TRADE Toby Gerhart!

Now that Chilly (not that he was a Toby proponent) is out in Minnesota, coupled with the emergence of Peyton and Danny, I believe that the Vikes will shop Toby around the league. What teams would be the best fit for him to step in right away and be a starter and featured back (similiar to Peyton)? Any thoughts?
 
Indy. They could really use a star runningback. They have no one right now in tobys league and it would make it even easier for manning to throw if defenses have to worry about gerhart.
 
The Rams would be a great fit as Steven Jackson is getting old and Gerhart is similair to him. They wouldn't have to change the offense, and with Bradford maturing another workhorse back would always be valuable. Gerhart could thrive in that offense b/c he would get enough carries to get in rythm,but also have a QB who can keep the defense honest, and probably force teams to play the pass. The Redskins would be an option if it weren't for Snyder, they have an aging Portis and no clear heir. Torain was having success in that offense and Gerhart is much faster and more explosive. Actually, he's probably better at everything. I heard that Torain ran a 4.7, how he is allowed to start is beyond me. Guess lack of speed is only an isue if you are white.
 
that would give Indy what, 10 white starters on the offense (Wayne and Collie at wide outs), with Francisco and Angerer we would be looking at majorly white team. ha, wouldnt i love for that to happen!
 
Colts don't seem to be the team for a Gerhart type of back, which really doesn't make sense if you think about it, wouldn't it be a good thing to have a powerful runner in the inside to shake up the defense trying to defend all your quick WRs and lethal passing attack? Yet so many of these pass happy teams like to have a small, speedy back who is a good reciever but goes down the moment he is touched. Doesn't make sense to me, but thats how most teams work.
 
Y'all are dreaming if you think the Vikings will trade Gerhart. Sure, I personally would love to see him with team, in a position where he can actually compete for a job, but the chances are slim and none that he's leaving the Viqueens.

i don't think he will leave, defnitely not after this season. maybe he'll get cut after he languishes on the bench for few more years.
 
My reasoning for bringing this up is that in all probability, Leslie Frazier is going to be the coach and he doesn't seem like a true believer in DIVERSITY. Toby is also a guy who could bring in another high draft pick in a trade and is more than capable of being a starter for game one. I also believe that he needs to play on a team with a majority (as in at least 4 out of 5) white O-Lineman. My dream is a trade to the Packers, but being that they are in the same division, he has NO shot! Bottom line, the kid needs to be playing for a team that "gives him the damn ball" to quote the famous orator, keyshawn johnson.
 
Toby signed a 4 year deal with the Vikings with about a third of it guaranteed. After 2014, he's a free agent.
I see no way that Gerhart will be traded since he is the perfect change of pace back along with Peterson and he blocks and catches the ball better than Peterson.
He will stay a Viking.
 
Well, he used to work with Dungy. We can only hope he will be as fair as Dungy was to white players (at least Dungy was somewhat fair on offense), or it could go the other way and be like Lovie Smith. Black coaches seem to have more job security than white coaches, they can take more risks, so it could go either way. He could be fair and win like the Colts, or he can keep playing his "brothers" and bring more in and have a mediocre team.

I'm sure that had more to do with Tom Moore and Peyton Manning than Tony Dungy. He liked to field a coal black defense.
 
Hey guys new poster here have been following CF for several years now after I Googled "What happened to the white running back". I'm sure thats quite a common story!
To the topic, TG will not be traded from Min. They are too scared of AP getting injured/falling off the boat. When they drafted him, I believe they never envisioned him being a starter or a bench warmer. I think it was a ploy to make AP actually work for his job!
On another topic I think that the demise of the Vikings this season is 100% attributable to the drafting of TG. To clarify, who remembers back in training camp when the Williams were trying to injure our man? Guess what, the other white players on the team noticed. They also noticed the lack of any type of admonishment for this thuggish behavior. If you watch their games closely on mute (as we all know the announcers will render you retarded if you listen) I think you may see, what may well be called a racial rebellion in the NFL. Now this is just my opinion based purely on speculation.
But what say you my fellow CFers? Could it be that we are seeing a group of white football players, who know the truth behind the Caste System and are finely fed up? Are they protesting for equality?
Although possible. I tend to think that it's more likely that the incident in training camp, coupled with whatever other derogatory behaviors followed. Caused white players (even if subconsciously) to no longer identify with their black counterparts. Causing a massive rift in the team.
And as anyone who has played the game will tell you, if you don't have ten other men on the field out there working with and for each other you will go nowhere.

well I always had a feeling drafting Gerhart was just their way to send a message to AP, notice how he has learned to hold onto the ball this season.

