I thought the disallowed goal in the Greece v Cz. Rep match should've stood. The Greek player was originally in an offside position but by the time it was actually crossed he looked to be level with the last Czech defender.

Petr Cech with another howler reminiscent of 2008 against Turkey.

strange match
greece gave up 2 goals in 5 minutes, it could be because their 2 central defenders can't play (1 is injuried, and the other got a ridiculous red card in the first match)
they didn't gave up, but there was a disallowed goal (maybe wrongfully disallowed) and another offside were the greeks were about to score but actually he was not offside
it was annoying to see the referee interfere so much in the game
greece can still qualify though and i believe they will make it
a draw would have been deserved in that match

i remember that in the last euro champs cech did the same against turkey, his team lost because of this

Ok, I see Frederic beat me to the two points I made above. As for the referee interfering...he was even involved in one of the tackles! The ref landed on his rear end.

Here it is:

Two very good games today. Am really liking this tournament so far and will like it even more if Sweden and Ukraine can defeat England and France.

Well, last night the crack:biggrin: BBC pundits Alan Hansen and Alan Shearer both stated with great confidence that neither Sweden nor Ukraine "will bother" England.

Hansen is well known for his thorough research:

Hansen – who is paid £1.5million a year for his expert analysis on the BBC show – predicted Spain would be joined by Germany, Holland and Portugal to make up the final four.

But that is impossible as the last three teams are all in the same group - and only TWO of them can qualify for the knockout stages.

In 2010 during the pre-match show he predicted England would beat Germany.

i enjoyed Poland game today, Boenisch improved a bit (although one can tell he has been removed from football for 18 months) and others played mostly well. defense is gelling still, but will get there. a tie in this game is a good score, in a way that we still have to beat Czechs but Russia can't just be sure of their first place, so they will play to win against Greece, and win they should.

so... go Poland! beat our southern brothers and enjoy the first quarter final of anything in my memory!

PS what a goal that was!

Bucking the trend. Croatia's national team will *not* be visiting Auschwitz. Instead, a memotrial of communist crimes will be visited.

"We won’t be visiting Auschwitz, but it’s almost 90% certain that we will visit some memorial centre and pay respects to those Polish officers killed in Katyn forest,” the president of the Croatian Football Federation Vlatko Markovic said, June 8.

A has Balotelli ranked as the 21st best player at the Euros.

hahahaha!!! that's hilarious! thanks for the laugh, Europe.

surely no one seriously believes such a ridiculously lofty ranking ... do they? then again, i guess DWF stupidity has no limits.

additionally, it should be added that even with his being so over-rated, the "italian" is still the highest ranked black player on that ridiculous ranking list. *smirk*

wtf ESPN... 21st player? so basically for getting a gift wrapped ball from Ramos then looking puzzled and slow, not knowing what to do with it and giving it back to Ramos? because that was his only play, really... plus he got subbed for a player who actually scored and was dangerous throughout.

The one good thing about the England-France match was that Uefa banned the England band from entering the stadium so we were sparred the noise they make for the whole game. England must get rid of that band at home too. All drumming and horns are irritating.

this is amazing :biggrin1:

it had to be croatia
i remember that their fans were accused of being racist countless times

and, even more significant, the current coach bilic was accused in 2008 (last euro champs) of playing an ultra-nationalist band in the dressing room:

http://farenet.org/default.asp?intPageID=7&intArticleID=1604

Slaven Bilic played the music of an ultra-nationalist Croatian rock band to his players in the team dressing room after their 1-0 victory over Austria.

"Our players were not entirely satisfied," said Bilic "so I turned on the CD player and told them to sing because after all we won."

Bilic, who himself plays in a rock band called, Rawbau didn't say which Thompson song was played but the band's radical lyrics and controversial comments from lead singer Marko Perkovic led to the group being banned from performing in the Netherlands in 2004.

i don't think the french players will go to auschwitz, and believe me it's the country where it would be the most necessary, france is a country where jewish children (less than 8 years old ) can be killed in front of their school (by arabs ofcourse)

Merah, who claims to be part of Al Qaida, is thought to have killed seven people - three paratroopers and three children and a teacher from a Toulouse Jewish school.

http://www.connexionfrance.com/Toul...s-siege-Jewish-school-13557-view-article.html

merah claims to be part of al quaida but actually he's just a regular french of arab descent, there is a very strong anti-jewish sentiment amongst french arabs

the germans kedhira and ozil didn't visited auschwitz either (especially ozil who is really muslim)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

regarding balotelli, it seems that he will start the next match
if he doesn't scores, he will be the biggest "flop" of the competition, and possibly of all times considering how hyped he was
if he were white, he would have been throwed out of the national team a long time ago
remember that so far he has scored just 1 goal with the national team, in a friendly match vs poland

also, since he got a yellow card in the first match (and everybody said he was lucky not to get a 2nd yellow) if he receives a yellow card in the match vs croatia tomorrow he will be suspended for the last match of the group stage

Esteemed Fellow Members -

Sorry about taking the thread off-topic by unloading on Zeus in my last post, but I simply cannot abide the bloke's arrogant drivel.

