The quarterback who was just too good.
by Jimmy Chitwood

"The NFL needs a dynamic athlete who can run and throw. He will revolutionize the quarterback position."Â

Football fans have been inundated with that media message for decades ... but the NFL doesn't want that guy to be Tim Tebow.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><?: PREFIX = O /><O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
Since the outcry for an "athlete"Â at quarterback began, fans have beenrelentlessly "informed"by media messages that insist there is "systemic racism"Â by college and NFL football teams opposing opportunities for black quarterbacks. This, we're told, is why there aren't hordes of black quarterbacks who can fill the bill.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
In reality the exact opposite is true. <O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
The fact of the matter is the caste system has done its best to force-feed the masses a steady diet of atrocious excuses for quarterbacks, what we at Caste Football refer to as a "black quarterback."Â With the endorsement of biased "scouting"Â services that artificially enhance the comparative abilities of black high school athletes, a steady stream of "electric"Â black quarterbacks has stacked the rosters of college programs across the country. And for better than two decades sports outlets such as ESPN have filled the public's mind with assertions that, "So and so [insert any black guy's name here] is a game-changer,"Â to give "validity"Â to the notion that fans are actually seeing the best players available. This scripted sermon is given religiously every Saturday despite the obvious fact that most of these "electrifying playmakuhs"Â aren't even marginally effective at throwing the football.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
The truth is, the Powers That Be have been dreaming of aplayerlike Tim Tebow who would revolutionize the quarterback position for decades now ... only Tebow is the wrong color to be "that" quarterback. Or should I say black quarterback? <O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
How many times have we been regaled with mythological tales (these are more correctly known as lies) about some affirmative action project taking the snaps who can throw the ball 80 yards in the air from his knees AND run like a tailback AND has the type of leadership skills that willlift his teammates to new heights? <O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
The answer, of course, is that we've heard these liesevery single time a team trots out a new black quarterback ... and we continue to hear them until it becomes so obvious that saidindividual is such a piss poor shadow of what a real quarterback should be that even the Drunken White Fans realize he's an inadequatefacade. Then they trot out the next "game changer," and begin the lies anew.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
The evidence of these failed "phenoms" is abundant in the NFL. The horrifying Kordell Stewart experiment. Colossal busts Akili Smith, Tavaris Jackson, JaMarcus Russell, Quincy Carter, Charlie Batch. The felonious novelty act Mike Vick. This year, Miami's head coach promised Pat White a shot to be the starter for the Dolphins "¦ and didn't laugh! For the record, White appeared in 13 games for the Dolphins and didn't complete a pass.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
[As an aside, since the latter stages of Randall Cunningham's career, when he too became a pocket passer, the successful black quarterbacks have been traditional drop-back passers "¦ even those who began their careers as good runners "¦ from the adequate game-managers (Aaron Brooks and Jason Campbell) to the terribly inconsistent but sometimes brilliant (Donovan McNabb and Daunte Fumblepepper).]<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
Therein lies the problem with the White Knight. <O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
You see, Tebowactuallydoes have the athleticism, passing prowess, and leadership ability that the talking heads have been craving all this time. Only he isn't black. <O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
"Sadly," Tebow is very, very White. And not only in skin tone, butin character, as well. He's a great player who is also a great guy ... and he's too much like the heroes from classic, golden-age movies (when bigger-than-life characters were portrayed by White men) to be allowed.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
As such, they have done everything within their power to destroy Tim Tebow's NFL future, as they have tried to do with that mythic figure in White America's consciousness. <O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
Just take a look at the "news"Â reports coming out regarding his prospects as a potential NFL quarterback. It's as if all the "experts"Â who are quoted arereading from ascript:<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
"The biggest question that I have is that so much of his success was based on his run skills and competitiveness. In the N.F.L., that won't work."Â<O:p></O:p>
"He doesn't have the pure passing skills, accuracy, or throw the ball well enough vertically. His mechanics are flawed and his throwing motion is awkward."Â<O:p></O:p>
"I don't know how you take a kid in the first round, who you are going to have to change absolutely everything he does, his drop, his delivery."Â<O:p></O:p>
"He has a windup delivery. He carries the ball too low. And he needs to read progressions. He's a helluva player, but how do you make him a first-round pick when you have to change so much?"<O:p></O:p>
"Danny Wuerffel was a winner, too."<O:p></O:p>
"He has a long delivery, and he probably doesn't know how to read defenses. He's inconsistent with his accuracy, and you have to question whether he can anticipate in the pocket. Plus, he never played under center. I'd have to put him on the board to see how smart he is, but I can't see him going in the first round. No way."
<O:p></O:p>
If they allow Tebow an opportunity, then it is possible that the old powers of our people would begin to re-surface in the common man's mind. That's why all the "problems" with Tebow are repeated incessantly, when in reality the "problems"are actually just the opposite. In fact, if he were black, these "problems" we keep hearing about would actually be referred to by another term (one that is always associated with the negro afflete).<O:p></O:p>
That word is upside.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
You see, all Tebow's negative issues are technique related. He has sloppy footwork. He has an elongated throwing motion. His accuracy is sometimes erratic. He rarely has taken snaps from under center. <O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
Six years ago (in the 2004 Draft) there was another quarterback who was tremendously successful at the college level, who was also a physically imposing athlete that threw with incredible accuracy, but who was torn apart by scouts for his "huge"Â issues of an unusual throwing motion and questionable arm strength. Not coincidentally, this quarterback was also White. His name was Philip Rivers.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
For anyone who is wondering, he's turned out to be okay.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
After honing his craft behind Drew Brees for a couple of years, Rivers was named the starter in 2006. By 2008, Rivers had the highest quarterback rating in the NFL with a league leading 34 Touchdown passes.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
Like Rivers, ALL of Tebow's issues are readily correctable and improvable ifhe has a strong work ethic and good coaching from the people who are paid to improve quarterbacks' technique. They are called quarterback coaches. Tebow certainly has the work ethic, as we all know. And since his "issues" are correctable, he has tremendous potential to improve because of his upside. He has been incredibly dominant (88 career touchdown passes and 57 career touchdown runs in his record-setting collegiate career) while still having huge areas of improvement that can be tapped into ...which is what we're told time and again that "talent scouts" are looking for in a player.<O:p></O:p>
<O:p></O:p>
And that's just the thing. Tebow has everything else the position needs, at leastwith regard tothe mental and physical aspects of the game. He has the arm. He has the speed. The strength. The toughness. The leadership skills. The desire to be THE BEST.

