Wake Forest LB Jon Abbate

This guy has really started popping up on NFL scouts' radar. This junior leader of the Demon Deacon Defense has been leading his team in tackles this year. He is reminding scouts of Zach Thomas(both are 5'11) which is a pretty good complement. Here's his bio:

John just picked off a North Carolina pass in the end zone on the last play to preserve the victory.

Kevin Harris hurt his knee in the second quarter and didn't get but 3 carries today. They expect him to be back by the end of the season. Tough break for one of only 2 starting running backs in the ACC.

Abbate is creating a buzz for himself and keeps making clutch plays. Ive watched a few Demon Deacon games this year to see Harris mostly but they also have a great young athlete at QB in Skinner and a good WR...his name escapes me. Abbate did pop out at me as well...he is a true playmaker. When will Caparelli get a shot?
