I voted 60 times. This is payback for Welker not going to the pro bowl two years ago.

Awesome! I voted a couple hundred times. In my mind I did it to cancel out the votes of a Vick fan who might be voting non stop. I know there were a couple people who used some sort of autoscript to have their computer vote on autopilot. One guy claims 100,000 of those votes, another about 50k. Either way I say it's fair game, the Vick fans could have done the same but they weren't passionate enough. To stand out you have to be bold and do whatever it takes to win!

I voted once per day for Hillis. I guess I would have felt guilty to sort of cheat. I'm sure lots of people broke the rules on each side though.

Just maybe we will see some signs with the NFL draft tomorrow (with the smaller market teams, which pushed for the lockout, claiming not to be making as much money in this economy) of NFL teams drafting more white WRs and RBs late in this draft or at least giving them serious looks as priority UFAs in training camp.

We know in the age of fantasy football that QBs, RBs and WRs are glorified by fans. They are the glamour positions. For too long RBs and WRs across the NFL were almost 100% black. Now we may see some team owners start to realize that economically it will hurt them to shut out whites from playing those two positions. They may come to the realization of how popular Hillis and Woodhead are and figure out that more whites will be grateful and releaved to just get a shot at playing a game they love "for the league minimum" after all the battling they had to go through to get there.

Maybe we will see a guy like Tyler Beiler (who was more productive in D III than Cecil Shorts) or Joe Hastings get a shot.

The top white RBs this year IMO are:
1. Chase Reynolds
2. Dan Dierking
3. Angelo Babbaro
4. John Goebel
5. Kyle Minett
6. John Mosure
7. James Berezec

Realistically if these guys had the "right" skin tone Chase Reynolds would be drafted day three and probably at least one of the next four guys (based on team's preferences and by chance- looking at their skill set), would probably be in NFL training camps.

Out of the white WRs there are 9 guys I'd REALLY like to see make NFL rosters this year (although I haven't numerically ranked them): Greg Salas, Dane Sanzenbacher, Jeff Maehl, Ryan Whalen, Scotty McKnight, Kris Durham, Greg Ellingson, Tyler Beiler and Joe Hastings.

For too long white small schoolers haven't gotten a fair shake. WhiteRivals, BrownieScout.com and BSPN Luginbill INC. are the enemy and have enough influence to try to bury the talents and blacklist white skill players from getting looks at FBS scholarships. Even if we only see small increases in FBS scholarships for white RBs and WRs, just maybe NFL team owners will think with their pocket. Maybe they'll push to pick more productive white small school RBs and WRs based on the merit of their skill and not the color of their skin. This is a great day for the progression of American sports. The tide is turning. The beginning of a new era?Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

This is a great win for the CF cause and a major defeat for the establishment. They opened the voting to the fans for the first time ever and these are the results. If it was left up to some corporate marketing hacks at EA, there's no doubt Vick would've gotten the cover.

Makes me a little hopeful that some DWFs are perhaps not as bad as we think they are. I've also read some comments from Vick supporters which are downright pathetic, so there's still quite a ways to go, IMO, to change the mindset of the average fan.Edited by: foobar75

foobar, my take is that your average white fan is MUCH harder on white players for mistakes, but will pull harder for a GREAT white RB than a black one b/c they are sick of seeing 100% black faces carrying the ball. The word is GREAT, b/c fans won't warm to an "average" white speed position starter like they do to some black ones. At almost every position it is a bit of a love/ hate affair with white players I think.

Edited to add: Yes, Green Bay loves John Kuhn, but that was as long as the team was winning and he was a good role player, a third down back and clutch short yardage guy. I don't think the fans would warm to a guy like that as a starter. Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Now the cynical me wonders if EA is going to allow people to vote next year. No one could have predicted Hillis would win. Congratulations to him, he made my day.

They'll probably just conspire more about which player they nominate for each team. Hillis won't be there again. For fear of a repeat, they'll use the "already been there" excuse they didn't use for Vick or Brees. Woodhead won't be there again unless he wins league offensive POTY, which he won't get enough touches to do.

yeah, i mean for marketing reasons they can't have the same guy on the cover twice in the consecutive seasons. but how cool would Clay Matthews look! i don't think they really do defensive players, not that i can remember.

Ray Lewis has appeared on the cover, as well as Troy Polamalu who shared the cover with Larry Fitzgerald.

Looks like his cover appearance is really starting to get him a lot of attention. First at the draft, now on late night television!

That cover shot is a great pic of Peyton. The number one perk being on the cover "Helps Cleveland forget about LaBrown." LOL
