Week 16 2009

I highly doubt there has ever been a season with two White tight ends over 1,000 yards. Go Brent!

He has plenty of time to do it. They are only half way through the 3rd quarter. Don we can actually have three tight ends go over 1,000 yards. Clark has already done it, Celek needs 31 yards, and Witten needs just 22.

With Jacksonville's loss, does this a) put Del Rio's job in jeopardy, and b)encourage discussion about replacing Garrard.
Also, even assuming Houston doesn't make the playoffs, did their win help keep Kubiak safe for one more year?
Did anyone else notice that the four top tacklers for the Bills were white?

Multiple Zach Miller sightings, in Oakland and Jacksonville, as Zach Miller of Jags is teams pass yardage and TD leader today.

Kubiak should be back.

Kansas City just went up 10 points over Team Eminem 27-17 with 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

3rd-year offensive right tackle for the Cowboys, Doug Free, just showed how athletic he really is.

on Felix Jones' 49-yard touchdown run down the left sideline, Free worked his way all the way across the field with enough speed to throw a lead block at the 10 yard line to allow Jones to walk into the endzone. amazing speed and effort for such a big man!

also, Jason Witten appears unstoppable.

edited to add: Witten just went over 1,000 yards for the season! woot!

Wow, if Celek goes over 1,000 there'll be three White TEs this season! The Eagles are getting blown out so McNabb should be throwing every down in the 4th quarter.

Perhaps the only silver lining in the Wes Welker injury is that Edelman, who should have been #3 behind Moss and Welker all season, will have a chance to prove himself.

Edelman has had a strange rookie season. He had a great game against the Jets when Welker was injured"¦.he has been injured himself for several weeks (broken forearm)"¦.and he's been a healthy scratch / emergency 3rd QB for a few weeks.

He's a little taller, a little more athletic, and appears to possess slightly faster straight-line speed than Welker, but is obviously less savvy than WW.

It would be a real shame if Welker, probably one of the top 5 overall players in the NFL, were to miss the entire playoffs. Today, WW amassed the second highest catch total in NFL history (despite missing 2 games), was 2nd overall in yardage, and was voted to another pro-bowl. Assuming his season is over; I hope Edelman leads the Pats deep into the playoffs in his stead.

Great season, Wes, you have smashed through the oppressive walls of the caste system....despite being undrafted, unwanted, and underappreciated due exclusively to your skin color.Edited by: Thrashen

once again ... great post, Thrashen.

I've never enjoyed rooting against an NFL team as much as I enjoy rooting against Denver.

Jamal Charles has 259 rushing yards against that "great" Denver defense.

Damn!! It looks like Celek may come up short. McNabb keeps getting sacked.

The Eagles were terrible on both sides of the ball. Romo had all day to throw while McNabb was given poor protection by his sumo line. And of course there were plenty of drops.Edited by: Don Wassall

If the Bengals beat the Jets tonight the Texans are in, otherwise the Jets join the Ravens as the AFC wildcard teams.

Herremans got injured so I believe they had all sumos on the line for part of the game.

Charles has elite track speed but has some of the worst hands in the world. it's like his thumbs aren't actually opposable. in fact, i'd bet none of his babies' mommas let him hold their whelps. he'd drop 'em!

it seems like he either fumbles the ball, drops a pass, or makes a big play. there's seemingly no other outcome when he's involved in a play.

Congrats to Clark and Witten on their 1,000 yards seasons. Great effort by Celek too.

Everyone can celebrate the fact that McDoucheBag's team made history as the only 6-0 team to miss the playoffs. Also, Scheffler, Stokley and Hillis will hopefully have new teams next season where they are actually wanted.

As for tonight's game, the Texans feature many talented whites. However, if the Jets make it they feature Woodhead as the 3rd down RB and sometimes a white safety duo with Leonhard and Smith. I won't be too upset if the Jets win.Edited by: Freethinker

Jamarcus's turnovers killed the Raiders chances of winning. From start to finish, Russell was the worst QB ever.

worse than Tarvaris Jackson? worse than Akili Smith? really?

of course, it's hard for anyone to say who is truly the "most worst" when dealing with affirmative action projects.

Man, that royally sux WW got injured. I was hoping to see him tear it up in the playoffs.

Congrats to Welker on a incredible year. Here is to a very speedy recovery. Great game by Edelman. I can't wait to see Woodhead get some runs tonight or at least I'm hoping. Texans or Jets is fine with me but the Texans are far more whiter.
