Peter has been taking beatings lately from Wladimir Klitschko and Helenius. I predict Glazkov KO's the fat negro and puts him into retirement. Peter will probably come into this fight at 260 plus pounds. The only fight he seemed to be in shape for was the Wladimir one.

It's official Samuel Peter is now a pay cheque fighter. Normally I wouldn't want a raw prospect to fight a seasoned veteran who was world class in his 9th fight, but Peter was clocked and badly ko'd in his last two fights. If the Peter management team have signed for this fight they are cashing him out. In horse racing this is the equivalent of having a former Breeders Cup runner running in a 5K claimer within a year...

Peter seems to do better against smaller fighters. He's been dominated by the K brothers and Helenius who all stand 6'6 plus. His only other loss to a smaller fighter has been to Eddie Chambers and that was a MD. Glazkov is 6'3 so he's not really a "big" heavyweight. This could be a very interesting fight considering Peter actually shows up. I think Glazkov should win by UD, probably 8 rounds to 4 or so.

From what I've seen of Glazkov I am impressed. He reminds me of Boytsov.

After losing in a few high profile fights, fighters tend to quit when the going gets tough. I think Peter has had the ambition beaten out of him. I have seen this before with Bert Cooper, who gave guys tough fights until he had to dig down and then he eventually quit outright or just stop trying to win. So this fight shouldn't be as dangerous as it looks on paper for the Ukranian prospect.

Good point but if Glazkov can beat the beaten down Peter we know he's legit. Sam Peter is still a world class fighter and even a close decision win for Glazkov will do wonders for his career.

The 6'9" 320 pound Orlov is a dirty fighter who has lost by DQ several times.

He seems to do more wrestling than boxing, and repeatedly hits while holding and sometimes even tries to choke his opponents.

Orlov may have been saved by the bell after Glazkov hit him with a body punch near the end of the 5th.

But Orlov retires in his corner after the round anyway.

Another win for Glazkov. He has a lot of potential, I just hope his promoter keeps him more active this year.

Vyacheslav Glazkov vs. Tor Hamer will be on NBC Sports Dec 22.

(Tomasz Adamek vs. Steve Cunningham is the main event).

If I remember correctly, Tor Hamer recently won a "PrizeFighter" competition in the UK, he also won a decision over Kevin Johnson doing so.

This will be a good test for Glazkov and actually, I think it's a bit of a risky fight considering Glazkov has only 13 pro fights. It's "aggressive matchmaking" similar to how Kubrat Pulev was brought up. Sometimes that strategy works out and sometimes it doesn't.

Guess we'll find out on fight night. Hopefully Vyacheslav can pull off the win! I'd be interested in seeing some betting odds for this fight, I'm guessing they'd be close to even.

Here's Glazkov in his next to last fight vs. a Nigerian, Oloukun, who was in with a lot of top names and had gone the distance with Pulev, Helenius, and Brewster. Glazkov knocked him down with a body punch in round seven, but he did get up...and then the ref belatedly called off the fight...or something. Bizarre. Anybody know what that was all about?

Tor Hamer quits on his stool after the 4th round.

He showed no heart on national TV.

Glazkov remains undefeated.
