Have you guys checked out Wally Szczerbiak lately.He's really stepped it up and is up to twenty points a game now,a career high.After showing good improvement over his first three years I thought that coming of that 2004 season he would get buried but he's come on strong.Way togo Wally.

I am sure Kevin Garnett will have something to say about this.It isnt well known, but Kevin Garnett does not like Wally in the least bit. Garnett even sucker punched him in the face at a practice. Garnett also did this to Rick Rickert (another white player) knocking his front teeth out in practice after Rickert had taken him to town a couple of times. But you never hear any of this in the news.
Wally has career FG% of over 50%! and over 40% career from the three-point line! He is now on a team that seems to appreciate him - at least the fans do. He got a standing ovation in his Celtics dubet and a "Wally" chant broke out during the game.
In Minnesota the media has always described him as an unathletic ball hog. Kevin Garnett hated him (as KJV1 has pointed out)and also brokered the deal that sent Wally to Boston. Garnett has also described Wally an out of control ball hog. BTW, Garnett is below 50% from the field and 30% from the 3-point line. I would think you would want the guys who have the best chance of making a shot to actually do the shooting. But that's not the way it is in the Bizzaro world of America.

Yeah, I heard the trade analzyed on ESPN sports radio, and Tommy
Heinsohn, as well as the predictable (but forgetable) jock-sniffing
host, both kept referring to how much Wally likes to shoot. Isn't it

There is no way a white guy could actually be a "ball hog." The black guys on the team won't permit it.
Meanwhile, Kobe goes for 81, Iverson routinely shoots more than anybody else on the team and everybody thinks thats great.

ESPN the magazine had Wally and KG on the cover a few years ago. Inside the magazine they characterized Wally as out of control and emotional while KG was the poised team leader and tempered Wally's behavior. KG was a rock and Wally was a loose cannon who needed to know his role. I didn't buy it then and definetely not now.

Wally is a classy guy from most articles I have read.I don't think the Celtics will need to worry about what he does on or off the court.The guy got married in college.What does that tell you?I think the Boston Fans will really love his competetivness.They just need to get one or two more good players and they will be back in the playoffs consistantly.I have one question though,why are they not playing Dan Dickau more?Edited by: white lightning

He didn't say it about Dickau specifically, that's just his catch phrase for

I don't think dunking on somebody ought to be the criteria of a exciting nba player. I think a silky smooth jump shot that hits all net(swoosh)is much more of an accomplishment and something that's much harder to maintain than just going to the basket and dunking.

Wally is the 8th leading scorer in the NBA so far.He is averaging 27 points per game!This is amazing being that P.Pierce gets so many more shots usually.I think Wally has finally found the perfect team.The Boston Garden is starting to turn into Wally World.
