Vikings TV Series degrades historic white people

Vikings is a historical drama television series written and created by Michael Hirst for the History channel.


Alfred the Great is portrayed as a bastard, the illegitimate son of a Roman Catholic monk. In reality, he was the youngest son of King Athelwulf of Wessex.

King Æthelwulf is portrayed as a cuckold and a heartless man who slaughtered women and children at a Viking settlement in Wessex. In reality he was a deeply religious king and there was no Viking settlement in Wessex during his lifetime.

Egbert of Wessex, who had a long and successful reign, is portrayed as a wicked, cruel man who has sex with his son's wife.

Odo of France, who was 25-26 when he led the successful defense of Paris, is shown as an ugly fat man in his 50s and a sado-masochist who ties women up and beats them.

Would you expect anything else from the anti-white mass media overlords. I liked Vikings alot for the first season but it rapidly went downhill, as has been discussed on this board before.

Yes, the first few episodes were okay, but it's gone downhill since then, especially the 4th season (20 episodes) that just finished.

That show is a joke just like everything on that channel these days. I used to enjoy the history channel a great deal when it just stuck to historical documentary type shows - the civil war and WWII documentaries were always enjoyable.

Real history is far more interesting than the Cultural Marxist garbage.

There is no good reason why they can't create dramas that are historically accurate.

The real events of 865-878 with the Great Heathen Army invading England would be a refreshing change from the same old worn-out stories of infidelity, betrayal and lesbian relationships we have been inundated with over the past decades.

The real story of the heroic defense of Paris in 885-86 by a young Odo of France makes for a MUCH better story than portraying him as a perverted late middle-aged man tying up women and beating them.

This reminds me of the recent TV series "Merlin" that depicted Guinevere as a Black woman, along with some of King Arthur's knights also being Black.

Blacks are also present in all sorts of "historical" dramas or fantasy worlds based on Medieval Europe not because Blacks ever represented a prominent group, but because of a tacit understanding that European culture is more advanced and interesting, and no one gives a flying f*ck about what was going on in mudhut Africa, because in truth it was like a museum scene with people dancing around all thrilled to have discovered fire. Truth hurts.
