It's true the transfer portal is a true meritocracy as overrated high school prospects who don't crack the starting line up or get demoted move down either in the quality of team within the conference or to lesser DI conferences and underrated prospects move up in the reverse manner.

White players at running back, corner back or non flashy qb's have benefitted from the fluidity of the portal. You have to wonder before the rules changes and forced waiting out a season how many prospects were buried by red tape.

The Transfer Portal is certainly helpful for some of our guys to at least break through the caste gatekeeping at the college level. I am seeing these invites coming in for the Senior Bowl and Shrine game and my head just wants to explode. Absolutly criminal that these two games gatekeep for the NFL, LSU just had 3 bum WRs invited to the Shrine game. Two PSU D-linemen get senior bowl invites while Iowa's front 4 is shut out to this point.

Very true. I saw your comment on Twitter today about Chase Roberts being snubbed while a Texas Tech receiver got an invite. Chase Roberts had over a 100 more receiving yards than the Tech receiver and had arguably worse QB play as Morton for Tech is much better than Bachmeier. Has Tanner Wall from BYU been invited yet? I saw he was first team All Big-12 this year.

Crazy thing is Nebraska originally asked Danny Woodhead to join as a Preferred WALK-ON ...He said "No Thanks"

Wanted to find out the age difference between Woodhead (now 40) and Rex Burkhead (35) ..how cool if they had played at the SAME TIME
and ran across this ....
