JoeV,
I have concluded that Barkley in fact does not debate, only
editorializes on stereotypes or draws conclusions from
assumptions. Barkley NEVER puts himself in a situation where
his views can be challenged.
One day you might find him on a panel with some white morons
who seek his "expertise" on matters of race. After Barkley spits
out some rope-a-dope opinions filled with racial unity and guilt,
the panel usually has nothing more to say than Thank You. On
another day he might be speaking to a black man on black
matters. In this forum he sticks to the same rope-a-dope,
Malcolm X strategy, but changes his messages to black unity
and blacks are still oppressed. Again, his opinions will stand
without any counter.
As far as his entertainment value, watching Barkley speak is
like watching a NHL shootout with one team and no goalies.
It is true that Barkley speaks his mind, this is because the caste
system allows him to do so. He has his time, how do I get my
time?
Peace!
