Schmeling passed away at the age of 99 in 2005. The Klitschko brothers were close friends of his and often visited him.

They loaded up the Brown Bum's gloves for the rematch. The orders for the fix came straight down from President Roosevelt who said he "will not be embarrassed by Germany again." The Jewish governer of NY saw to the details.

There are so many great ones I cant believe this thread has as few as it does so far. If Im posting too many somebody stop me. I love this thread, and its fun to find these knockouts, and share them.

This one is in the movie "The Fighter". Its a sweet body shot that renders the Mexican crawling on the canvas. Mickey Ward had been brought into this fight as a stepping stone with no chance to win, and the commentators (Jones, Merchant, and Lederman) were shoveling ridicule on him.
Skip to 6:10 to get straight to the body shots.

Though caste-think has Jerry Quarry a perpetual loser, he had many good wins, including this one against a prime and very dangerous Ernie Shavers.

Jerry Quarry could have been cruiserweight champ today, but they didn't have that division then. On his knuckles he had tattooed "born to lose", and so he was.

I love the commentary on this one: "Was that a lucky punch, or did Micky Ward just make idiots of us all?"

Um, let's go with the latter, thought they were idiots long before that punch. This is probably my favorite knockout ever. You have to love the body shot here! Ouch!

This one isn't exactly some kind of spectacular classic, but it's always nice to see that mouthy, dim-witted Abo Mundine lying on the canvas:

SVEN OTTKE KNOCKING OUT ANTHONY MUNDINE:

The knockout can be found at 3:12...

Here's the result:

What a loser...

I could post two great ones a day for the next month straight, but Im holding off to give you guys a chance to post yalls favorites. Again several days have passed without any more knockouts posted so heres another one I love.
Jonak makes this negro do a cotton club jig with a huge right for a smaller man. The victum actually starts marching around like a soldier in boot camp. Jonak quickly puts him to sleep after that but its the little dance the African does that is so funny. I recomend skiping it foward to the 1:15 mark

But Johanssen lost the title back to Paterson the following year and then there wasn't another white heavyweight champ for 23 years until Gerrie Coetzee won it in 1983.

In my world
But Johanssen lost the title back to Paterson the following year and then there wasn't another white heavyweight champ for 23 years until Gerrie Coetzee won it in 1983.

In an era that Jews commanded that only black men can fight for the title, while the few white contenders were some non athletic jokes from the US and UK (an Argentinian every now and then) who did not even learn the basics of the sport (Cooney and Quarry) simply because this is what the Jewish boxing promoters commanded every boxing gym in America back then, so the white men would look silly compared to the black ones who ate, breathed and pooped boxing...................Mate, let's be a little fictional in here...........Let's imagine what if Eastern Europe could participate in the pros from back in the 1880's just like Americans and Brits and I guarantee you that Professional Boxing would look exactly like Kickboxing, Greco-Roman wrestling, Weightlifting, Strongest Man Competition and so on........The American champs (regardless race) would be as rare as they are in all the previous sports I just mentioned. Let's be realistic for once, Americans are not the best fighters or boxers or wrestlers or strongest men out there. Blacks would have never produced 10% of the HW champs if 95% of the world's countries were not excluded from the professional edition of the sport for over 100 years.

Where's the great "athletic" nation of (African) America in the world's most popular sport aka Soccer? Pleaseeeeeee!

USA won't produce another HW boxing champ for over 50 years, mark my words. When a sport, especially a combat sport, becomes a major international attraction, America fades and that's reality!

PS
You can't be the most obese country on the planet, having the most junk food brands by far and at the same time having the nerve wanting to produce elite (African) American champs in combat sports..............It takes really tough men to make it to the top and USA is nothing but pure propaganda and steroids abuse in most of their sporting events. Let's wait and see what happens to team USA at the Olympics once their economy falls...........All these medals in track and swimming will decrease 90% once American athletes get tested equally by WADA and not that joke they name USADA.
