While there are still two cities competing for the opportunity to host the Samuel Peter- Vitali Klitschko megafight (Abuja, Nigeria and Berlin, Germany), Peter says regardless of where it's held, his greatest hope is that Vitali actually shows up this time.

"He has already run from me many times, but now he has signed the contract. This time he must finally take his punishment like a man or get out of boxing forever.."

Peter's manager, Ivaylo Gotzev of Elite Sports Management, claims that news of Vitali's willingness to finally face his fighter makes their revenge scenario even sweeter. "This is the first half of Operation Giant Killer because we're going to take out Wladimir's brother before we settle the score with him. Vitali has been standing in Samuel's way for a long time, but now we've got the opportunity to send both of boxing's giants home with a beating."

Gotzev says Vitali's on-again/off-again comeback hopes have been a giant bump in the road to their plans for avenging the close decision Peter lost to brother Wladimir that included Klitschko hitting the canvas three times in 2005, but if Peter vs. Klitschko comes off as scheduled, it will lead to an important series of fights for the heavyweight division and the sport of boxing.

"This is one of the only meaningful fights in boxing at the moment. And Vitali has been standing in the way of even bigger business with his brother. Hopefully he will show up this time, so that the heavyweight division can settle things the right way and crown one true champion."

Peter, who is set to begin training camp next week, says he has only one message for Vitali Klitschko: "Come and get the punishment you deserve so I can get your little brother next."

If Vitali can get through training camp healthy, he will win this fight rather easily. I just hope that he can shake off the ring rust through some serious sparring. I would have liked him to take a tune up, but if he can get into fighting shape, he will expose Peter once and for all. He will knock him out!!

Vitali wants to win this fight badly. The goal of the Klitschkos was to become the first brothers to be heavyweight champions at the same time. It would have happened back in April 04 but shady ass ****** Don King ruined it when he drugged Wlad in the first Brewster fight. If Vitali can get through training without getting injured he will bust Peter's fat black ass.

Vitali several years ago would have destroyed Peter within a few rounds. I think Peter is a bum. However he hasn't boxed in what 4 years. This scares me.

Yeah, but I remember one year the World's Strongest Man contest went to Africa (Morrocco? I think) and a few of the top guys who were favorites to win got sick from the water. I worry that Klitschko may get sick, and since his 4 year layoff he'll need to be in tip top shape!

That's great to hear! Vitali looked in shape in Wlad's corner, but, then again, the Klitschko's never seem to be too out of shape.

I think Vitali will come into the fight in good shape. However I am most concerned about his timing. A four year lay-off is one hell of a long layoff. Then you consider that he is not even taking a tune up fight. Man, I am a little concerned to be honest. I still believe that Vitali will win though. But might be a closer fight some expect due to a ridiculous 4 year lay-off.

I may do that Amren. I actually may come back a day early because I need to see this fight. It's the biggest of the year for me. The Adamek and Cunningham fight is another important one for me. Polish power will prevail in this one.

its tough enough to come back after 4 years of no fights if you are 27, vitali is 37 and has not fought in 4 years, it would be amazing if he won. I hope he does.

If Vitali can get pasted the first 6 rounds I give him a good chance. Peter looked exhausted in last two fights. Even though Peter gets tired, he is a fighter that somehow always maintains his power. Vitali will have be careful at all times.

I agree completely. Fights like these where both guys have knockout power with one punch can turn a lopsided fight on a dime and are very unpredictable. Go Vitali!

In Peter's last 10 fights, he's only won five by KO or TKO. He lost one to Wlad by decision, and won the remaining four by decision. He didn't knock out James Toney, Jameel McCline, or Robert Hawkwins. I think his power has faded somewhat.

However, a four year layoff can't be discounted and tossed aside as if of no consequence. I think there is real danger for Vitali in this fight because of ring rust.

Still, I hope Vitali gets the KO in the late rounds.

Vitali has to be especially careful of Peter's rabbit punch.

A punch to the center of the back of the head will cause anyone to become dizzy and disorientated. People have become permanently brain damaged (example, McClellan vs. Benn) or even killed (Campbell vs. Baer).

In my opinion it is a question of mobility. Vitali was always able to lean back with enough quickness to avoid bombs and fight tall. If Vitali's still has most of his mobility I do not think it will matter to much how sharp his punches are. Not saying that the crispness of his punches are unimportant, just saying that Vitali is so far ahead of Peter in the skill department that if he has maintained his mobility he can win with his jab alone.
