Good list but its just the tip of the iceburg.There's literally a ton available and it seems to be a significant increase over previous seasons,maybe a result of White players forcing their way through in increasing numbers at all positions and becoming major producers.A qb that was surprisingly undrafted was Scott Tolzien.He's a very good player,smart,accurate and lead his team to a big ten title who was slightly more productive than Dennis Dixon a 5th round pick while playing against better defenses.If he were Black he would definately of been drafted.

For UDFAs to have a genuine shot and not training camp bodies they have to be considerdd the very best of the UDFAs for their position and at many positions White players are even amongst the most caste sites which is obviously a positive.

@ kre08 - Thanks. Yes, both cornerbacks are black - there are no white cornerbacks that I've seen on any draft prospect list, so it would be impossible for them not to be black. I was superbly impressed with Rembert as a person and a player, though. He would have been a first round pick (maybe a high one) if he was around 6'0" instead of 5'7".

@ Mighty Joe - I agree about the talent pool being so deep. I was also surprised that Tolzien didn't get picked. His completion percentage was superb this year, though my concern is that with Wisconsin's running game being so dominant, how much did that soften the pass defense for Tolzien? Still, he's certainly one of the top few quarterbacks available. I don't see the comparison between Tolzien and Dixon because Dixon, to me, was a huge threat with his running ability (which I just don't see in Tolzien) while Tolzien is the better pure passer.Edited by: Wisdom

Welcome to Castefootball, Wisdom. For cornerback I think Brandon Hardin is the only white corner in the top division. I think we also discussed a starting white corner for Indiana last year but I could be wrong.

Welcome to CF Wisdom. Good list! To find white CBs you usually have to research the lower levels and- even there- I believe most are black. The outlook for white CBs in the near future looks bleak, but hopefully more will take advantage of recent, new found, better opportunities to try themselves at tailback.

Celtic Dan DePalma looks like an explosive small schooler just like Tyler Beiler. I hope they both find themselves with an opportunity.

I also found out that Kyle Minett had a better than expected Pro Day. It was expected that he was going to run very slow in the mid 4.7s in the 40, but he ran a 4.66 and his 10 yard split wasn't too bad at 1.59. He also ran a respectable 4.22 short shuttle. He had a great 10'2" Broad Jump and 37 inch vertical. He had an impressive 20 bench presses for his size. His 3-cone was slow at 7.30. Overall a solid performance.

I was very surprised tolzien wasnt drafted as well as mark herzlich. As for white cornerbacks in d1 indiana has one or two and i think someone mentioned colorado having one.

@ WhiteAthlete33 - I was unfamiliar with Hardin. Thanks for the tip! He certainly has great size for a cornerback. I will see what I can find on him. As for the Indiana cornerback, I do remember reading about him and the fact that there were mixed reviews of his play. Did he keep a hold on his starting spot?

@ CelticDB15 - I love the story about DePalma and hope he makes the team. I read that he measured out at 5'10.6" and 195 pounds and ran a 4.44 second forty-yard dash at his pro day.

I am unfamiliar with Tyler Beiler but I am very familiar with Kyle Minett. A two-time Academic All-American and an (athletic) All-American, Minett ran for over 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons. He was #2 on my running back radar behind Reynolds.

@ SuperSpeed23 - I agree on Herzlich -- to me, him not being drafted was the most surprising one of all. I understand the concerns about what the battle with cancer took away from him but the upside he has is so tremendous and you know for a fact that he won't go down without an enormous fight. I'm not sure about the Colorado cornerback situation.

I am unfamiliar with Tyler Beiler but I am very familiar with Kyle Minett. A two-time Academic All-American and an (athletic) All-American, Minett ran for over 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons. He was #2 on my running back radar behind Reynolds.

Beiler is a 6 foot WR with 4.39 Pro Day speed from D III Bridgewater.

If I were going to rank the top undrafted RBs I'd list them as:

1. Chase Reynolds (white)- Montana
2. Noel Devine- WVU
3. Derrick Locke- Kentucky
4. Darren Evans- Virginia Tech
5. Angelo Babarro (white) slot back/ scatback- Villinova

White backs Dan Dierking, Kyle Minett and John Goebel deserve consideration for camp tryouts- and as UFAs for training camp. They could make a team as a 3rd or 4th tailback if they can show special team value. Dierking is known to be a beast on special teams.

Other black backs that I've evaluated that deserve a look in no particular order are Mario Fannin, Damien Berry, Eddie Wide, Barron Batch, Brandon Saine, DuJuan Harris, Eugene Jarvis, Chad Spann, Jay Finley, Alexander Robinson, and Poly back Vai Taua.

John Clay deserves a look as a goal line specialist and as an H-back.

Wisdom, the cornerback for Indiana is Matt Ernest. I actually did that preview and someone notified me that Ernest was now one of the starting corners. He was moved from wide receiver and started 9 games last year. He'll be a senior this year and I'm still thinking a starter.

They did have TWO starting last year, with Greg Heban the other one, but Heban's been moved to his appropriate position of backup safety.

About Colorado, doing my research thus far, they might have TWO starting white CBs! I'm not sure, when I was researching their white starters for this year(will post at a later date), Parker Orms and Arthur Jaffe were at the top of the depth chart at CB.

@ TJR - I enjoy reading your write-ups of running backs. Dierking is the first white running back to start in the Big Ten for some time now, isn't he? I agree on someone trying to keep Clay as a bruising back... but I think that also depends on if he can catch and block some, too, or they'll just use a fullback. Also, I know that he's a non-white guy but I hope Lowe's Senior CLASS award winner Ricky Dobbs gets a shot with some team (assuming he doesn't go directly into the Navy). I know he was a quarterback in college but he was primarily used as a runner in that triple option. His character is outstanding and his production was stellar.

@ WA33 and JL - Thanks for the info on the cornerbacks. I will be keeping an eye out for Ernest, Heban, Orms and Jaffe.
