Embiid has played in 40 games so far and needs at least 18 out of the last 30 to be eligible for the scoring title. He's only cleared this mark in three of his five full NBA seasons (and his tally in the shortened 2020-21 season cleared the mark by only one game). Just something to keep an eye on.

Luka has played in 47 games, including the three-minute, zero point night he had recently. He's generally much more durable than the league's other highest-usage player.

We have now reached the NBA All Star Weekend and Game. The Dallas Mavs and Luka Doncic have played 60 of the 82 games so far.

The NBA Scoring Title Race has never been closer with 3 guys all capable of winning the NBA Scoring Title. I almost wish Doncic would
sit out the NBA All Star Game this weekend as he will need all of his energy to hold off these other 2 guys from catching & passing him.
Doncic deserves to win this as he has led the NBA in scoring just about the whole year. That won't matter if he can't finish the job. Let's
stay positive and help root him on to the Scoring Title over the last 2 months of the season. A white guy leading the NBA in Scoring would
be huge for white kids everywhere! Just seeing a modern day player prove it can still be done if a team believes in you!

NBA Scoring Title Chase as of 2-16-23

1 Luka Doncic 33.3 points per game

2 Joel Embiid 33.1 points per game

3 Giannis Ant. 32.5 points per game

With only 7 games left in the 2023 NBA Regular Season we have a super close race for the Scoring Title.

Joel Embiid 33.3 points per game

Luka Doncic 33.1 points per game

These last two weeks of basketball will decide who is the NBA's Leading Scorer.
Good Luck to Luka Doncic. It's hasn't been a good season team wise as the Mavs
have really struggled. Win the Scoring Title and make history would be a nice way
to end the season and build around Doncic this off season. Let's root him on guys!

I don't want to get your guys hopes up but at the same time I have to remain positive. Good vibes only! With only 5 games left to play
for the Mavs the lead is down to .02 points per game! Joel Embiid played tonight so he has 4 games left now with Doncic 5.

2023 NBA Leading Scorers:

Joel Embiid 33.0 points per game

Luka Doncic 32.8 points per game

It's up for grabs guys! So the scoring title still can go either way and the Mavs still have a chance at the playoffs so there
is alot to play for. Dallas plays the Miami Heat tommorow afternoon and there are only 2 nba games tommorow. Must
see tv. Good luck to the Mavs and especially to Luka Doncic! :)

With under 3 games to play Doncic was only down by .04 for the NBA Scoring Title. Sadly the Mavs lost too many games and fell out of the
playoff races and the Mavs decided not to play him killing any chance of Luka Doncic winning the scoring title. Very unfair but Luka Doncic
still finished 2nd in the NBA in Scoring! He had a tremendous season and if the team supported him like most teams do with their superstar
he would have most likely won the title. Let's hope he will in the near future as he is only 24 years of age!

Final NBA Scoring Title:

(1) Joel Embiid 33.1 points per game

(2) Luka Doncic 32.4 points per game

(3) Damian Lillard 32.2 points per game

Scoring is overrated anyway, Jokic is easily the best player in the NBA and he's never even finished top 5 in PPG, while guys like Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson led the league in PPG and they were never close to the player Jokic is, they just hogged the ball and took more shots.

Larry Bird never did it.
The Goat could have easily led the league in scoring several times, but he was a very unselfish player. He averaged a career double/double in scoring and rebounding and averaged over 6 assists per game in a much more physical era of the game. He also played against arguably the best players ever in any era. Injuries also curtailed his career. He also won the 3-point contest three years in a row. Respect to Doncic, but Bird would own him mentally and physically.
Also, West, Maravich and Barry were great players, but none of them had the complete game Bird did. Maravich was close, but injuries got him as well.

It's time to bump this thread from last year. As we all know Luka Doncic fell just short finishing 2nd in the Scoring Race in 2022/2023.

It's not gonna happen this year barring some incredibly bad luck. With 10 games to go Doncic is averaging 34 points per game and has
about a 3 1/2 point lead over the 2nd closest guy. This would be epic to see a white guy lead the league in scoring again. It can help
other teams to hopefully give more of our guys a chance to lead their teams as superstars. Hope Doncic can finish strong and finally
win his First of hopefully many Scoring Titles!

It’s over. Luka is the NBA scoring champ, easily. IMO, he’s the best player in the NBA.
