Just look at how horrible the 1950s were! How racist! How sexist! A happy housewife living a fulfilled life raising a family? Sexist! A woman headlining her own tv show? Sorry, but the 1950s are still an outrage and must be vilified! Women were SO oppressed and miserable! How could anyone tolerate a happy family on tv that doesn't even have any diversity? No homo or tranny family members???!!! Clearly a racist show and clearly the 1950s were an evil time to be alive!

Take a good, long look. This is the America that liberals and coward republicans have tossed in the trash, against our will.

Good song with an even better video!

Sadly, we all know a music video for mainstream band could never be made nowadays without diversity. Other than the token African with a shaved head, they’d throw in a few fatties for “body positivity”.

Being a romantic and sentimentalist who is also black-pilled, I'm not ashamed to say I have a soft spot for the Goo Goo Dolls.

As far as the fatties and body positivity, that's what Sports Illustrated's once famous annual swimsuit issue devolved into in recent years, also including "models" in their 50s. It may even be discontinued entirely by now as The Narrative must be relentlessly pushed no matter how much circulation and ratings tumble. I'm old enough to remember when boys anticipated SI's swimsuit issue almost as much as getting a glimpse of the naked babes in Playboy magazine. What incomprehensibly sad times we live in. . .

I have no shame admitting that I like the Goo Goo Dolls. They were a quintessential 90s band, along with other enjoyable acts such as the Gin Blossoms, Third Eye Blind, and 3 Doors Down to name a few more of that genre.

Regarding the SI Swimsuit editions, I can commiserate. I began collecting them post college. I even went back and bought the editions on EBay going back to 2000 or 2001. I noticed that around 2016, it started going south. That year they put a beached whale as one of the 3 covers. I purchased one of the other covers. 2017 was a bit of a reprieve. 2018 they went with a fairly, no name black model. I bought it many months later for a few bucks on eBay, which showed that others had little interest either as previous years would sell for much more. 2019 was the year the Marxists went all in. Full on diversity, fatties, hijabs and the very unappealing Lindsey Vonn and lesbian Megan Rapinoe. I ended my collection obviously and I didn’t even bother to check on the 2020. I assumed that it would be just as bad as they never give an inch once they take it. Oh well, another previously enjoyable thing ruined. Sad times indeed Don....

The best and most famous SI swimsuit issues go back to the days of Christie Brinkley and Cheryl Tiegs. Both became megastars in the '70s and '80s due to being on the cover of SI's swimsuit issue and featured in its pages multiple times. If you've ever seen National Lampoon's Vacation (1983), a very funny movie, that was made at the height of Christie's fame. Cheryl Tiegs was shown wearing a mesh top that exposed her areola and nipples circa 1978, which caused a huge sensation and helped vault her to the top of the super model totem pole. Such different times, which were oriented to feminine beauty when it comes to sexuality, as any even relatively healthy society should.

I saw the Goo Goo Dolls at least twice, most likely three times in the late 90’s without ever intending to see them. The first was fuzzy and may not have happened pre internet days as been an opening opening band for Tom Petty, the 2nd definitely was the opening band for Bush, the 3rdish was with my buddy lost drunk and stumbling around downtown ElPaso Texas randomly buying a ticket to whoever was playing which they headlined. Not the worst experience in the world, the 3rd time was definitely like shooting fish in a barrel as far as girl to guy ratio. Not the most manly experience to be had, our CO Captain Jugs was also in attendance and friendlier from that day on. She might have thought we were pillowbiters though.

Michelle Phillips is certainly one of the most beautiful women ever. She looks like an angel. She was a member of the 1960s pop group the Mamas and the Papas. Here's a video of one of their songs with a picture of the group. Michelle is second from the left. You probably didn't need me to tell you that.

Years ago, I was working on a job right down at the battery in NYC on the first really nice day of the spring, I remember the young women getting the Staten Island ferry. It seemed each one was more beautiful than the one who just passed and she was a knockout herself. I almost od'd on watching beautiful women that day.

We all must take everything with a grain of salt though. You just can't marry the outer shell, you have to take the full woman and everything there is that goes with her.

As my mom used to tell my sisters as they were preening, "Beauty is as beauty does" - how very, very true.

I always thought the hippie singer Melanie Safka was beautiful. She has classic slavic features. She has a tremendous voice. Here she is with one of her songs.

Clara Bow was a famous movie star from the silent era. Another beautiful white woman.

Gene Tierney............with her dark green eyes, pouty lips and general perfect facial symmetry has to rank up there.........

When she was 17 her family took a trip from Ohio to vacation on the West coast and while there they visited Hollywood to see the screen sets
and before the tour was over she was offered a movie contract based on her looks alone.........

She never had her first name changed to the female spelling of it....and nobody was ever confused about that either.......lol!