<O:p></O:p>
And while unfunny jokes like Pat White and Mike Vick and Vince Young and so forth are taking snaps on a weekly basis in the NFL, the "experts" want Tebow to be a linebacker or fullback or tight end. Yeah, that sounds like logic to me.
<O:p></O:p>
That's why "they" don't want him to have a chance. Because he would be what they've always wanted ... except that he'd do it while being White.

I have a hard time believing there's not at least a few teams willing to give Tim a chance to play QB even though the Caste system is trying it's hardest to force Tim to switch positions at an almost absurd level. I don't remember this much anger over any player from the experts. Brady Quinn received a similar type of hatred from these same experts (they were frothing at the mouth angry about Quinn costing him being the #1 pick and millions) though because they wanted JaMarcus Russell to go #1.

"Russell's future prospects? The wise men on television Saturday nearly
all promised great things. But they nearly always do. Draft days are
for optimism, and posing for the cameras while holding up a team
jersey. And it would be hard not be fascinated by a guy with a bazooka
hanging from his right shoulder, who can throw the football 60 yards
from his knees.

Agreed. Physically talented, proven winner, great chararcter. How can that be a bad pick? No matter what the anti-white bozo's that do draft day predictions think, you know there is a GM out there that would love to get there hands on a prospect like him.

I did see one draft projection by someone on CBS sportsline predicting Jacksonville would take him in round one.