The fact that he disrupts discussions by pushing his ridiculous brand of oxymoronic "Greek supremacy" like some sort of demented bulldozer on F1 fuel pisses me off to no end. Why? Because the Greek diaspora has supplied endless legions of hard-core leftists to the nations of the "Anglosphere".

Here in Australia, I grew up seeing fat, sweating specimens inevitably named "Con", "Theo", or "Nick" wagging their sausage-like fingers at society, rabidly reproving "Anglos" about the evils of "discrimination" and "racism", replete with sob stories about their own "harrowing immigrant experiences" of "intolerance" and "bigotry". Funnily enough, they never mentioned the flagrant workers' compensation frauds their countrymen engaged in en masse, the scale of which gave rise to the term "Mediterranean back".

All in all, so-called "Greek Australians" were (and remain) amongst the most devoted spokesmen for "multiculturalism", swelling the ranks of socialist organisations, particularly the trade union mafia commonly known as the Australian Labor Party. Wherever one finds an anti-Australian pressure group, one is almost guaranteed to find a Greek. Sorry, Zeus, but that's just the way it is...

Anyway, back to the football.

Poland's defending at the free-kick from which Russia scored was utter rubbish. That woeful lapse of concentration could have potentially cost them a win (I say "potentially" as one never knows how a match would have panned out had a certain event not occurred). Blaszczykowski's goal was a world-class net bursting belter!

For Poland, it all comes down to the final match against the Czechs. High pressure stuff.

As for England, they used all eight of their blacks against France, starting six of the bastards. That was exactly what I was afraid of.

The French, of course, were even worse, starting only four Whites (including Ribery), 3 blacks, 3 Arabs, plus quarter-Vietnamese Yohan Cabaye. Sure, they appeared less ******* than England, but France is hardly what one could term "White". In any other team, such numbers would mean a disaster, but 'tis a sign of the times that people label this team's composition an "improvement"...

The French side represents what one can expect to see in many western European national teams in the coming years: the majority of starters constituting a mixture of Arabs and blacks, with plenty more on the bench.

has anyone else already grown tired of the media's incessant whining about the "racist" chants toward black players in the tourney? pfft. as a White athlete, i've been called all manner of offensive names by opposing blacks in my life, yet "somehow" that's not a big deal. conversely, the thought police mustn't allow the precious little black angels to have their sensitive feelings hurt, so that is a priority for "law" enforcement.

meanwhile, these precious black angels are raping, robbing, and murdering Whites around the world, yet the media makes not a peep. sounds "right" to me. :mmph:

Yeah Jimmy, it's really pissing me off. I mean, the group FARE or something like that even has "anti-racism experts and spotters" at these games. I mean seriously, what the hell?? I don't think they needed "anti waacism" experts at South Africa, so why do they need them here. The way UEFA makes it sound, no black person has ever called a white person any sort of racist term, and that all blacks are poor, nice, church-going fellows who are always terrorized by the white devils in every way imaginable. It has to stop. I wonder if UEFA will have an official "anti-discrimination day" as they did in the world cup? I wouldn't want an upstanding citizen like Ballotelli to have to go kill somebody because they made a noise that vaguely sound racist.

I really hope that Germany beats the Netherlands today. "Anti-racist" Marc Van Bommel and co. can watch the rest of the tourney sitting at home.

Ronaldo is really bad for Portugal, i wonder why. he needs to be playing in a lopsided league, with a VERY superior and stacked team to be any good, it seems.

At the 77', Ronaldo misses an easy 1 on 1 with the goalie. He looks lost.
Entertaining game so far with end to end action.

Bendtner scores!!! His 2nd goal of the match. All tied with 5 minutes and extra time to go. Good game.

I like Ronaldo but he needs to step it up.

Just not now that Portugal have put that black sub in and are playing with 3 Negroes.
