Tomorrow night at UFC 194, Interim UFC Featherweight Champion, Conor McGregor, faces the oft-injured current Champion, Jose Aldo, for the undisputed title.

The Brazilian, Aldo, has undeniable talent, but he hasn’t fought in a year and 2 months. Couple this with the fact that Aldo pulled out of their previously-scheduled bout in July due to a minor rib injury and that McGregor has been mocking, deriding, and humiliating Aldo in the public eye for an entire year and you’d imagine that Aldo would be somewhat distracted and feel much pressure to perform…

There’s something about McGregor that’s different from all other UFC fighters. His punching power is clearly the best in the division, he fights extremely loose, has fantastic stamina/conditioning, moves effortlessly around the cage, and his chin is such that I don’t think it’s actually possible to knock the Irishman out. If Aldo stands and trades blows with McGregor, the title should change hands. Aldo, a BJJ blackbelt, would be wise to attempt a submission and generally keep the fight on the ground.

Should McGregor prevail in this much-anticipated bout, it would not only give the UFC another white champion, but would surely boost the popularity of MMA among European youth…thus helping to increase white masculinity, physically aggression, self-confidence, etc. I truly hope the brash-talking Irishman can get the job done!

In addition to McGregor-Aldo, the man who single-handedly destroyed Anderson Silva’s career, Chris Weidman, is also in action as he faces another talented white fighter (Luke Rockhold) for the Middleweight Championship. Weidman is undefeated and probably the most intelligent, dedicated, and consistent fighter in the UFC. Rockhold is good, but I can’t see Weidman losing, given the amount of time he’s had to prepare. Plus, how could ever bet against a guy that did this to Anderson Silva, haha…

Nice write up Thrashen.... Aldo is phenomenal..literally scary! BUT Conor is a once in a generation Freak of Nature! Hard to imagine seeing him lose anytime soon...

Could watch that Weidman gif 100 times!

Very nice wins from Faber and Maia. Hoping for big things from Weidman and McGregor.

Wow - Jacare got screwed by the judges. He will have nothing for Weidman (especially after the first round).

I thought Souza won the last two rounds. The first round could have been a 10-8 Romero, but I don't understand how they gave him either of the other rounds.

Aldo doesn't have much of a gas tank. I think if Conner brings it into the later rounds, he'll win.

I see Aldo/Conor as a slight edge for our guy. Aldo should use his wrestling but not sure he will. Aldo has won some very close fights and his luck may be up tonight.

Weidman vs Rockhold should be interesting. I actually like both fighters. Weidman had a slight advantage on the ground, but I think Rockhold has much better striking.

Aldo gets a lot more hype than he deserves. He seems to eke out a lot of wins in fights were if his opponents threw a few more shots they could have had the scores go their way.

What is Weidman doing? Ill-conceived spinning heel kick, and first round rush where he took Luke's back up high that only drained his own energy.

Wow - shows what I know. Congrats to Luke though. Wonder if we get a rematch or a fight with Romero.

I preferred Weidman to win because he was undefeated and defeated Silva twice, but Rockhold is another great white fighter so it's not a terrible loss.

Weidman was easily winning the third round and looked fresher until he went for that dumbass kick.:noidea:

I felt uneasy for the Rockhold/Weidman fight since they were so evenly matched, but I think McGregor is better than Aldo. We'll see.

I'm tired of seeing these grown white men acting like wiggers. Rockhold and McGregor both come out to negro music. It's hard to root for these guys.