And I think that was recognized by the blacks, and they were/are quite upset. As a former RB myself I know they consider it "Their" position.

I think your theory has a lot of validity. Don't forget that the Vikings players that went down to Mississippi to talk Favre into coming back this year were all white.....some from the defense and some from the offense. Not to mention that the backup QB is none other than the great Tavarius Jackson. Childress clearly had issues with Percy Harvin......there does seem to be a racial divide on the team. How do they go from one field goal away from the SuperBowl to dysfunctional in one season unless there are some underlying problems?

Just curious as to what you've observed while watching their games without the sound on.I think your theory is quite interesting. The training camp hazing of Gerhart (and Tim Tebow and other White players, but no black ones) really ticked me off, and it would be heartening if some White NFL players were finallyfed up with all the pandering to blacks and all the league's racial double standards. My take has been that the Vikings' turmoil has been black-instigated and led, but maybe it was causedbya lot of racial polarizationand resentmentthat couldn't be kept bottled up.

I wonder too. The Randy Moss incident of him screaming about and belittling the mom and pop food comes to mind. I'm guessing they were white as I can't imagine Moss denigrating a family run black business in front of a group of fellow blacks. Haven't followed the story closely, but it seems the white players and Childress were the only ones upset.

Of course, after Moss was sent packing the racial divide must have widened even more.

And what about Ben R. getting whacked by Seymour? TNB, for sure, but did any of Ben's teammates go after Seymour or retaliate?

I can't imagine a white lineman sucker punching Michael Vick without all hell breaking loose. The brothers on BOTH teams would have gone ballistic.
 
The white caste whores, the worst of the dwfs are psychopaths, this fact alone must drive any white player to despair, because it seems no matter how much they grovel on their backs the psychopaths beat them some more.

Look at ol' Tom Waddle he is either a complete psychopath caste whore or he absolutley loathes them to the point that he takes the caste system to satirical lengths.
 
I know it's been mentioned before, but with the job market these days, probably White athletes who manage to land roles on teams despite racism are probably just so ecstatic to have a HUGE paycheck that they're content to keep their big mouths shut.

Of course to fans, and to these athletes as men, they of course want to be stars and shine like they can best do so, but hey, you know -- if you can land a roster spot, ride the pine and not have too much chance of getting injured, and get payed like an executive at a fortune 500 firm... Why rock the boat?

Also added to that is the fact that intelligent, well brought-up White men tend to be humble and willing to sacrifice personal glory for the greater good.

They play a game, yes, so in a sense their role in society is as entertainers, but their roles also mirror the greater role of Whites in America today.

Since we're slaves to paychecks, for good or bad, we just do what we have to do in order to keep our families fed.

I don't like some of my coworkers, but then again, I want to keep my career, so...

That's why I think Gerhart won't make a fuss about not getting to truck the rock more.
 
Very true Giovani. I'm sure every normal White Man deals with this Dilemma
as well.

Gerhart is just not the guy who will rock the boat. The precedent was set in TC. He is likely just not aware the the true ghetto, hateful and truly racist mentality of many blacks.

We'll see what happens. Yet MN is really not a good place for him.
 
It'll be interesting to see how the Titans play this week. Last year they totally quit until Kerry Collins was benched and Vince Young made the starter. Now it's a Young vs. Jeff Fisher battle; it won't be surprising if the team quits again as Young is almost as beloved among black players and fans as Michael Vick.
 
Regarding the Titans, I find Jeff Fisher's latest change of behavior curious to say the least. Here's someone who's reputation as a caste disciple preceeds itself, and he's been known to pander to black players for years. All of a sudden, he wants nothing to do with Vince Young who was his starting QB just two weeks ago? He had him basically kicked out of the team facilities and essentialy said Young is not welcome within the team in any capacity.

What has changed and how did Fisher grow a backbone all of a sudden?
 
Well, media and fans probably only know a fraction of the lunacy and dysfunction that is Vince Young.
Yes, Jeff Fisher has always been a hearty Castophile so the latest issues with Young are probably just the tip of the iceberg.
