If Adamek moves back to cruiserweights, there are lots of fights waiting for him and i don't see anybody beating him at that weight. Adamek vs Tarver would be great and would make sense as both faced Aguilera and it would be a good scalp to add to his resume.

If Adamek wants a belt at heavyweight his only option is to fight Povetkin. He certainly can beat him.

I suspect many of Adamek's fans didn't bother to cross the GWB to get into Brooklyn. So the crowd was basically general boxing fans. From what I know of the NYC Polish community it's much older and more integrated, so loyalty to the motherland is probably minimal.

NYC has a pretty big Polish community. Greenpoint Brooklyn has a large polish population and so do some parts of Queens like Ridgewood and Maspeth.

Hahaha your right I assumed most of the ethnic Poles in Brooklyn were descendants of people that came before WWII or shortly after as refugees. There are a lot of people that came after 1990.

It looks like Eddie Chambers is next for Adamek in June. I really like this fight, both guys are about the same size. I think Adamek will prevail in this one by UD, probably 8 rounds to 4.

FEATURED FIGHT: Tomasz Adamek vs. Eddie Chambers. Injuries have prohibited Philadelphia’s Chambers from fighting since February 2011, but he’ll present a different heavyweight challenge for Adamek on June 16 at Prudential Center in Newark. Chambers (36-2, 18 KOs) will be the first of Adamek’s nine heavyweight opponents who will weigh less than the popular Polish contender. Adamek (45-2, 28 KOs) bounced back from his 10th-round TKO loss to Vitali Klitschko (44-2, 40 KOs) by outpointing Nagy Aguilera (17-7, 12 KOs) in a 10-rounder March 24 in Brooklyn, but it wasn’t one of Adamek’s better performances. Chambers, 30, is five years younger than Adamek and has lost only to Wladimir Klitschko (57-3, 50 KOs), who knocked him out in the 12th round, and Alexander Povetkin (24-0, 16 KOs), who beat him by unanimous decision in a 12-rounder.

Adamek-Chambers is the next fight involving one of our top white boxers.

This won't be an easy win for Tomasz. Chambers has been working with Victor Conte, so he'll likely be on PEDs.

But I'm hoping Adamek will prevail.

Don't forget Andy Lee is fighting Chavez Jr.on the 16th. He certainly has a chance. I thought Zbik was robbed against Chaver Jr.

No, I think it starts ~ 10PM ET. I thought it was 6:30. It's always so hard to get that info.

Werewolf, the fight is on Fox Sports Network. You might have the channel. Anyways, the card starts at 8:30 and Adamek probably fights around 10pm or a little later.

It's on NBC sports network the old Versus. Your mother better be able to get that or you will have to high tail it home or go to a cybercafe....

Adamek wins by UD. I scored it 116-112.

Some viewers were misled during the fight by BJ Flores' absurdly biased commentary. He must be a friend of Chambers.

Agreed - he was like HBO announcers for their house fighter. Decent win by Adamek.

Glad Tomasz got the W. Have not viewed the fight though, check it out on Youtube tmrw. So, where does Adamek go now? I say return to the cruiserweight division and clean house. He will not beat Wlad or any other Euro Heavyweight who is over 602 and 230 lbs.

Flores scored it 115-113 Chambers. As I recall he had the opportunity to fight Adamek for the belt at cruiserweight a few years ago but backed down. He is an Adamek hater.

Chambers supposedly suffered a hand injury during round 1. The negroes and wiggers at Fightnews are claiming Chambers would have easily won if not for the injury and some are claiming he won anyway.

I only saw the fight in spurts but after Junior ko'd Andy Lee I saw the end of the Adamek fight and noticed Eddie Chambers being animated at the bell and Adamek not looking too happy at the bell. I figured the fight was close. I did notice BJ Flores during under card bouts on the broadcast but since the main event feed I saw was in Polish I wasn't subjected to his view of the fight....:biggrin1:

Adamek is 35 and has been in some wars. He said a year or so ago that he does not want to cut weight to get down to 200. A fight with Povetkin would be his only way to win a heavyweight belt - something I think he knows. If he wins that fight, he will be 3 division champ.

There are reports in the Polish media that Adamek will now pursue a fall fight with Povetkin.

Adamek is a superb boxer with a superb defense. The only trouble is he doesn't have a heavyweight KO punch.