Jacksonville is one of the worst anti-white teams in the league. If he does end up there will he even start over super afflete David Garrard?

Perhaps he'll get drafted by Jacksonville, and learn how to dink-and-dunk with the best of them by a tutelage under Garrard, unlike Rivers who learned to throw downfield while learning from Brees.

Tim could do with a year under a great QB. maybe Vikings? he'd have a year under Brett (if he ever retires) and would probably be used in some plays for his running ability if not as a relief passer straight away (not that he's not already way ahead of their former starter, Tavaris J...)

Here is the latest "scouting report" on Tebow from our good friend, Scott Wright:

Strengths:
Good height and outstanding bulk --- Terrific athleticism --- Excellent strength --- Arm is strong enough to make all the throws --- Can throw on the run --- Shows some elusiveness --- Can buy time in the pocket and make plays with his legs --- Powerful runner --- Extraordinarily competitive --- Tough as nails --- Fantastic work ethic --- Smart --- Has a ton of experience against top-notch competition --- Incredible leader.

Weaknesses:
Zero experience in a pro style offense --- A long delivery and serious mechanical issues with his throwing motion --- Has trouble throwing a tight spiral --- Not overly accurate --- Poor footwork --- Will have to adjust to taking snaps from under center --- Must learn how to read defenses and coverages --- Marginal vision --- Is too eager to run at times --- Minor durability concerns --- May have to learn a new position.

Notes:
A three-year starter for the Gators --- Regarded as one of the greatest players in college football history --- Helped lead Florida to two BCS National Championships --- Became the first sophomore to ever win the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and was also a finalist in 2008 and 2009 --- A three-time All-American (1st Team in 2007, 3rd Team in 2008 and 2nd Team in 2009) --- Earned 1st Team All-SEC honors in 2007, 2008 and 2009 --- A two-time winner of the Maxwell Award (2008 and 2009), given to the Collegiate Player of the Year --- Winner of the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award in 2007 --- Recipient of the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, given to the most outstanding senior student-athlete, in 2009 --- Elected a captain by his teammates as a junior and senior --- Became the only player in NCAA history to ever rush and pass for more than 20 touchdowns in a single season in 2007 --- Extremely active in the community and works intensively with a wide assortment of charitable foundations --- Has traveled to the Philippines for mission trips on a number of occasions --- Could also project to Tight End, H-Back or Fullback at the next level --- Physical style of play has led to his body taking quite a pounding over the years --- Product of Urban Meyer's spread system, which did little or nothing to prepare him for the pros --- Has the physical tools to play quarterback in the NFL and intangibles are second to none but is basically a raw ball of clay at this point --- A long-term project who will likely require at least 2-3 years of development but can contribute in other ways in the meantime --- Will probably be selected earlier than he should be based on his impressive college résumé and absolutely impeccable character --- Just might go down as the most controversial prospect in the history of the NFL Draft.

May have to learn a new position huh? What position would that be Mr. Wright? Fullback maybe? or tight end? If this idiot is going to say that he needs to learn a new position then why not say he can be tailback. He has the athletic ability for it.

Incidentally, later in the thread, after idiot posters are speculating thatTebow willbe a 3rd round pick, Scott Wright interjected that according to everyone of importance that he's talked to, Tebow should be a 1st round lock.

If Tebow was black they would be screaming for him to be moved to tailback. They would be drooling over his athleticism and potential at the tailback position. Eric Crouch should have been a tailback at the next level and look what happened. Scott Frost could have played the position in the NFL as well but at least he got moved to a caste position in safety.

I'm not worried about it at this point. From all of the commentary from people that matter, Tebow will be going into the NFL as a QB. And with a little grooming, he's going to be awesome.

4.75? He ran a reported 4.5 out of high school and the slowest Ive seen on him is 4.69 which I think was at a Nike training camp out of high school. Also put up 38 bench presses which was 2nd for ALL positions. Im positive he will run in the low 4.6 range at the combine maybe high 4.5 if he trains hard enough. I wouldn't mind seeing him play tailback if he isn't used as a qb. A FB or TE would be a total waste of talent.

Maybe it's his SEC connection, but Tebow has been getting more love at other forums. In the oft-mentioned Scott Wright NFLDraftCountdown site, even Wright is piling on the love with this comment on the Tebow thread:

If by some chance he kills it at the Senior Bowl? Top 5? #1 Overall?

All I have to say is if Convick was allowed to play quarterback in the NFL and Tebow is not then there is something terribly wrong.

Oh, but don't you remember all of those obviously non edited videos with him throwing balls out of stadiums? That room brightening smile that would melt everyone's heart? Or don't laugh all at once, everyone saying how intelligent and what a natural feel for the game that he had? That's NFL caliber talent if there ever was.

I remember watching one of those camp shows years ago, probably on HBO, but don't remember now, where they were showing ConVick and his coaches. His coaches were raving how smart he was and how quickly he was picking up on the offense. Then they go to ConVick himself who tries to talk and winds up sounding like Mushmouth on Fat Albert. Ibba beeba booba dooba, I knew right then and there that everything they were selling was complete Bullspit in regards to him.

You are correct on all the BearBacker. Convick is very small for a quarterback and is about as dumb as they come but that didn't stop him from being a starter for years. I eventually think he will get out of Philly and some stupid coach will let him become a starter again.

Tebow could throw a 50 yard pass on his knees when he was only 12. That was one of the things that got Russell drafted first overall.

Dungy says he would take him top ten

""As a coach, I always like winners," Dungy said. "Tim Tebow doesn't have the classic throwing motion, he doesn't have the accuracy, maybe, right now that some people are looking for, but I think when he gets into a pro system that really stresses throwing the ball accurately, the big thing is he makes the people around him better. And he's won. ... I think he's going to be a great player in the NFL."

Dungy said that if he were running a team with a Top 10 pick, he'd take Tebow. Patrick then asked Dungy who he'd pick for his team if he could have any of the top college quarterbacks, including Washington's Jake Locker, Notre Dame's Jimmy Clausen, Oklahoma's Sam Bradford and Texas's Colt McCoy. Dungy didn't hesitate and said, "I'm taking Tebow."

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/10/30/tony-dungy-tim-tebow-will-be-a-great-nfl-quarterback/ Im pretty sure the mainstream media respects Tony Dungy's opinion and he did coach a team that had Peyton Manning on it.Edited by: dwid

I read today that Tim Tebow and his parents will be featured in a Super Bowl commercial that Focus on the Family has purchased due to some generous donations by a anonymous few estimated at 2.8 million dollars. The commercial is reportedly going to be a pro-life message(anti-abortion) featuring the story of Tim's missionary parents of which his mother was pregnant with her fifth child and was having complications and a overseas doctor advised her to have a abortion, she refused and had Tim and the rest is history. I look forward to seeing this commercial and inspiring message.

We've all heard that Jacksonville Jaguars' owner Wayne Weaver has considered
taking Tim Tebow in this upcoming NFL Draft. He said, quote, "Star power is
incredible, and Tebow is an iconic figure. That's very compelling. He clearly is
an outstanding football player and would be an asset to any football
organization." Rumor has it they're already conducting a survey to project
Tebow's effect on Jaguar ticket sales if he was to be selected. Really, though?
It's a simple equation.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are hurting for ticket sales. BAD. Tim Tebow is a
god in Florida. 1+1=?

If the Jaguars want to put butts in the seats, they'll take Tebow, and
they'll need to take him in the first round. Sure, 15-20th overall might be too
high for a project player like Tebow, but the reality is he'll probably be gone
by that point in the 2nd Round.

A few weeks ago, I was looking at the comments in an article on Tim Tebow. I found one from a DWF that said, "Tebow is nothing but a Great White Hope. I can't wait to see him flop in the NFL. He and Gerhart are getting too much attention."
